The first and perhaps most important question: Why should I give away 400k to someone else? It's easy, I can not raise that kind of funds without getting a loan. And I refuse to put myself in debt to mine crypto. That has been my principle since i started. It would be easier to have someone rent the hashing power instead. And keep me out of debt. It is simple as that.

And i am not worried that im beeing scamed either. First of all, i contated them through an official chanel. This is not a company that you never heard of, its a big one, you know who they are if you hear the name. Its known to ever single miner. No doubt.

The reason im not so open about who they are is that they made me signed an NDA for this. I will hovever have access to a test unit soon.

The only thing i can say it is that its not gpus, its ASIC.

The power cost, yes, that is tricky. The mine that i have now is quite small (compared to this). And we live in a place where we have limited access to power. If this goes through we need to up our fuses - by alot. Or we have to move the operation to another region with more access to power. This is why i dont now the exact price. Also, the prices are out of contol in general. One month ago we paid, $11 cent per kilowatt hour. This month it was $8.9 cent. This is just the price for power, no transfer fees, vat or fixed fees are included. This price is more than twice the normal level for power in our region.

As you can see, its not easy to give a fixed price when the power live its own life . So i included this just to give you an idea. The power draw is expected to be between 160 000-180 000w. I will know more when i have a test unit in my posession.

The rental issue, why do you think it would be impossible to rent out a protion of the hasing power to someone else? You said: "And you want to rent out some of the hash manually…..yeah that shows clearly how over your head you are in this." Do you mind explaining how that would be impossible?

I will not do any business over the internet. When the time comes i will invite interested people to visit me and we can discuss in detail with an accual mining unit at hand.

I do think its great to be skeptical, i did not expect anything else. Hopefully i can find pepole that are interesting and setup a meeting with when the time comes.

Hey Guys I have an opportunity to acquire mining equipment for ETH/ERGO/RVN/VTC/ETC the investment is around $2 500 000. The hashrate is around 122 400 mega hash per second (ETH). Now, to reduce my risk im thinking about to rent out half of this for one year.

Do you think this would this be interesting to rent for someone that for example rents hashrate on Nicehash or have their own mining operation?

Numbers:
Hashrate for rent: 61 200 Mh/s (+/- 3%)
Electric: $12 000/month (depending on energy prices of course)
Income/month: $146 000
Rent time 12 months
Price: $1 200 000
Profit, around $408 000

I do not have automated system for this so im thinking that i will just point the hashrate to the pool specified by the buyer and he will be in ownership of all coins genereated.

What you guys, think. Is this a good enough setup for someone to rent?

This has been bugging me for some time now. I have tried three scenarios.

1: Use NH OS, no problems.
2: Use Win10 with NH miner, no problems
3: Use Win10 and Phoenix miner and point it to NH, it detects one more gpu than what is installed on the system.

I would like to use the miner stand alone while i tweek but ever time i start it up i get two gpus detected. The GPU is an PowerColor 5700xt.

I have disabled the onboard display in bios.

Hello

I have problems with ethminer just stop to mine. It is always just after putting out "Generating DAG + Light (reusing buffers): x.xx GB. The it stops. No error message or anything. Does anyone know why this might happen?

I have two riggs and it exactly the same for both. I did not find a way to include an image so i cant show you the printout before the exit. However i have 6 1080ti in one rig and 6 1080ti in the other. They are all of the same brand.

I have increased the virtual memory for both rigs. But it seems what ever i do the result is the same. It is not windows that crashes, it is the miner it self that shuts down.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Jag har suttit och tittat runt på vad jag skall köra för PSU för mina riggar. De har 12st 1080TI på varje och idag kör jag corsair 1000w x 1 + corsair 750w x 3. Detta täcker in behovet bra men problemet är att det är dyrt och fyra PSU gör sig inte bra när man skall köpa ett frame för riggen. Jag har kollat på flera från Kina men de har bara plats för två PSUs. I så fall skulle jag behöva två stycken 1600w eller 1800w. Svindyrt med andra ord.

Jag har hittat flera intressanta PSUs från Kina men det är otroligt svårt att se vad för rating de har. Skall man köra vanliga PSUs från tex Corsair eller EVGA så blir det inte lönsamt med rating över 80+ Gold. Men när man köper från Kina så blir prisläget ett annat. Problemet är ju hur man skall veta om agget verkligen är rateat så som står i annonseringen, tex aliexpress eller alibaba.

Hur gör ni andra som behöver mycket kräm? Vad kör ni för nätagg? Nån som kör Kinesiskt?

Kan någon tipsa om en bra frame för en rigg? Gärna med fläktar så att luften roterar rejält.

I have the same problem. It seems its the AMD card that has problems. OS freeze, flickering screen. And Claymore crashes when try to use both cards at the same time.

Nvidia card seems to run fine tho.

Any ideas?

Jag har 24 1080ti kort och de ger ungefär 16440 h/sec, det skall bli ungefär 4. Men de ligger runt tre.

Jag har två riggar som kör och enligt what to mine så skall dessa dra in ca 4.9 zen/dag. Men i realiteten så drar de in 3 per dag. Hur kan det vara så stor skillnad? Är det någon av er som ligger i närheten av WTM anger?

Okay, jag måste bara få skriva av mig lite. De sista veckorna har vart en mardröm som aldrig tar slut. Jag har två riggar. Båda kör linux, rig nummer ett var inte kul att få igång. Den tog säkert 6-7 timmar av tweekande innan ubuntu hittade gpus (1080ti).

Jag tänkte att nu, när jag gjort en rigg och den funkar fint så borde det väl bara att göra samma process en gång till och så ska det vara igång. Men inte då, efter 6 dagar fick jag igång den. Nu vågar jag inte så mkt som peta på den av rädsla att den skall lägga av.

Nåja, skam den som ger sig. Jag köper en ny maskin men bara med ett kort denna gång. Tänkte jag skulle ha för att lära mig linux och programmera för det. Efter så mycket trassel med nvidia så köpte jag ett AMD 580 8gb för att testa med. Men den här maskinen får jag inte ens igång alls. Hur jag än försöker vägrar den hitta grafikkortet.

I all förvirring laddar jag ner "ubuntu server" och då hittar den kortet. Men den står som "unclaimed" och hur jag än försöker så får jag den inte att hoppa igång. Så nu, nu skiter jag i detta och kör winblows istället. Man kan säga mycket om Micro$oft. Men de gör åtminstonde os som fungerar utan att man är färdig att ta sitt liv i processen.

Ah, tack för tipset. Jag provade att köra EWBFs Cuda miner men fick inte kontakt. Kan det bara vart jag som gjort fel? Det vore ju nice att kunna köra andra miners istället för deras egna.

jag har provat köra lite på Nice Hash och upptäckt att jag inte har i närheten av samma hastighet där som på tex Suprnova. Jag kör en rigg med 12x1080ti och ska snart sätta igång en till likadan. Och vore ju nice om jag fick ut max u riggarna. Men det verkar inte så lätt. När jag kollar på GPUna så verkar de bara gå på 75% hastighet. Hur kan det komma sig?

Om jag kör ZEN på suprnova så ligger jag på ca 8500 h/s  , när jag kör nice hash så ligger det på 5000-5500 sol/s.

Jag kör equihash, och ubuntu.

Att bedriva mining i Sverige som ftg är det nog inte någon större poäng med. För det fösta så klassas värdepappershandel som privat verksamhet. Du får alltså inte dra moms på utrustning som du använder. Vilket skulle vara den huvudsakliga orsaken till att skaffa bolag att driva det igenom.

Men i och med att det klassas som "inkomst av kapital" och inte "inkomst av tjänst" så är det inte några arbetsgivaravgifter eller höga skatter på vinsten. Den är "flat rate" 20%. Och det är ju nice.

Om du skulle hitta ett sätt att kunna dra momsen, tex att du öppnar ett bolag som bedriver datacenterverksamhet. Så får du nöjet att betala 31.xx% i arbetsgivaravgifter på allt du tar ut i lön. Bara för att spara 25% i moms. Så kör det privat istället.

Detta är bara mina åsikter, jag driver 3 bolag idag och har kollat upp det lite. Kanske har nån annan en helt annan åsikt

Har några ZenCash jag vill bli av med. Någon som kan vara intresserad? Det är ju tyvärr problem med Bittrex och därför vill jag inte ta några risker med dem. Så jag tänkte om någon här kunde vara intresserad.

I have a mining rig with 4 1080 TIs, Asrock H110, Celerion and 8Gb ram.

And i have gotten a really weird problem. I started this with a EVGA 1000 GQ PSU, runs very well. I wanted to add more GPUs to i bought a Add2PSU knock off (i assume) and another PSU, EVGA 1000 G2. After carefully connection everything and starting trying to boot up my main PSU goes "click" and just shuts off. I cant get it to boot. I disconnect the Add2PSU and tries again, it boots fine.

It looks like Add2PSU is faulty, but when i plugg in the new PSU, the G2 as the main PSU it will not boot. All cables has been dubble and tripple checked. Wont work. Okay, so maybe its busted? I get another PSU from the retailer, the same make and modell. I plug it into the Add2PSU and try again. Nothing, main PSU clicks and shuts down. I change places again, so that G2 is my main. Same thing. will not boot at all.

For the third time i buy another PSU, a corsair RM 650. I remove all GPUS and only have a SSD, CPU power and the motherboard connection installed on the motherboard. I try to boot - click! Nothing happens.

How could this be possible? the only PSU that works is my very first one EVGA 1000 GQ, i have tried 3 PSUs after that one and they all refuse to boot?

Have any of you guys been dealing with this sort of problem before?

All ideas are welcome. I really grasping for straws here!
