My prediction is $15,800 at the end of 2004.

UPDATE: Lol, 2014.
322  Other / Off-topic / Re: Happy New Year! on: January 01, 2014, 04:43:51 AM
15m till Midnight in NYC.  Let's get a BTC rally going and close the year at $800 on bitstamp.  I just bought 6 more btc.  Whoot!
323  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange Now Open with USD, EUR, BTC, LTC, XRP, NMC on: December 10, 2013, 05:06:28 PM
UPDATE:  my xrp withdrawal issue has been resolved.  After one full week, i'm happy to say that Kraken made my 126,000 xrp re-appear and I was able to withdrawal it safely this time.

Thanks for keeping in touch with the community, Dargo.  Hope you guys get all the kinks worked out soon.

anyone else have problems with withdrawing litecoin?

Totally, my LTC deposit didn't show up as it is supposed to.  Kraken resolved the issue within a day.  That was one week ago.
325  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange Now Open with USD, EUR, BTC, LTC, XRP, NMC on: December 10, 2013, 05:56:34 AM
UPDATE: for those who might consider feeding the Kraken with their cryptos.

My latest response from tech support is that "it looks like your problem has been resolved".  Perhaps it looks that way to them because they cleared my balance when they mistakenly marked a stuck transaction as successfully sent.  All i know is i'm out over 100,000 xrp that they still have not broadcast to the network.  And it's been a full week.

That wasn't a response to your ripple withdrawal. It was a response to a ticket you made a long time ago about a bitcoin deposit - and that issue was resolved the day after you made the ticket.

Well maybe you should tell oscar that.  His "problem... resolved" note was attached to my following ticket:

we have a 129k xrp withdrawal stuck, and 300 LTC deposit that never went through. i'm going to hold off on using the site until all this gets cleared.

I tried to transfer XRP to ripple.com. The transaction failed but the XRP were still taken from my account.

Please create a support ticket about this, and you can PM me with the ticket # if you like.
Done. Thanks

Good luck!  A support ticket isn't getting me my xrp back.  I was told they can't get in touch with the person that is supposed to do these sorts of things.  Smells like something fishy is going on.  The other gateways quickly put these sorts of transactions through manually whenever there is a holdup.  Not Kraken.  Not this month.  Maybe they lost liquidity when the btc crash hit, and we get to hold the bag.
328  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange Now Open with USD, EUR, BTC, LTC, XRP, NMC on: December 09, 2013, 04:25:50 AM
Dargo,  Why won't you just put our xrp withdrawals through manually, like all the other gateways do? It's been days and days.  What's the problem?
329  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 1.9 released on: November 08, 2013, 05:10:43 AM
Looks like it's back to QT and time consuming blockchain downloads.

331  Economy / Speculation / BTC hits highest price ever 267.4 on: November 06, 2013, 05:04:01 AM
Like it says on the tin.  Price reached 267 in April on gox for a few hours.  Hopefully this time no massive crash. ;-D

Wow, it just keeps getting better. Hopefully Will will have some good news about on-time delivery of the hardware.
333  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does the Internet Credit Union (IAFCU) let you deposit USD from Bitstamp? on: October 22, 2013, 10:44:38 PM
campbx allows you to do ACH to and from any U.S. bank account for $2.  IAFCU is in Ohio, so you're golden.  Bitstamp last i checked only allows wire transfers for USD.
334  Economy / Trading Discussion / coinmkt bites my LTC on: October 22, 2013, 10:37:14 PM
Thought i'd try out coinmkt. They're happy to receive my LTC but apparently i can't sell them or withdraw them.  The warning i get when i try to withdraw says I'm only allowed to "deposit and sell".  Yeah, well i tried to sell LTC/BTC and it aint working, and not being allowed to withdraw is insane. Just close shop now, coinmkt. You've been open for a couple months now.  It's embarrassing.
335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DWOLLA - Important information regarding virtual currency‏ on: October 10, 2013, 08:42:24 PM
Dwolla!!!!!  Noooooooooooo.  Guess it's back to money orders in and out of campBX.  Or zipzap to snapswap to ripple to bitstamp. No other cheap ways for U.S. folks to get dollars into bitcoins. My guess is that dwolla and bitfunder and the rest of them are getting some flak from the U.S. and they're seeing the writing on the wall.  bail now before they shut you down.  must be in the air.
336  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (500 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: October 10, 2013, 04:44:30 AM
Notice also that there appears to be a "transfer" option on bitfunder.  Perhaps a u.s. citizen can transfer their shares to a non-U.S. friend or loved one who has (or opens) a bitfunder (and weExchange) account.

But otherwise, as jimbobway points out, there are more reasonable options available.  Let's get on those and keep this project going.
337  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (500 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: October 10, 2013, 04:04:44 AM
What is the problem with transferring the holding of the shares from bitfunder to one of the other markets or exchanges?  Or what about turning the shares into stakes in private hosting under digimex WITH THE SAME TERMS that we agreed to already?  These are the more reasonable options one would think.  And if there are regulatory issues for you guys too, then U.S. asset holders can show you some stinking photo ID so you can comply with the KYC regulations.  We're professionals.  Right?
338  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (500 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: October 02, 2013, 04:40:37 AM
Thank you!!!! Smiley

I too made purchases and calculations specifically with the promise of 0.0016 in mind.  I'm not particularly inspired by the "spirit of the original promise" argument.  I wasn't aware of that spirit. i was aware of a number and i thought that number was promised.  Better keep that number.  Otherwise, shareholders are left to wonder what else may be in the spirit of the contract that they're not aware of.  What else supposedly justifies a change in the letter of the contract?  Nobody knows in advance.  Not even those offering the shares, i imagine.  There is no principled way for only one party to change the terms of an agreement after the fact.  That is the whole point of a contract!  I fear trust is dissipating.
340  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coin Market Beta Launch Thread [Sept. 3rd] on: September 07, 2013, 05:58:09 PM
Yup. Lots o problems.
  • The link to customer support only works if you have the right sort of mail account, which i don't.
  • The "generate bitcoin address" function is not working, um so that's a problem.
  • It rejected my valiant attempt to verify with a picture ID.  Said my name didn't match, even though it did in fact match.
Maybe they opened a little too early.
