261  Local / Press & News from India / Re: Bitcoin should be regulated as stocks in India ,says Think Tank Founder on: September 15, 2020, 07:18:58 PM
I have read that Paytm is blocking the bank accounts related to crypto trading. There is no particular bill or rule on the basis of which they are taking such actions. They are working according to their own interests and regulations. So I think it is high time for government to come out with a decision regarding the legal status of Cryptocurrencies so that the people and even banks can be clear about their usage.

Not really, still thousands of people uses Paytm bank account on LBC for trading purpose, they only block the bank accounts which receives money from hacked paytm account and vice versa. They can't literally block for no reasons since Supreme court clearly mentioned that Indians are free to use their bank account for crypto related activities earlier this year.

No more privacy, we are under surveillance for 24/7 with the help of our smartphones. Smiley

Banning smartphones will be the permanent solution for data stealing.
264  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Corona Virus Update - India! on: September 15, 2020, 01:59:22 PM
There is a debate happening that there is a chance that second wave could hit the country and if this happens India would be effected most badly with it since currently approx. 0.1 million cases are being recorded daily and if second wave comes it would be unimaginable how many cases could rise and what will happen to people and their businesses.
Even if there is another wave of corona virus hit India we have less chances of having strict lockdown because government already mentioned they don't have any money to extend the lockdown and also they didn't do anything for the public, because this government care for owners not for the employee.Possibly we will lose millions of life but it will be still counted as negligible amount by our honourable leaders. This is not happening recently/ or only when RBI restricted, this is happening too often and especially the one who send/ received money via paytm bank account which is more likely to be hacked and used to launder the money on p2p sites.

Bitrefill offers their service in India as well, so we can convert out bitcoin into vouchers and can redeem into our amazon and lot other services.

Full list: https://www.bitrefill.com/buy/india/ecommerce/?hl=en

Thanks for the link. Have you ever used their service? I mean I am just trying to understand if they are genuine or not!
No, I didn't user their service but bitrefill is available on multiple countries and also got representative on bitcointalk but better do enough research about them before depositing any cryptos is advisable.

267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone in the Bitcoin ATM business? on: September 13, 2020, 05:25:23 AM
Bitcoin ATMs are goes against our country's law even bitcoin is still legal in our country but in future if bitcoin gets regulated there will be huge potential for Bitcoin ATM in India.Even I did some videos about how to make DIY bitcoin ATMs and make money out of it but no reason to try out it now.

Where can we buy a Bitcoin ATM in Asia?
268  Local / Press & News from India / Re: Bitcoin should be regulated as stocks in India ,says Think Tank Founder on: September 13, 2020, 04:47:35 AM
I dont think Indian government will regulate bitcoins anytime soon. They set up a committee recently and they suggested that all the all the crypto currencies should be banned in india. Government wants to ban bitcoin while supreme court doesn't.
Unfortunately government has the power to make anything legal or illegal as their wish but not going to happen any time soon in my opinion.

270  Local / India / Re: What are best practices when trading P2P? on: September 12, 2020, 06:41:11 PM
You can even request it from the manager and this will be possible especially if you are transacting via that bank more often and having decent amount in that account, of course it will work in India. Wink

Yes, that could work if you're in good terms with a bank employee but it is possible that even bank don't have that information. Maybe they get told by authorities to seize the funds as it is a criminal matter and they just do what they're told.

I asked about the lien information will be revealed to the customer to one of my friend who is working on a private sector bank but he said they don't have rights to reveal it until the party who claimed for chargeback but banks have the information about which transactions are on hold.
271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin difficult to understand on: September 12, 2020, 05:28:41 PM
Peoples fine it difficult to understand what is cryptoccurrency most especially bitcoin, but their interested over cryptoccurrency.
I just suggest that their should be a TEXT BOOK that will discuss about cryptoccurrency in order to educate people who are interested because referring them to online shows that know Manuel evidence of cryptoccurrency. And if their is any article that guide bitcoin.
Lot of books available to get the complete knowledge about blockchain, cryptography and crypto currency which will help someone to learn what is bitcoin completely but who bother to collect these books to get to know about bitcoin?

Even myself had chance to invest on bitcoins in the year 2014 with huge money but simply I didn't because I didn't have clear knowledge about crypto currencies.

Is Zebpay still a thing in India or it's banned ?
Zebpay temporarily stopped their services due to RBI restriction on crypto transaction but when Supreme court cancelled RBI's circular then they are back into the market and they hold decent volume as well like 20+ BTC which is far below compared to wazirx but still a good volume for our country.

Zebpay is far behind now if you compare it with other exchanges who were operating after the RBI ban. I used to use zebpay in those days but now I prefer WazirX, CoinDCX and Giottus. They are far better and have a decent amount of volume if you compare them with Zebpay.
You can use this page : https://coinfeed.in/coins/bitcoin to know the daily trading volume of Indian exchanges trading bitcoins and I can see Zebpay is still in the second but far below the wazirx.
273  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: What are some good Escrow options? on: September 12, 2020, 03:10:40 PM
Bisq

I heard someone say it... It is hands down the best; but it is a shame tht few of us use it.
Almost zero trading volume when I visited Bisq last time and I don't have enough patience to wait for months to sell few INR worth of bitcoin so myself decided not to trade there until there is enough trading volume. I hope in future we can see more people on Bisq.
274  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: What are some good Escrow options? on: September 12, 2020, 01:45:14 PM
Localcryptos FAQ says it may need to 'collect and verify the identities...' - do they have lesser KYC requirements than other P2P sites? (compared to LB and Pax)? Thanks.
LBC and Paxful made it as mandatory to trade on their platform but on Localcryptos that is not the case, maybe they will ask data if terms of the trader needs it or else it is still KYC less trading platform. In case of dispute between a trade also may need your personal details to verify the transaction status and identify scammers.
275  Local / India / Re: Signature Campaign earnings and GST | People please pay attention! on: September 12, 2020, 08:42:09 AM
Hello,

After reading this I had a doubt, we pay taxes, I agree. But only for transactions done in fiat right ?

Everything we do with our bank account is monitored by the RBI and we are questionable and taxable for the same. They are also freezing our bank accounts for being involved in crypto trading. How do they expect us to give them data of something like this when they themselves don't support it.

Also, am I taxable if I just store my BTC as it is ? Like, I sold a service, got paid, I never cashed it out : I just want it to remain as it is in my wallet.

You are not paying taxes for your transactions, you are just need to pay taxes for your earnings basically the income. And taxes are not monitored by RBI so your tax reports will not be going to the bank related offices so you no need to worry about it.

As long as you are not converting your bitcoins into fiat then there is no need of reporting it to tax.
276  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: What are some good Escrow options? on: September 12, 2020, 06:29:15 AM
You can use the forum's trusted members as escrow for your p2p transactions but it is going to take lot of time and expensive fees compared to that KYC required trading platforms.Or else you can use Bisq and Localcryptos like p2p platform which doesn't need KYC verification.
277  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Politics and health care in Africa on: September 11, 2020, 08:18:43 PM
Infrastructure may get better in Africa but their standard of life is not going to get better since they are already trapped by Chinese debt projects and for sure they are not going to return back the money in the certain time so they will lose their land for Chinese government and they will loot all the resources publicly after that.

Corruption is like cancer, if they don't get treatment in the early days then it will be fatal, so try to create better leadership and it can be achieved by their citizen only.

If bank is not saying anything then better try to get the things unofficially or better don't do anything until they start the investigation but he can't use his bank account until the investigation gets completed and it may take years in our country for sure.

Yes. I don't know what you mean by get things done unofficially? You mean like bribe the peon or something? I mean it might work or not but I guess you could try that. And yes, the bank account would remain frozen until they get to the bottom of the things. And they might have lot on their plate already. So it would take a very long time.
You can even request it from the manager and this will be possible especially if you are transacting via that bank more often and having decent amount in that account, of course it will work in India. Wink

India crossed 4.5 million cases by today and we are going at a rate of 97K cases per day, maybe the first position is visible for Indians in terms of corona infection. Lips sealed

Punjab lifted all the lockdown restrictions from sep 13 due to the coming NEET exams, so now exams are more important than the lives of budding kids.
India is very big country with many different problems and political system which is really hurting badly many states already not going with Central Government because they have not policy about this they need to think about this very seriously and quickly because its going to be worst for them nearly 90K+ daily new cases mean they are going to kill many more today after reading few reports I am really feeling bad for them because now I am feeling politicians want to cut population through this virus nothing else.
Politicians never want to kill the people in democracy because they see people life as a vote! Smiley

But they just don't care about the people unless there is an election coming in the near future but now we have 3 more years for the next election in India so they are not ready to take any action to save people.
