1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was 2017 the "Golden Year of Crypto"? on: Today at 08:36:47 PM
Q4 of 2017 and Q1 of 2018 is the most golden period for everyone related to cryptos even bounty hunters made thousands to millions by doing simple tasks even when they have not much knowledge related to cryptos.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: Today at 07:25:28 PM
K. L. Rahul is playing too much well. He scored 132 runs (not out). I think he is the 3rd highest scorer in IPL history. He just hitting 7 sixes and 14 fours. Just fantastic! I hope Kings XI will easily wins today's match. In this moment Royal Challengers lost 5 wickets. They scored only 57. I didn't think they would play so badly. I thought they would score at least 160 runs.

Sounds very familiar and this happens to RCB every year. They start with a bang, and then suddenly they start losing by big margins. Losses happen to the other teams as well. But none of them lose as badly as RCB does. Today the Kings XI Punjab defeated them by 97 runs!! Apart from Devdutt Padikkal and Yuzvendra Chahal, all the other players look ordinary. And Dale Steyn was the biggest failure.

RCB need to work on their tactics if they really want to win matches or at least get close to the victory.I am big fan of RCB even though they didn't perform well as a team because they got so much talented individuals but still fails miserably as a whole team.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: Today at 06:34:03 PM
Finally i found a free streaming of IPL at facebook. Sports corner are showing all the matches of IPL live on Facebook. The only drawback is that they crop the original telecast from top so that the  official logos are not shown but in this process sometimes the face of the players are also cropped. (as shown in below screenshot). Anyways this is a very good way to enjoy live IPL free of cost in countries where IPL is not allowed to show on televisions.

Simply this is violation of your country laws and also that kind of pages illegally broadcasting without any rights.
Look at number of active viewers 23.4K this is rediculous amount and I hope some of them reported that page for stealing contents which sold for billions.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This will help day traders and newbie traders. on: Today at 05:02:15 PM
Newbie should not directly jump into day trading if they don't want to lose their capital in quick time, we can't be a master in day trading but we can definitely make more money in shorter trading format but all you need to do is to pick the right coin and trade with a stable pair for less risks.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain and Bitcoin adoption globally. What is the cause of the slow pace. on: Today at 02:35:19 PM
Blockchain and Bitcoin has been on for more than a decade (according the statoshi's white paper) and up until this moment, there is still struggle in the global community in terms of adoption. Countries like India once placed sanctions on the technology and later lifted it. Russia made laws to govern and regulate the operation of the technology in a bid to take advantage of the solutions it proffers and loads of other stuff ongoing in different locations but still we still have a very slow paced increase in growth and devlopment and acceptance. What could possibly be the reason and what are the ways to further create awareness and global acceptance.
Don't say more than a decade its just a decade. Smiley

Blockchain technology exists here for almost three decades and it only got implemented in 2008 by satoshi into the creation of crypto currencies.
6  Local / India / Re: And this happened!! on: Today at 05:26:13 AM
RBI hasn't withdrawn the circular if I'm not wrong, so banks can still close accounts without proper justification as of now. They need not be suspicious of any illegal activities or so.

This is actually unfortunate for RBI circular stands squashed and yet hasn't been withdrawn, infact I think the exchanges shud approach the court for it to order to withdraw the circular.
I don't think there is need of withdrawal process needed anymore since its clear that supreme court cancelled it,if any bank closing account just for cryoto trading then they are contempting supreme court's justice and can leads to serious legal problems for RBI governor.
7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Technology and comfort taking over our lives. Privacy, a thing of the past? on: September 23, 2020, 07:44:41 PM
But it seems people don't care about their data has been tracked and sold to some other company for any purpose.We need to live with smartphones with no privacy or hae to make a life in a cave because even if you don't have the smartphones still there are some eyes which can track you that is called as security cameras.
8  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump has declared that he’ll ban Tiktok over privacy concerns!!! on: September 23, 2020, 06:57:34 PM
^ Just this news in my locale language where they mentioned that Trump is not happy with the majority of company is still owned by the Bytedance company.

Another Chinese company called Tencent is not moving their head office to Singapore since India banned Pubg and also they concern about USA as next to ban so they are taking actions early to save them from huge losses.

Yeah I highly doubt PUBG (and TenCent holdings as a whole) is suspect to getting knocked down for some stuff. TikTok is big and a data hog of American citizens. Pubg is really not the same IMO.

They best thing they can do, proactively, is to try to partner with American companies for retaining their data. This could be something that is more beneficial for these people if it's cheaper to host their data with someone like Amazon (and Microsoftr) instead of self hosted or another foreign competitor.

But this story about Trump and TikTok changes all the time, seems like Trump is now saying that he has agreed to the deal between TikTok, Oracle and Walmart. But with how the news works, things could change as quickly as tomorrow (or the next few hours, lol)

Tencent just holds 11% of total shares but still got banned by Indian government just for the reason of Chinese based company and if Trump got successful with Tiktok then I believe he is going to apply the same strategy to every Chinese working app in USA for sure.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who sets the bitcoin price? on: September 23, 2020, 06:12:07 PM
Thoughts about whales/organizations do have a solid foundation.
Obviously, large capital holders (both in bitcoin and in dollars and in mining capacities) can influence the market very strongly. Perhaps because of this, someone makes the erroneous conclusion that whales "own" the market.
The market does not belong to the whales but they often play with the price of bitcoin. Whales have the ability to improvise bitcoin price because they have a lot of capital. Supply and demand are thing that forever affect the price of bitcoin and it is trader who do.

I agree that exchange can manipulate bitcoin price within a certain range and we often hear that they also have fake volume and this is purely for the benefit of the organization itself.
Manipulation can bring serious damage if there is a manipulation comes along with some incident related to cryptos, fale volumes not really affect the market but the quick change in the market movement does and more often newbies are the one to get trapped with these kind of whale manipulation.
10  Local / India / Re: Portable Electrum Wallet Problem on: September 23, 2020, 05:08:52 PM
Download Electrum APK from the link I gave on the above post or from the google play store then install it.

1) Once you installed open the app and select create new wallet,

2) Click Standard Wallet then click next.

3) Select I already have a seed then click next

4) Then enter your <Seed Phrase> and click next

then your wallet will appear with whatever funds you got left.

Sorry I am on my mobile now so can't able to post those screenshots.
11  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Corona Virus Update - India! on: September 23, 2020, 02:56:49 PM
There is a debate happening that there is a chance that second wave could hit the country and if this happens India would be effected most badly with it since currently approx. 0.1 million cases are being recorded daily and if second wave comes it would be unimaginable how many cases could rise and what will happen to people and their businesses.
Even if there is another wave of corona virus hit India we have less chances of having strict lockdown because government already mentioned they don't have any money to extend the lockdown and also they didn't do anything for the public, because this government care for owners not for the employee.Possibly we will lose millions of life but it will be still counted as negligible amount by our honourable leaders. Embarrassed

Actually if you go outside or walk down the streets you will understand that the government is helpless as most Indians give a damm about this virus and are not following the SOPs.

Remembers Lockdown, Few Indians never followed those rules, they even fought with the frontlne workers. What would you expect the government to do when people themselves have taken this disease ligthly.

Punish the people but what government is doing is just asking the fine and in India people will bribe the police to avoid paying fee or they will use their political influence to violate the paws by government.
12  Local / India / Re: Portable Electrum Wallet Problem on: September 23, 2020, 01:57:18 PM
Hello , I have some Bitcoin in a portable elecron wallet  which is on my pen drive . Now if I try to transfer the bitcoin to an address in Localbitcoin or any other address , it says "error: server didn't respond " . My electron version is 2.9.0 , which is quite old .  Maybe this is the reason I am unable to send the bitcoin . And I am unable to upgrade it to current version . How do I upgrade ? And if I download the 4.0.3 version , it just doesn't open in my computer .

Do you have the recovery seed of your portable version? If yes then you can upgrade your wallet into new version with no issues.

https://electrum.org/#download here you can find the latest version, if you still having problem with installation just download the android format and install it into your smartphone then import the old wallet recovery seed here to get access to your funds.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dollar cost average on Altcoins on: September 23, 2020, 05:57:53 AM
Instead of buying altcoins based on the dollars based price better buy them with a stable coin so you can trade the pair when the price swings and bag some profits.

Dump from the altcoins are unavoidable so make sure you are ready to face the worst dump while you are in the process of making money.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New breed of bitcoin investors? on: September 23, 2020, 04:11:51 AM
New generation people invest on cryptos after watching youtube video or reading an article with the hope of making good returns in a year but investments won't generate money in that way, even 4 years is quite low to make huge profits probably they should be ready to hold their coins for the next 10 years. Cheesy
15  Local / Press & News from India / Re: Bitcoin should be regulated as stocks in India ,says Think Tank Founder on: September 22, 2020, 08:17:45 PM
~~~~
This should not be the case as banks employees should not be fearing as still people will continue to operate with the banks and not all of them will come to crypto and considering the risk not many would be even ready to indulge in it. Only thing is that payment or transfers internationally may have a drastic effect rest may get reduce but still will continue to exists.
We never know how much it will affect the banking sector in our country but once the cryptos made legal then more payments will be accepted in our country as well which clearly going to affect the number of banking transaction for sure which is the thing the banks don't want to happen.
Its rare to see new members in our board, anyway good luck for your effort.
Better fit into off topic India not in the main discussion board.
17  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: corona cure from patanjali on: September 22, 2020, 06:26:42 PM
Based on all available data in public domain, Patanjali medicine has 0 effect on corona...
You want to have it, your choice; but it has no benefits at all.
It is said that it is just an immunity booster and may be just beneficial to have a good immune system and make it stronger. though it does not guarantee that it is it will keep you 100% safe from corona else it would have been a vaccine declared till now. But hopefully let’s hope we get vaccine very quickly in the world.
Bro initially it was promoted as a vaccine only, with all frauds lapping it up, but then due to fear of FIR they said it is immunity booster; also if u want to have good immunity; have good healthy diet and abstain from excessive drinking or smoking. No need for these.
No need to buy expensive and inneffective medicine to build our immune system, we can do that by proper diet and healthy foods and spend money on it rather than buying those shit fake products.
18  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Paytm removed from playstore on: September 22, 2020, 05:03:40 PM
There is another debate why Paytm should be removed after banning some chinese apps for the second time earlier thins month since majority of shares are owned by Alibaba.
Still Government is not giving any attention to that!
I don't think the govt has given the reason that Chinese owned apps are banned; it is got to do with "Data Security", per se.
But at the end of the day it is plain politics and optics and no legitimate argument has been forwarded so far.
Exactly,if China owns the shares or company then their are in the position of taking decisions related to anything, we can never sure all the bank transactions on paytm were stored on India only even if it does then China company has access to it and can report it to China as per India's politics.
19  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Paytm removed from playstore on: September 22, 2020, 03:30:09 PM
Few hours earlier one of the most used online banking app in India has been removed by Google's playstore and the reason told for this temporary removal is Paytm violates Google's gambling policies.
May be the reason for the removal is because of their advertisement in the app for fantasy sports and there are reports coming out that google have sent warning mails to many applications to warn users before displaying these gambling based advertisements in their application.
You are absolutely correct; it was due to Fantasy Sports only as is told in this article https://indianexpress.com/article/explained/explained-paytm-goes-from-play-store-how-are-you-affected-6601262/#:~:text=Google%20on%20September%2018%20restored,the%20app%20store's%20gambling%20policies.
But now they have added it back; dunno what negotiations have taken place. BTW they have even warned Hotstar app as it shows adverts of Dream11.
Probably paytm removed that feature from their app or just made dedicated app for fantasy! There is another debate why Paytm should be removed after banning some chinese apps for the second time earlier thins month since majority of shares are owned by Alibaba.
Still Government is not giving any attention to that!
20  Local / India / Re: And this happened!! on: September 22, 2020, 01:56:39 PM
Are they using Paytm or Paytm UPI interface?
Cause you can see that in the same picture they even have Paypal and UPI given too.
If someone could clear the air on this!
I had done some research before creating this topic,I am quoting a paragraph from one articles related to this collaboration.
Quote
Reserve Banks of India [RBI] had restricted banks from providing services in crypto assets to users in 2018, but Supre Court of India quashed this circular in March 2020. Despite this, the central bank has not redacted its circular from the website and banks have been holding onto this to flag users’ payments. Recently, HDFC bank too joined the league of banks – Axis and Kotak bank- in cautioning users about the “probable Virtual Currency transactions” reflected in their accounts and stated that the RBI guidelines prohibited such transactions.
I have been advocating on this board that avoid private banks because there are many issues with them. Things with banking is not that green as it is supposed to be.
Source
So RBI contempt supreme court's decision regarding the issues circular?
Literally they need to pay for it if they simplt freeze any accounts for crypto trades, so no need to worry much about it.
