2  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price predictions from Twitter 5 years from now on: December 18, 2018, 09:06:28 AM
I have a collection of really bad predictions and generally bad moves. This one tweet is pretty funny looking back at it now:

Well funny for us, in retrospective if you are that guy it must be brutal. He would be so rich now, it's pretty crazy to think about. This puts a lot of sense into these thinking that it's the end of the world and think they missed the boat. Just buy the big dips and hold.

With time, we (think) we're more informed, at least the ones close or in the industry. So I expect these kind of (too) early sell-offs will be less and less. Still, wouldn't want to be this guy, or any other of those who sold double or even three digits BTC.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price predictions from Twitter 5 years from now on: December 13, 2018, 11:44:12 AM
But is there any reason to think that the pattern will repeat itself again? It's just a belief, there's no fundamental reason behind this pattern, just because it happened twice it doesn't mean that it will happen again. On other markets, no one goes through the history of past cycles saying that the same price movements will happen again at a larger scale.

No reason indeed Smiley, but it's interesting to follow thoughts and opinions of people who are influential in the industry. Some might have a point, some even be right, and most of them just BS Wink.
4  Economy / Economics / Bitcoin price predictions from Twitter 5 years from now on: December 11, 2018, 02:34:01 PM
There's a lot of price predictions on Twitter, some more serious, some less, and some hillarious.

We could put together a list of predictions from people who are somehow important players in the crypto space.

Bobby Lee has a cool point (let's hope;):

If history repeats perfectly, then the current bear market for #Bitcoin would bottom out at $2,500 next month, in Jan 2019.
And then the next rally would start in late 2020, peak out in Dec 2021 at $333,000, and then crash back down to $41,000 in Jan 2023.
Something like that?🙂

The most experienced and best cryptocurrency forum is bitcoin talk forum

And that's is the forum we are presently in so I see no use again suggesting any other forum regardless if there are on other platform your suggestion might be bore out of share interest or may be just a genuine suggestion no one can ascertain but the fact is that there is hardly some thing you can't get here that you would find in another community

It did start here, true, even before a lot of crypto conversation started on Twitter. A lot of good content here, but there's a lot of direct info of news on twitter from crypto originals.

Influencers that only have their wallet interest at hand is that what you're asking about? I only follow project founders, cofounder and workers to get update when ever that's available. Most of those influencer just like the YouTube influencer are not to be trusted their information are all paid advert just like John McAfee pick of the week back in 2017.

Actual influencers, who contribute to community, educate crypto enthusiasts, legit folks Smiley

What are best twitter lists with top people in crypto community? Technical, business, educators, influencers...?

Hive.one for example has interesting algorythm that maps influencers: https://hive.one/, https://twitter.com/hivedotone/lists/crypto-influencers1.

Any other Twitter users and their lists you're following?

Thanks!
9  Economy / Economics / Re: About real state of cryptos on: March 28, 2018, 07:24:56 AM
Hi all. What do you think about this idea - is it possible to actually use crypto for daily payments?
read on medium

give your opinion
With current ecosystem hardly. Think long term and layers on top of bitcoin, ethereum or even new coins on blockchain might become accepted for daily transactions.

Not sure what standards Binance have but does InsurePal meet criteria to be listed on Binance at this stage?
The team is always talking with various exchanges, but all business agreements take time. We cannot of course share any details on any kind of deals until they are finished and signed. Thank you and best to follow our announcements and Telegram group.

Amazing progress!  I am happy that i bought cheap IPL

From Insurepal telegram:

Team is busy as usual. Few quick progress points. Agreed to hire 4 new people starting in the next month. In Slovenia and in the UK. Very busy with getting the product. Getting some progress with a large exchange. Last week was fantastic as we had a major (non UK) European insurer in house to have a teach in and see where / how they can implement insurepal. That meeting had quite tangible metrics discussed such as pricing, product areas , implementation etc. Today we had a few great meetings in London with top notch US based product people , followed by Matt’s presentation at instech.london - the event was very well attended by investors , new startups and insurance companies. So one thing is clear - insurepal keeps making noise in the right circles. We have already agreed on the next event where we would present in a blockchain focused insuretech gathering happing a stone throw away from the iconic Lloyd’s building. Rest of the week is more meetings, hiring discussions , exchange discussions and other stuff that I am not going to bore you with

Thanks for posting a quote from Max Streltses, our CFO. He also posts regular info, on event, meetings, so it's great to follow the Telegram group https://t.me/InsurePal.

Tomorrow our CEO Matt Peterman is speaking at InsurTech event in London http://bit.ly/InsTech_19march.

Text from the event website:

Getting InsurTech Funding In 2018

Early stage investment for insurance innovation remains scarce, which is why founders who have raised money recently have started to look at a broader range of funding options. At this next InsTech London event, we’ll hear from startups who have successfully raised using crowd funding, ICO’s and the Lord Mayor’s tech fund about their experience. We’ll also hear from the organisations they turned to about how they can help others. Finally, we’ll get an update from some of the specialist InsurTech venture funds about recent developments in their world.

Sponsored by QBE who will be co-hosting, speakers include:
·         Wrisk - Niall Barton (Founder)
·         Seedrs  - Jeff Lynn (Chairman)
·         InsurePal  - Matt Peterman  (Founder)
·         Eos Ventures - Sam Evans (Founder)
·         Tapoly - Janthana Kaenprakhamroy (Founder)
·         London Co-Investment Fund - Puneet Raj Bhatia (Fund Manager)

InsurePal came out with different approach to tackle this market by providing fair and transparent solution using blockchain technology for Business 2 customers and business to business. It is real innovation and in the long run in 2 years from here will be in leading position of this services area.
Yes. That's cool. But now there are hard times for investors and token holders. Therefore, our profit will depend on the activity of the team.

There are a lot of activities and event presence, so best to follow our social media and community channels, especially Telegram group https://t.me/InsurePal, where our founder and CEO Matt Peterman posted this yesterday:

"currently whole team is fully engaged with potential clients and we are maybe less present on social media but more with our clients. Stay tuned!"

What doing with this world.. so many news and price keep going down. When the platform launch?
As you can see in the news, the whole crypto economy is experiencing downtrend. So it's best to be patient, and as for platform launch, we are working on a car insurance pilot project that will launch later this year. Exact information will be available through our announcements, please follow our community channels, Telegram and social media.

Hi, we're working on cooperation and our CFO Max posted a few updates recently on that account:

“Last week we have commenced discussions with first real customer in Russia for piloting our social proof for automotive insurance purposes. This follows additional 11 companies both from mainstream insurance space and from new tech. This covers mainland Europe and Asia. As promised , we are deep into the operational activity in the UK and recently established a dialog with a few insurance companies in the UK. An office has been established in the UK and the product is being fine tuned.

Please understand that despite how much we would like to involve you in our detailed actions and despite how much keen we are to brag regarding our achievements - our business is very sensitive and we can not disclose any details of cooperation until these hit the mass market.

insurepal management and founders are constantly travelling between 4-5 destinations to make sure that our product gets real life adoption as soon as possible.
