1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ripple Is Hated By Crypto Community? on: June 21, 2019, 03:39:06 AM
There are a few main reasons that made Ripple is one of the most favorite and hating coins in Crypto:
  • Ripple is a centralized crypto currency
  • Ripple has so many pumps and dumps in its history, so far. Consequently, there are so many investors whom still stucked at extremely high prices at which they bought Ripple (due to FOMO). Some of them already took losses, some of them still hold their Ripple wiht hope to see it will come back to its all time high range
  • Some of them have their balance liquidated when using margin tradings with Ripple (due to pumps and dumps)
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins for Staking ✅ ✅ ✅ on: June 21, 2019, 01:43:44 AM
Relating to staking, and stakers, to earn profits from their investments in Proof-of-Stake coins (mostly have masternodes), stakers should remember that they have to pay their attention on inflation rate, and schedule of inflational changes over different phases of block number. They have to observe those schedules very carefully to make their periodically cashing out and waiting dumps of cheap coins to buy their interest coins back. Such PoS coins usually are dumped and pumped at important block numbers at which inflation rates change.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitShares 2.0 on: June 20, 2019, 12:56:59 PM
@motienvolam aren't you worried about Bitshares competitors (as EOS and its dex), another Dex'es (like Binance DEX - I know it is not fully decentralized, but.. have much bigger marketing  and better known brand) ?
PS. I wouldn't ignore chinese evaluation, but the things became more complicated cause of political tension between USA and China...
Nope, I don't worry about competitors, current and potential ones. Bitshares has its own advantages, and it has been a backbone of Bitshares-based decentralized exchanges. I knew that there are other recently platforms, on which decentralized exchanges can operate, but I have a strong belief on Bitshares platform. However, there is at least one disadvantage, that is lack of updated information, and lack of communication between Bitshares team and their community in the ANN topic.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell All Altcoins For Bitcoin? on: June 20, 2019, 05:24:27 AM
Altcouns has it's own season, the time is coming when goo altcoins will move along with coin, if you want to sell your altcoins for btc you should have done that when bitcoin was still low let's say when it was 3k, this is not the right time to sell alt for btc.
The season of altcoins will come to us soon, because the season of bitcoin has come nearly to its end. It is so ridiculous to ask "Sell All Altcoins for Bitcoin", like the written OP. In contrast, now it is time to aks an opposite question: Is it time to sell all bitcoin for altcoins (good altcoins)? I think the latter question make more sense in current phase of crypto market. How long has bitcoin started its bull run? More than 6 months, that is long enough to hit its turning point, from which bitcoin domination will fall and altcoins will see their own season.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Liquidity Strategies for DEXes on: June 20, 2019, 04:10:31 AM
Fee is another big problem aside liquidity. Has the Stakenet able to solve this?
Yes, there are issues with fees on DEXes, which require fees for both order cancels, and withdrawals. To have cheaper fees on DEXes, you should buy coins of exchanges, because with the same orders or withdrawals, fees will become much cheaper if you pay them via exchanges' coins, rather than pay fees via bitcoin, or other altcoins. Personally, I always own a small amount of DEXes coins in order to minimize fees. I think that we don't have to own too much exchanges' coins, just enough to pay fees, and when prices dumped, buy a little coins to store for later use.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your thoughts on Facebook's GlobalCoin on: June 20, 2019, 03:28:25 AM
In my opinion, Facebook coin, Libra (official name), might become another big scam coin, like Bitcoin Cash. It might be a big scam coin, in aspect of anonymous for their users. Facebook, years after its birthday, has never been a private platform, and their users' identities leaked from time to time. With Libra's whitepaper, and based on core developmental strategies of Facebook itself, I don't think Libra coin will bring any sort of privacy and anonymity for their users. Even when Libra used to pay for likes or other kinds of things on Facebook platform, users will have to do bunches of KYCs in order to withdraw their money (I believe).
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Liquidity Strategies for DEXes on: June 19, 2019, 01:49:18 PM
Besides security and customer support to get private keys back for users, DEXes should have passive income for their customers, whom own exchanges' coins and use them to support DEXes. This approach, like some of DEXes applied, will help to increase total liquidity significantly. However, such thing on liquidity can not be reached in short time, because users have to be convinced that DEXes they use are reliable enough to store their coins directly on DEXes platforms, in order to get passive income. It is always risky to store coins on exchanges, and higher risks if they are DEXes.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold ETH or Exchange with LTC on: June 19, 2019, 01:05:00 PM
My suggestion is: Holding Ethereum and wait for good price to take profits. After that, swapping your bitcoin to Litecoin, and using Litecoin to move your funds around. That way, moving funds via Litecoin, will help you to avoid delayed transactions on bitcoin network, and high fees when bitcoin network has too many unconfirmed transactions. Litecoin gives you lower transaction fees, and less network congestion issue. I have a big love for Litecoin due to its advantages to move funds: cheap, fast, and nearly zero congestion.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why DEX (Decentralized Exchange) still unpopular? on: June 18, 2019, 11:49:23 AM
I don't think Binance is launching a real decentralized exchange.
I agreed with you, it is just a way CZ boosted Binance coin and the popularity of Binance in crypto world. If community ask for DEX, Binance can provide it, that is the main purpose of CZ. He want to demonstrate that Binance is very adaptable to hot trends, and demands of crypto community. Indirectly, he also want to spread the strong dedication (with continuous initiatives) to help Binance maintains its first position among crypto exchange. In my opinion, if Vitalik is a pure technical experts, Charlie Lee is a two-faced man, CZ is a very smart, flexible and adaptable CEO.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounties is not a reliable source of income on: June 18, 2019, 09:02:02 AM
Bounty, in terms of language meanings, is a kind of bonus. Therefore, it is obviously that bounties themselves are not main source of income. It is fine if you consider bounties as additional income only. Then, you can use such additional income from bounties for entertainment, travel, or other kinds of things to increase your quality of life. Considering bounties as main income is risky and might put you under pressures if the forum shut down by admin, or admin decide to disable all kind of bounties posted and run in the forum, for example
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some IEOs could also turn out to be scam on: June 18, 2019, 07:40:04 AM
Of course. It is a choice of anyone here whether to invest in new projects like IEO or to invest in some reputable one like binance or in other established projects. IEO is still a way to fund raise money and we can't control scammers to find a way to enter IEO. Though it is hard to choose where projects to be invested but taking a risk will always give you a 50-50% chance of being successful or not.
Avoiding promised high profitable IEOs, and choose IEOs from established, reputable exchanges, will help investors avoid as many scam IEOs as possible. However, the fact is not all people can follow the rule and do this determinantly. Sometimes, they turn into greedy investors, and lose money. Most of time, greediness will lead to incorrect decisions, that in turn cause losses for their investors with their wrong investments. If they don't want to take risks and are not able to acceptable losses from IEOs, they should avoid IEOs at all. There are already so many opportunities on crypto market, with old coins/ tokens. I don't think IEOs is the only option to get returns from investments, and of course not the best one.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does BTC (SV) represent Satoshi's Vision? on: June 17, 2019, 11:12:40 AM
It is surely that Bitcoin SV is not a representative of Satoshi's vision as well as not a real Bitcoin. There are a flag on Bitcoin SV and a scam accusation thread: Scam Bitcoin SV: Fake team members and plagiarised white paper . Not only Bitcoin SV, but also whatever coins forked from Bitcoin and claim as real Bitcoin are scam coins. It is a key thing to remember: there is only one, unique Bitcoin, with the sticker as BTC.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Right Now: Will Do A Bull Run Too? on: June 16, 2019, 12:10:57 PM
We have been in the last period to see Ethereum and altcoins stay at their bottom in BTC pairs. If you hesitate too much and don't step in altcoins, includes Ethereum in coming days or weeks, you will deeply regret for you hesitation. Such perfect opportunity to grap very cheap altcoins before the bull run (after year-long bear market) does not happen too often. It is just happen some years per time, so it is time for investors whom still hesitated to sit down and seriously think of investment.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: June 16, 2019, 06:32:08 AM
Who’s looking forward to Litecoin halving? Im curious how its gonna affect LTC price :O

https://coincodex.tv/videos/1589/will-litecoin-explode-before-its-halving
Halving mostly forces price moving up. However, the price of Litecoin have increased dramatically since its bottom back in late of 2018 (in both trading pairs, LTC/ BTC and LTC/ USD). Consequently, I think that it is time for Litecoin to witness its corrections, especially when all altcoins have fallen down due to bitcoin bull run. This fact is hard to accept for someone whom bought Litecoin at high, especially in LTC/ BTC pair. However, the positive thing is altcoin season will start some day, and Litecoin will have chance to rally with upcoming altcoin season.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin. Secure, private, untraceable since 2012 on: June 14, 2019, 04:44:55 PM
Thanks for releases of Bytecoin Amethyst v3.4.3, v3.4.4 and v3.4.5., but I would like to know about the relationship between Bytecoin and BCNex. Are there relationship and coorporation between Bytecoin and BCNex - that built on Bytecoin platform? Based on what I read, I have not found such relationship / coorporation, but it is better if the Bytecoin team can officially confirm about this to avoid miscommunication, and missunderstanding about Bytecoin and BCNex. Bytecoin stays above 10 satoshis, and have very strong supports (buy walls) from 10 satoshis to 11 satoshis, currently. However, if such buy walls broken, Bytecoin might fastly dive to around 5 satoshis.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Liquidity Strategies for DEXes on: June 14, 2019, 02:59:04 PM
That is exactly what weidex has. AS far as I know they do have their own coin WDX which is same tokon for its transaction fee on the exchange. But I'm not sure if it will really attract traders to stick in the weidex exchange. Increasing liquidity is always an obstruction to the progress of every DEX. Bitshares is one of the oldest DEX I've used but its not as friendly as it looks and up to these days its volume still is less than a Million USD.
Loads of decentralized exchanges built on Bitshares platform, but most of them have nearly same core issues. They are not issues of only Bitshares-based decentralized exchanges, but also are common issues of DEXes. I can not imagine how DEXes will change their approaches to provide support for their users when private key backups lost. I guess it is possible, because if there are support teams, whom are responsible to solve issues with sticker orders; they should be able to solve tickets on private key lost. It is likely related to technical limitations of DEXes, at the moment.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Liquidity Strategies for DEXes on: June 14, 2019, 01:23:13 PM
The part I is interesting, and I am waiting for the part II. However, to increase liquidity, I think that key thing should be considered is how to attract crypto enthusiasts to DEXes. By now, they tend to prefer centralized exchanges, rather than DEXes. They have some reasons to think that centralized exchanges can give them better experience, better security, and better supports. Furthermore, fees on DEXes usually high if traders don't own coins of DEXes. such as for dex run on Bitshares network, fees of withdrawals will be cheaper if traders own Bitshares and pay their fees via Bitshares. I meant, building up DEXes more attractive, cheaper fees will help them increase liquidity indirectly for the long run.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some IEOs could also turn out to be scam on: June 14, 2019, 12:39:42 PM
even the IEO can also be a scam. when the team from the project only makes money, they can take advantage of sales that occur in the IEO. well, it's just that I think we can reduce the risk by choosing the IEO based on the market.
I don't really understand what you implied by mentioning about market, but IMO whichever IEOs investors can join and buy easily are risky IEOs. Good, high quality and potential profitable IEOs come from big and reputable exchanges are really really hard to join. If you are small investors, and don't have rights to buy pre-IEOs, you will hardly to buy, even just small amount. In contrast, IEOs from newborn, shitty exchanges are much easier to buy, but extremely risky because they might end with dramatic losses in values. Briefly, the level of easiness when you join IEOs somehow tell you the fact that exchanges behind such IEOs are good or bad.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Using MEW Offline (Cold Storage) on: June 14, 2019, 09:25:59 AM
Honestly, the whole guide takes from original guide of MEW, there: Using MEW Offline (Cold Storage). I deeply thank you to share it to the community, because there are someone whom don't know about this feature, that is helpful. However, I think that it should be better if you add more information into OP, based on original guide of MEW, such as your own experience with it. Everyone will find (or not find, it depends) out some different tips for the same thing. So, if you have something more, you should include in the OP.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some IEOs could also turn out to be scam on: June 14, 2019, 08:20:39 AM
That is the difference if the IEO is done in large and small markets. So if you are confused about investing in the IEO. Of course look for IEO in the big market. Of course with that you will get confidence that the project is good and develops in the future.
What are differences between large and small markets? And how such small and large markets affect on success of IEOs? I thought IEOs depend on exchanges that run IEOs themselves. How they develop their platforms? How they support their customers? How much their daily liquidity are? How they survive over time in such very competitive crypto exchange industry? Lastly, whether will they end as scam-exit exchanges or not? Therefore, in general, IEOs are risky, and investors should always invest in IEOs of big exchanges, but unfortunately the fact is it is hard for them to invest in big exchanges' IEOs.
