161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FAKE ICOs Bounties. What to do? on: February 11, 2018, 08:18:17 AM
I am a newbie just trying to grow on this platform. Within a week of participating in altcoin bounties, 2 bounties I participated in have been reported as Scammers. I get a lot of reads on my articles and Social media pages. I cannot keep encouraging people to invest in these altcoins if they would eventually get scammed. How can new bounty hunters like myself differentiate between a genuine bounty and scammers bounty?

Well, I can say that is the part of the journey as a bounty hunter. You can do nothing after got scammed. Just relax and learn from your mistakes. Doing research about a project is so tricky. But I believe you will find your own way to get a good project for your work.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Scam Alert Youtube Channel on: February 10, 2018, 01:22:54 AM
Good idea, I love your work. Nowadays, many people lazy to read and prefer to watch the video to gain more information. Especially in crypto world. Many ICO coming every day. And no one knows which ICO is a scam or legit. One question, what method do you use to define Scam ICO?
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Telegram the new measure of ICO success? on: February 09, 2018, 03:04:30 PM
Been seeing projects' Telegram groups blow up and I think that's an attribute of success. Personally, when I find a project, I do judge them by their social media presence. How active a telegram channel does say a lot with their demand.

With the rise of groups exceeding Telegram's 50k member cap...what do you guys think?

Article: https://news.bitcoin.com/telegram-followers-the-new-metric-for-cryptocurrency-success/

I do the same. A few years ago, many ICOs used slack or discord as their social media. But now, I can say Telegram member become the new standard to judge some ICO.
That's the fact. I joined some ICO with low telegram member group, and finally that ico returns to failed.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - Telegram Open Network ✔ on: February 09, 2018, 02:56:40 PM
Sorry to say, I am a little bit skeptical about this information. I can't find your TechCrunch link. It's missing or maybe you forgot to attach it.
Telegram is nonprofit organization. How come they will arrange an ICO? It will break their principal.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Arcblock will be No.3 on Coinmarketcap? on: February 08, 2018, 08:36:38 AM
Do you think Arcblock with blockchain 3.0 will be no.3 on coinmarketcap in the future?

Its too good to be true man! even Cardano which they claimed as a BLOCKCHAIN 3.0 only stuck at 5th position on coinmarketcap. If Arckblock team very good to bring this project to past the challenges this year, i bet Arckblock could reach top 100 position.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So how will be the market in February? on: February 06, 2018, 04:39:54 PM
Everyone knows the current market situation. BTC and Eth has fallen badly and all alt coins are bleeding. Do you think its time to buy more? Will BTC fall further to $5000 as predicted by many experts? and when do you see market stabilizing again?

I'm not sure how its going to be. Just wait  until Chinese Lunar Year. Hope, it will recover soon. That is the market works.
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are "Stakes" in Bounty Campaigns? on: February 06, 2018, 04:36:22 PM
Can you please guide me what is the term "stake"?

Bounty campaigns are using this word/term and reward the bounty participants with stakes.

I would really appreciate if anybody here could guide me. Why don't they reward the participants in crypto currency or their own token? Why use this term and not simple points?

Thanks

You have same thought with me. I've been active on this forum since three month a go, and still unclear about what "STAKE" in bounty campaign is. But i just googled it, and found the answer. You can check the details explanation about your question on this topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2073641.0
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Low prices, are you excited about the situation? on: February 06, 2018, 04:29:44 PM
Prices are low and it is presenting a good opportunity ... are you excited about the situation? how do you exploit the retracement to your advantage?
Some investors are worried, but many of us are doing great business and will continue to do so in the coming days.
Which of the purchases of these days made you happier? did you do it on new products (new to you) or did you recover something that you missed in the past?
What are you keeping an eye on and hope to take during the next days?

This is my big dilemma. Too much thinking and keep waiting for the lower price. At the same moment, i feel like hopeless man, because all my asset dropped almost 70%. That condition make me hard to choose, should i keep it (hodl)? or just sell it and buy more at lower priece?

I have a coin/token list to buy, but my asset still stuck because of this crashed.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] HAVVEN — Decentralised and asset-backed STABLECOIN on: February 05, 2018, 03:22:32 AM
We have a negative trust 2 member putting out a project "HAVVEN" who will require us to surrender our personal information via KYC to receive an .

SCAM SCAM SCAM

No crypto currency that is legit would ask you for your passports and ID.  It goes against the very nature of what crypto is about.  This projects should be avoided on principle.

If you guys keep supporting projects that partake in KYC your killing crypto and handing it over to the bankers and thieves.

Yeah I just saw this on their site.  What a shame.  When the large corporations are hacked you know these small projects cannot truly keep our data 100% safe.  Any project that is willing to risk our personal information is either a scam looking for our personal documents or not concerned about data security from the customers perspective.

I didn't need KYC to buy bitcoin.  I think I will stick with the big boy coins and leave you boys to send in your passports.  Take the FOMO away and think about the risk your taking guys.

Buy Crypto asset with KYC is for Noobs. I agree, we must make a stand, KYC will killing Crypto slowly. Don't trust anyone, just trust yourself. You all selling our privacy with a "CHEAP TOKENS". What a shame!
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HAVVEN is a KYC scam to gain your personal data on: February 05, 2018, 03:14:00 AM
Just a FYI I would be very careful sending in your passports to the HAVVEN airdrop.

You have been warned.

(This goes for all projects - Never give them your personal papers)

Interesting, but do you have any proof about your statement? I am joined their airdrop last day. I know they need KYC like Polymath airdrop did. Havven got a lot of telegram users within 3 hours because of thier airdrop event.

But if your statement is true, so this is embarrassing.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC's message to ICO's on: February 05, 2018, 03:08:00 AM
We all know regulation is coming. Thought this was good article to see where the sec stands with ICO's.

Article: https://blog.polymath.network/sec-head-offers-simple-and-stern-message-for-icos-83b8e44507a7

What do you guys think?

This is move is to protects people like us from scammed ICO's. But I thing I worry is that when this regulation takes effect this will have effects on the original objective of crypto where it is free from regulation. Government will soon control the altcoins then soon dollar money will reign again. Very clever move by US government.

So, you think government will take control the Cryptocurrencies? Its interesting. I cant' wait how the government will do that thing. As far as i know, its hard to control cryptocurrencies, because of its anonymity.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔴 [PRE-ICO] CloudCryptos CCY - Unique staking concept 🔴 on: February 03, 2018, 03:34:47 PM
is there have bounty or airdrops

All remaining coins will be airdropped after ICO 2.

Do you have road map for your product?

We have a short releasement roadmap on our homepage, however our web developer have received instructions to develop a detailed project roadmap aswell, once it's done and released the update will be added to our News page, our reddit and this thread, sadly i can't give an ETA of when our site will be updated but i do know that it is one of our main priotity's - keep in mind we are in PRE-ICO.

Hi dev, Any telegram group to follow? I want to join you airdrop event.
Can you tell me when the exact date? Looks like this is promising project.

173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Easiest way to convert BTC to LTC? on: February 03, 2018, 03:29:29 PM
Hi!

I just opened a Litecoin Core wallet.
What is the easiest way to convert some of my BTC to LTC ?

Is the Litecoin Core wallet recommendable to store, receive and sent LTC? Looks a bit like Electrum.

Do you mean Atomic Swap? I just heard about converting BTC to LTC using ATOMIC SWAP https://cryptovest.com/news/lightning-network-first-atomic-swap-between-bitcoin-and-litecoin/

Or maybe you just go to exchanges which have BTC/LTC pair like bittrex https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-LTC
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: help me please?? on: February 03, 2018, 03:22:16 PM
I made my biggest investment right now at SETHER do you think that there are others that you can suggest that I actually have big expectations but big question marks

Do your own research is the best and safest option, but if you want my suggestion. Try a look ARBIDEX platform, their product is cool and very genuine. I think this is my first time to see arbitrage platform for traders.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to participate in ICO's? on: February 03, 2018, 03:11:38 PM
This is my tip. Try to invest some ICO which is having working products, like ARBIDEX, ATFS or COPYTRACK. There are some chance their ICO wil not fail. And  i can it's safe, as long as you follow the procedure.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The worst altcoin you know? on: February 02, 2018, 05:36:23 PM
I could say DIMONCOIN (FUDD), I'm very-very disappointed. The dev runnaway and DUMP their tokens. Another one, is LTG (LitecoinGold). Sold his own token at high price.  Then the dev gone, abandoned the ship and delete the telegram grup.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't panic! on: February 02, 2018, 05:26:39 PM
For anyone who is panicking at the market-wide price drops, please don't! There is no reason to panic. Look long-term, don't look at price charts over the last week or month, look at them over the last year and see the pattern of rises followed by pullbacks... but the course is always upwards.

If you're new and bought in during December and now see huge losses... the worst thing you can do is sell now. Prices will increase in the long term. The current dip is just a correction to the wild excesses of last month. Don't panic!
If the prices you can see now are lower than the prices that you bought in at, then the best thing you can do is buy more. Why? This will lower your average entry price.
If you bought bitcoin at $16000 and see it now at $8000, the course of action is clear: buy the same amount at $8000, and your average entry point is no longer $16000, it's (16000+8000)/2=$12000.

Don't sell, buy!

Glad to see this post. I like your spirit. This post can help and motivate newbies like me. I'm start panicking a little bit. But i believe, price market will recover soon. Just hold tight and buy more. This is good opportunity, to buy my favorite coins.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dimoncoin fraud / SCAM on: January 28, 2018, 02:15:39 PM
Recently there has been a spat of scam crypto's that have emerged. Dimoncoin seems to be one of these as the developer was caught minting billions of coins when he had declared on coinmarketcap that there was a total of 100 million coins to be minted. I have searched the internet and there is not one good response from Dimoncoin developers to explain what has gone wrong, therefore we are left to assume this is one big fraud. Dimoncoin has been removed from coinmarketcap as a result.  It will interesting to see if we hear any acceptable proposals from Dimoncoin developers to rectify this situation

I can say, i'm very disappointed with this project. I joined that token since day one. Dev held many airdrop, and i never sell it. Then i joined the bounty, and dev always paid on time. That seems legit to me. But now, i'm shocks that dev run away and abandoned the project. This is my first time that i got scammed by professional.
179  Other / Archival / Re: Why to Invest in ICO? on: January 28, 2018, 02:05:34 PM
Why people invest in ICO when it is risky and these days most of the coins are dropping. Do you think ICOs are going to survive for a long time?

The main purpose of investing is to expect something in return later on. People invested on ICO's because no doubt that it will really give an interesting return in the future. Any investments is risky that's why if you not understand how ICO projects goes well then better not to invest.

But the facts, nowadays many investors only want some quick profits.
That things was the main cause of ICO price always lower after sale ended.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it normal to build a crypto currency without ICO on: January 28, 2018, 01:59:26 PM
Me and my team building a new Altcoin. The first Egyptian altcoin. So we didn't want to start it with an ICO. Is it normal to start a coin without an ico and if yes what is the effect of that

No problem, i joined many successful coin and tokens project which not initiate an ICO. They did some airdrop events. Such as Rebellious, BLUE, ELTCOIN, and EQUAL
