What I find strange is that after a half-baked hard fork that didn't fix a main issue (botnet), the only exchange that trades ARO has its wallet on maintenance since then.
If that's a sign of an addicted and pro-active team, I can't imagine if they were sloppy.

I agree something smells fishy here.
I can't understand why deposits / withdrawls in Mercatox are still "in maintenance".
I can't understand why someone is using a botnet and mining and dumping the coin, and we got a hardfork with no changes whatsoever on CPU algo.
I just sold all my ARO (not that much) at a ridiculous price to be able to withdraw it in BTC.
Now I have some more on my LightWallet that I can't do nothing with it.

Not at all, it's a misunderstanding : reward is now 50% of what it was 1 year before (you can look at view posts before, this is the block #1, reward was 95.37 ), as we reach 50% of the total emission, next year, it'll be half of what we get today and we will reach 75% of the total emission. Reward decrease slowly, following the original emission curve (refer to https://ird.cash/specifications or whitepaper : https://ird.cash/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Iridium-Coin-Whitepaper-v3.pdf) Here is the theoretical block reward curve :  Oh, I see... yes I misunderstood it.  |
