Reminder - it looks like we are on for another 10 day difficulty cycle as compared to a 15 day cycle. It last changed on the 10th, so it can happen any time after the 20 (a special christmas present for us) yeah??? hahah...more like a lump of coal =/

Does anyone still remember TF AND his scam
+1 canīt believe this sick scam isnīt talked about anymore... btc scams are far too easy to pull at the moment and people just forget it after a few days I haven't and I'll remember this for a long time.

I guess by now everyone knows about cex.io - if you spam too much, you'll get your posts deleted.

not BF1 I don't think. It's been sat the same for over a month I think. I'd go GHS but don't forget it's a trading platform not a mining earner. The price is too high for GHS so try to build your stash up slowly buying and selling. Keep an eye on the drops and ups. I've been waiting more than a month for BF1 to come online =(

They're comping the user - I don't see the big deal??

Everything is fine CEX was very prompt in their replies and help. Now, I really need some sleep ... What had happened? Just everyone make sure to have 2 Factor Authentication on your account NOW and you'll be fine If you do not / can't have 2FA I'd recommend withdrawing coins for now - until the current issue is fully resolved. If you have 2FA you're fine. I don't want to give too many details, as there is an issue which I am sure CEX is resolving (and they are reimbursing anyone who has been affected too) Glad you recovered your account!

Hi guys!
With bitcoin so cheap, right now is a great time to get into cloud mining. If you have any questions at all. Let me know. I'll help if I can. The next difficulty level is expected to be big with the introduction of new ASIC hardware, so pay attention to the market if you do trade in GPS.

I personally like the service, but it's way over price right now. Will have to wait until the next cycle to buy back in. I thought this was an interesting thread when it was people commenting on the CEX market price and it was originally entitled, "Good price at CEX.io". The title was then changed a week or two back to "[Not] Good price at CEX.io" then a few haters and people who had been burned elsewhere arrived to vent, share their tales of loss, pour negativity on CEX and all who use it. Yes, life is risky, yes, you may have been burned. Most folks are well aware that the bitcoin community is filled with scammers and thieves, most of them quite likely to be the older, supposedly more trustworthy members of this community of the age and ilk of those venting and hating here. Even in my short life as a registered member of this forum I've managed to narrowly avoid loss with Bitfunder, Inputs.io, and mcxNOW and it could be that everywhere I place my bitcoins carries some degree of risk. There's no such thing as risk-free lunch after all. However, what all the venters and haters have said amounts only to criticism and critique, there's been no positive solutions offered, just the usual caveat emptor and why don't you do what I do because I know best while they pour scorn on CEX and anyone who has a good word to say about it. Well, it may be that to some people CEX is the worst thing since sliced bread and maybe CEX will run off like thieves in the night with our bitcoins, but in the meantime I'm happy to use the service, I like CEX, I appreciate it has pitfalls, manipulatory practices and is inherently risky but that's fine with me right now. Maybe I'll get additional information that will change my mind tomorrow, maybe I won't, but my comments on this thread are at an end, I will leave those of you who are burned, bitter, venting and hating to share your negativity with whomever will listen.

I see a few more changes to the website so maybe updates were being pushed again. UP and running fine now
Arg...still pretty slow for me.

The point is they don't even need to steal. Just induce panic by dumping terahashes then buy-back cheaply. Remember that CEX has at least 1 PH/s more to sell if they want to. It's not a real exchange in any way, you have to play by their rules. You're bassically trading an universally liquid asset like bitcoin for something completely illiquid without the cex market. Your choice anyway, but I really consider it dumb.
It's tied to a constant stream of dividends. They have not lost the market's trust yet...but it's still a fairly young invention... They have no reason to play the market as it would mean less money for them down the line.

from here it looks like cex has a problem with funds in the ghash.io pool since around 0.00~0.30 am this night (european time). None funds paying since then.

Yes me too, hope they fix it soon.... Mine is working fine now.

Now we know TF is 吴泽岳. His brother is 吴乐水 who lives in BeiJing. In china, We gathered some victims who had been stolen 1400+ bitcoins by TF. We are ready to report TF and his brother to BeiJing police. If TF or one of his alias is in china, we will find them.
We need some victims outside china join us, so BeiJing police might make it prime care. If you live in BeiJing now, there is nothing better!
PM me if you are interested.
I'm a victim from Canada - 30 BTC. I'll join you.

Sure, you could make a loss on your original investment if the price per Ghs goes down...but you can too by trading your bitcoins. Cex.io is basically just paying you interest on the bitcoins that you invest.....in the form of GHs.
For me it is a no brainer. Why keep bitcoin in a wallet earning nothing when I can get interest on it?
And what is the consequence to CEX if they run with people's wallets? It has happened time and time again in the history of BTC. It's one thing to use their service, but do not use their service as a piggybank. Many new users learned this the hard way with 50BTC. All we need is a hacker and then the "Oops, we lost everybody's coins" excuse. Oh...you made me sad...this was my situation with coinlender.. =(

Yes, I have another unit on a different order. If I open up another groupbuy I will put up another image with 1 unit on it if you like:) You mentioned that you might put your fourth unit up for GB but the order is only for three. There is nothing in that image to reassure me so I guess we have no option but to trust you now that you have our BTC When was it ordered? I was hoping for another one of these day 1 badboys.

I have reported this to the Western Australian Police. I'm not going to post any details yet as I'm waiting for things to develop. I'll keep you guys informed of any important developments though.
If anyone has reported a crime to their locals authorities (including within Australia) could you PM me the reference numbers and I'll pass them on to the police.
Thank you!

If you guys really want to do virtual mining on a large scale (ie you have lots of $), do it this way. Buy a large order (either preorder or existing hardware for sale) and have it shipped to a colocation center. There are several members on this forum that have made this their business (with contracts, insurance, security, etc).
They will handle all the messy hardware and maintenance, you just collect the mining proceeds. Should you ever wish to sell it just transfer the contract to another interested party.
Yes it is more work. But in this world if something seems too good to be true it is....especially with mining. If 0.07BTC/GH/s was a good price then everybody would be buying it.
No free BTC lunches except for scammers.
Lol - even scammers have to work. TF got away with my money. OH....I just made myself sad.

Deposits and withdrawals (minor ones as a test) worked flawlessly. And quick! I normally invests profits of mining into more power but i had to try a withdrawal. Worked like a charm!
They had some issues a few days ago, but everything is moving quickly now.
