What a sad day.  DR was the most reliable of any gateway for decentralized trading that i have ever seen. It also had the least friction. Decentralized trade seems to have taking a step back now that corporate banks and wall street market-makers have better access to Ripple tools than individual investors and non-affiliated makers.  Thanks Nelisky for helping to show us what's possible.

Actually lots of ethercoin is still for sale at bittrex.  Bittrex is the only exchange that i know of that is pre-selling their ether. They're using  tokens, i.e., ethercoins, that they are saying will be redeemable one-one for ether. Link to proof of reserves is posted near the beginning of this thread.

Has anyone initiated a class action lawsuit against IceDrill.ASIC IPO ?  It would seem at this point that one's resources, energy and hopes would be better placed there than on the promises of those that took your money.
