1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: December 02, 2013, 05:20:05 PM
Been mining on and off at this pool for 7 months now, this thing seems to happen every now and then. Mining will still work but site will be unresponsive for the day, assuming until it's restarted.

If I remember correctly, all deposits/rewards will resume as normal + any missed during downtime once it's back up. No worries guys.
2  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Aftermarket coolers for 7950 cards on: November 24, 2013, 05:00:22 AM
Sadly enough, I am facing the same problem on 8 cards. The gigabyte 7950 won't even mine with 2/3 fans going. After about 16 months, all my fans died out.

All I can seem to find are those full cover waterblocks, and I don't really want to buy 8 of those either.

Anyone with some insight please help!
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: *SCRYPT FPGA* - CryptoIndustries.com - official Bitcointalk thread on: October 02, 2013, 01:06:10 AM
How long would you estimate it would take for manufacturing? If prices are reasonable, I'd order some... As long as they don't take too long to arrive.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The evolution of the CB logo on: September 28, 2013, 01:09:58 AM
I'm sorry but they're all terrible. Just as terrible as the splash screen for the QT.

A lens flare, bevel/emboss, and drop shadow. Seriously? Looks like a 15 mins Photoshop filter hack job on some rough edge lines.

These are the main reasons I can't take this coin seriously. Let's hope it keeps evolving into something interesting.
5  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WARNING: www.bitcointopaypal.net is one scam site ...... on: September 21, 2013, 04:11:41 AM
Unfortunately you're out of luck. I sent ONE transaction of .30 BTC about 2 months ago. Obviously Support was no help.

Lessons learned:
- Don't just send your money to any site that asks for it. Research it.
- Maybe try sending 1 transaction when you're new to a site.
- Use Virwox. Sell BTC for SLL. Sell SLL for USD. Send USD to paypal.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switch][1.5%fee] multipool.us:Always mine the most profitable coin on: August 29, 2013, 04:22:45 AM
Not sure if it's just me, but has the pools site been up and down a lot lately? The mining is still working, which is what counts, but I've been having a hard time even accessing the site.

EDIT: Okay I guess the pool is down, guitarplinker beat me to it

Oh and I don't see why everybody seems to be dumping mined coins right away, why not collect them? I'm in no hurry to sell, so just sell high when you can.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CryptoAve | A Revolution in Crypto Exchange | USD/BTC/DGC/LTC/ARG/SRC on: August 19, 2013, 02:56:16 AM
Looking good! Can't wait to try out a new exchange, especially for DGC.
9  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: August 03, 2013, 02:43:44 AM

Was that you that instantly doubled the difficulty and hashrate of DGC for a bit? i swear it went from 400Mh/s to over 1TH/s instantly. Which is unusual, it only ever goes up when pool hoping assholes come on over after diff drops. Looks like I'll be selling off mine soon then.

Oh and for the record, this idea of killing alt coins might be genius. If you're holding a shit ton of LTC, killing off even just a few other coins would force people to sell theirs and boost the value of your coins.

That was middlecoin and multipool jumping on when it was highest on coinchoose after the difficulty dropped.

That's what I said. But the increase was before a difficulty adjustment. When multipool and everything jump over, it usually only ever reaches 600-800Mh/s. I guess I'll keep an eye on it next adjustments.

Weren't you going to kill DGC something like two months ago?

Has anyone tried mining DGC in the past few minutes?

A momentary test showed it would be rather simple to knock down.

It's on the short list though.

Ok I need some help deciding, so many choices

Who get's exterminated first

Spots, Gil, DGC, Vlad2Vlad coin???

How about GLD? Anyone even still use FTC or PXC?

Need input

and Baritus, your lame ass "code change" just made it easier LOL....

~BCX~

At least Baritus is trying. He may be an idiot like the rest of us sometimes, but I'd prefer him as a dev over some of the less active ones who don't seem to care. I'd wait to see what he does with 30+ BTC/90,000 DGC in donations before anything. Could just dump them if he gets attacked now.

FTC has and always will be a pump and dump, nail them to the wall and watch them bleed their precious coins.

Glad to see the Devs are taking this all seriously, and that you're still all working on things!

Though I would really like to know how you guys intend to spend the DGC before I donate.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DGC] DigitalCoin.Co | Instant \ Stable \ Reliable | Usable for Purchases on: July 25, 2013, 07:43:29 PM
I've been supporting and mining this coin since its release. 80,000+ coins/day is just going to make them less valuable, as nobody seems to want to buy them.

It's all miners who want to dump, and nobody else seriously wanting to buy. I wouldn't want to buy them either, especially after all the hype from btc-e, and nothing exciting happening in the past while. If it doesn't make it to another exchange, or devs don't make something new for it, it'll end up just like CNC. What ever happened to that DGC bank idea?
14  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcointopaypal.net on: July 25, 2013, 07:31:57 PM
gonna try that one.. been searching for a particular site

I'd like to clarify that for Coin2Pal.info, I only exchanged 0.15 BTC to try it out. Took about 45 minutes to get the USD to paypal. I'm hoping to do some larger transactions soon. Be careful doing larger amounts. For anything over 1 BTC, I'd stick with Vircurex. There's more fees, but at least you know you're dealing with a legitimate exchange.
15  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcointopaypal.net on: July 25, 2013, 05:50:01 PM
Bumping this... People should know.

Sent 0.25 BTC, and still haven't received anything. Its been a few days now, and all of my emails have gone unanswered.

This is a definite SCAM, and you will lose your money. Research a site before you send your money, and be careful. I didn't find this thread until now, I wish I had sooner.

Confirmed ways to get BTC to paypal...
VirWox
BitInstant (when it's back up)
Coin2Pal.info (Sketchy looking site, but I have tried it myself, and it works)

I started mining DGC and the Client kept re-sync like all the other LTC type forks - Caps i notice does not do this , is there a plan to fix this in the future ?

in the end i found it was just easier to not have the wallet up - so i kind of gave up , The Caps wallet i can keep open all the time.

Client is not re-syncing and there's nothing to fix since all functions are completely normal.

It's a GUI bug that you can solve by connecting to more peers.

I completely disagree that there is "nothing to fix". Iv'e been using the MAC OSX client for about a month now, and every single day, about 5 times a day, the client wants to re-synchronize from scratch. I tried letting it go - but it freezes, so I simply close it, and reopen and it works completely fine for a few hours.

I max out at 2 connections to the network at all time. More nodes please?

How about a tradecoin-qt wallet for us Mac OSX users?

For anything to succeed, it must work on Apple  Smiley

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How stable is your hash rate? on: June 28, 2013, 07:18:27 PM
This is normal, but sometimes causes the driver to fail. This happens on 2 of my 5 rigs.

Normally upgrading your system ram will fix it. If you're running a single core CPU, you're probably out of luck.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1000 DGC Raffle - Raising money for Canadian Cancer Society on: June 27, 2013, 11:58:18 PM
Maybe a more transparent raffle. Have the prize amount be determined by a percentage of the total DGC obtained from entries. Use Random.org for the actual drawing. Their are currently lotteries that have a 1 coin per ticket entry, and a much larger jackpot. You'll have to broaden your drawing to attract the community.

I would have liked to do a percentage, but didn't think the pot would get large enough to intrest anyone. Decided to put up 1000 of my own mined DGC as the prize, because once the 1000DGC prize is covered by entries, the rest will be donated to families, and for research.

Was already planning on using random.org for the drawing, would be the easiest way. To make it more transparent, I am going to track all of the tickets for everyone to see - in the reserved post.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Scam!

A cure for cancer has already been discovered anyway, im surprised people keep throwing money down the toilet to make the big corporations even richer, they shun it to keep making money on cancer patients...

You sir, need a reality check. Is it really a "scam" to help families in need? Regardless of a cure being found yet.
