261  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Basic income debate on: December 27, 2017, 09:11:36 PM
Universal basic income is very good idea in theory.
People shouldn't be slave of the work but should be free to live as they like, to travel around the world, enjoy their hobbies, fishing, free time etc.
If I remember well, in Switzerland was referendum about it.
Practically, people would almost certainly misuse such idea.
Look for example what happened with immigrants from Africa in Europe.
They mostly live from social assistance and do not work.
I do not think it's time for such an idea yet.
People are not mature enough.

Do not give freebies to migrants. Voila - problem solved!

262  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Online Dating on: December 27, 2017, 09:09:12 PM
Actually meeting potential future dates in person has its charm.

Online dating is just different. People online are  not as committed as they would be in a real life interaction.

Not to say online is bad - it's fine as long as you don't lose the ability to interact and start communication offline.

Trump worsened the position of the Crypto-currency

New US tax legislation covers a loophole for crypto currency. To avoid a short-term capital gains tax, some investors in the US used the exchange of crypto-currencies, which they called the "exchange 1031". Exchange under the section 1031 tax legislation was often used by real estate traders.

Tax authorities reached crypto-currency

I guess those americans who do not want to pay taxes will have to move their cryptos to exchanges based in other countries.
264  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Germany getting near the end? on: December 27, 2017, 09:01:19 PM
It's still scary to hear that this situation has escalated to this, should it take more dead people for them to do something about it?
short answer is yes.

radical events are needed to force mollycoddled westerners from their comfort zones, as long as germans enjoy nice easy lives they won't rise up and drive the invaders out, hell most of them refuse even to vote for anti immigration parties because being labelled racist is the worst thing they can imagine happening to them

i've said it before and it bears repeating, it is the women (who support migrants) and cowards (who also support migrants) who ultimately take the brunt of the invaders' savagery and at this point in time they aren't worth shedding a drop of blood for, things are going to turn around soon but i think it begins in netherlands and france not germany, denazification infected the germans with an unusually severe case of pussification even by western standards, it may be that the islamic population needs to rise to 40% and literal anarchy be unleashed upon that country for the people to start fighting back

Uh-oh. Sounds like trouble. I agree that the issue looks severe and action has to be taken soon. I wonder how you guys are going to unravel this mess. Good luck.
265  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Business with and without education ? on: December 27, 2017, 09:04:37 AM
Not all successfull business man or woman have a formal education in business; for me experience is the best education at all.

I second this. Especially true for the past. Not so much nowadays, I suppose...
266  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Business with and without education ? on: December 26, 2017, 08:58:32 PM
I have observed that many business persons in my country are not educated but they are doing well. It does not mean that educated persons are not doing well.
Do you think a business of educated person is more successful  as compared to un-educated one??

How we can guess that this business is under the control of educated person or un educated person? Any idea

It's just that usually starting, running and maintaining a business requires certain qualities that do not depend on formal education.
The business environment is a predatory environment. To succeed you need to have the mind of a predator. If it's complemented by formal education - good.

If you only have education, but are not fit to deal with the hardships of running your own business - bad for you.

Checkmate Humanity

Will robots one day destroy us? It's a question that increasingly preoccupies many of our most brilliant scientists and tech entrepreneurs.

For developments in artificial intelligence (AI) — machines programmed to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence — are poised to reshape our workplace and leisure time dramatically.

This year, a leading Oxford academic, Professor Michael Wooldridge, warned MPs that AI could go 'rogue', that machines might become so complex that the engineers who create them will no longer understand them or be able to predict how they function.

Yes, it's a concern, but a 'historic' new development makes unpredictable decisions by AI machines the least of our worries. And it all started with a game of chess.

268  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you have a gun? on: December 26, 2017, 01:10:40 AM
Holding a gun without a license is illegal in my country and even if you apply for legal procedure to have a gun its gonna be very lengthy process and you need to disclose all the valid reasons for having a gun and its not at all easy to get permission from Government in my country and if you are an normal person I don't think you will ever need a gun for protection.

269  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Rape on: December 26, 2017, 01:07:08 AM
In a world where ladies appear naked thinking that they are putting on clothes. In a world where women do things that arouses the Men. In a world where parents encourage their children to wear skimpy dresses. What world are we living in?

Should rapists be sent to jail or not?

Excluding the religious nuts, most of humanity has evolved from the days of lawlessness.

Today a person's body is their own to do with as they wish, and should not be taken by force.

Look at OP's nickname, lmao.
270  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Society without money ? on: December 25, 2017, 12:09:09 AM
Remove money in its current form, humans will find a substitute. Happens to every society, it just simplifies barter.

Indeed.

Actually, when we think about removing money, we think about removing the unjust system where a small group of people hold 99% of the money, while 99% of the population is slaving away for them. A system, where money is distributed unevenly and unfairly instead of being distributed equally in order to satisfy all of the basic needs of every human being.

It's a complicated topic...
271  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Society without money ? on: December 24, 2017, 08:06:50 PM
Here in our province even if we don't have money we can live. Because we only  just need to plant fruits and vegetables in our backyard or farm and raise some animals. It can support our daily need even if we don't have money.

What happens when you need to purchase tools in order to work the land? You'll need money for that.
272  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Society without money ? on: December 24, 2017, 07:20:03 PM
Even if we did have some kind of Star Trek Utopia or Xanadu. Money/currency will still have uses such as assigning value to valuable things, and facilitating the trade of goods between parties.

The point is that there will be no trade in a moneyless society. Everyone will be entitled to any amount of resources that are necessary for them.
273  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Society without money ? on: December 24, 2017, 07:15:22 PM
I firmly believe that a society can exist without money. But this society will have to be based on very different principles than the ones we have now.

One of the main principles by which our society operates is that rich people exploit poor people. Money are simply a tool that makes this possible. Though, instead of money anything else could be used - rations, coupons, or whatever. Money is just more convenient.

TL;DR - society can exist without money, but only after we stop preying on each other
274  Other / Off-topic / Re: what will you do when you are in a bad mood? on: December 24, 2017, 03:57:00 PM
I just become grumpy and seethe for some time.

Haha, right? XD

It's more useful to prevent most things that cause you bad mood, than to deal with it afterwards. So I try to prevent bad mood from even occuring. Does not work 100% tho, and neither it should. So if I ever get a case of bad mood, I just try to relax and let it pass.

276  Other / Off-topic / Re: Iphone 8 and Iphone X has finally arrived.... on: December 23, 2017, 07:16:54 PM
The only thing about the iPhone is that it's kind of reliable and simple to use.

Then again, there are many android phones that are way cheaper and are very good quality. I personally see no reason to pay more for an iPhone when I can get myself a good Android phone for three times lower price.

For years iphones did not have many useful features that android phones had.
They're not worth their price imho.

To me it's not a subject of belief. It's a matter of knowing for sure.
I do not know, but I want to believe Smiley Roll Eyes
279  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to be a good father? on: December 20, 2017, 12:28:22 PM
Pretty simple:
1. Be a manly figure in the life of your kids
2. Don't make them feel threatened and unwelcome. Help them feel happy and protected.
3. Love them.
4. Do not be cruel to them. If you can't do that - it seems you are not fit to be a father.
5. Don't make kids if you can't afford to raise them well.
280  Other / Off-topic / Re: Secret of Happiness on: December 20, 2017, 05:34:18 AM
I believe the secret to happiness is to have bought BTC like 7-8 years ago.

Besides that, it's a complex issue. Maintaining good health is surely one part of the quest.
