1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: eCommerce is the way to adoption - Do your part on: January 15, 2019, 09:47:59 PM
Already quite often there are sites of large commercial stores, where bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies are used as payment currency. Cryptocurrency is gradually being introduced into electronic commerce and this does not even depend on its official regulation in any country.

Part of the beauty of crypto is that no country needs to accept it, only the business owners do.

I think there are already countless lists like these, but I'll give my two most favorite stores that accept cryptocurrency payments.

Takeaway.com - Has been accepting Bitcoin for years now. You can order food online in many different European countries.

Overstock - They too have been accepting cryptocurrency for years. They even keep part of their payments in Bitcoin and do not immediately exchange everything into fiat.

Really if you're into cryptocurrency yourself, do everything to support these websites. They are a HUGE support for Bitcoin adoption.
I personally use them every month almost and pay with Bitcoin.

The problem with those solutions is that it doesn't allow YOU the consumer to sell your items. Forra is a way for anyone to sell anything to anyone without fees. These are simply businesses that accept crypto.

it sound very interesting seeing lot of crypto asset coming up with project on the ecommerce industry which will  increase the rate of participant in the crypto industry which will definitely lead to mass adoption but irrespective of these great opportunity it offers there are still pending issues that need to be address technically . the major challenge is the issue of insecurity of crypto asset, retailer and institutions are little bit scare about  introducing crypto asset to their online retails shop since the insecurity issue have not fully be address . in my opinion for mass adoption security must be guarantee for participant first before mass adoption

I think you are right. It will be the path to mass adoption

Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are very volatile and therefore they are poorly suited for eCommerce. Stablecoins are better suited for eCommerce.

Forra allows people to pay in any coin and they then turn those funds into a stablecoin, making it a safe and reliable way to send X amount of USD.

This needs consumer demands. If I were a businessman I may not want to use bitcoin as payment now. Especially on a tight budget. I don't want to be trapped with the volatility of it. Well if it goes up then that's a different story, then I will invest.

http://Https://forra.io uses stable coins once the item is purchased to ensure that when something sells everyone is guaranteed the proper amount of money.

The number one way that would happen is if people are using bitcoin and cryptocurrency. THEN governments will adopt it.

Bitcoin adoption is good. But government adoption is not necessary and it contradicts the goals and objectives of bitcoin as a decentralized technology.
For mass adoption as a currency, the issues of volatility and scalability; lack of it, has to be resolved.
This would propel merchants to accept bitcoin not for it's speculative value, but the ease of making transactions using the blockchain

At some point governments will adopt it. It is superior to fiat paper money.

there is more important than mass adoption by all e-commerce in the world, namely the legality recorded in the government law and protected by law by all countries in the world
with the official legality, mass adoption will occur and it will increase the interest of new and existing bitcoin users who have known bitcoin from the beginning
really hope that this will happen soon, and we can enjoy bitcoin by using it like we use PayPal or other e-Money to make payments

I see a different point of view. The number one way that would happen is if people are using bitcoin and cryptocurrency. THEN governments will adopt it.

I see a lot of people posting about different projects related to ecommerce and how this is the best path to adoption. I agree, using crypto as a currency is the best way to increase adoption, and thus marketcap of the coins. Its in everyones best interest to use and adopt crypto.

I wanted to take the time and come up with a brief list of different services and ways to use/spend crypto.

Great for the average person

Forra.io - A cryptocurrency ecommerce marketplace

Great for business owners

paybear.io

coinpayments.io

I wanted to share my startup and invite anyone with a product to sell on it and possibly be featured on our soon to be changed home page

https://market.forra.io

we are a cryptocurrency ecommerce marketplace that is entirely free of fees.

eBay takes 13%.

Amazon takes 13% and much more if using FBA.

We take nothing.

Definitely a good idea, but how does it protect from hacking? Escrow system?

Also, you use blockchain technology, but it's not exactly decentralized. Appears to still be centralized management that can control what's being sold and moderate what's going on.

Yes, it is not fully decentralized, only to ensure that people are trust worthy. You need someone to hold people accountable. Yes, we have an escrow system. Your money is entirely safe and secure.

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The cryptocurrency version of amazon on: November 11, 2018, 04:59:49 PM
Supportive of all projects and we need something to replace Amazon for sure, but until you can find a way for users to move away from Amazon and start using alternatives, we can never find better range of items or better prices than on Amazon itself.

Add to the services that let you pay for Amazon items with crypto, at 10% or even I've seen 15% discount, then it makes Amazon items still very hard to beat.

Also, too many alternative marketplaces, so choices are made even thinner. Tough market, not sure what's the recipe for success.

We know that the journey will not be easy, but we plan on being the go-to place to buy and sell anything for cryptocurrency
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The cryptocurrency version of amazon on: November 11, 2018, 04:58:44 PM
Forra is easy to understand, but how Forra will overcome the exchange if the stock exchange is still deteriorating. does Forra really want to launch an e-commerce model project at this time

The future of ecommerce is cryptocurrency. We are building that future.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The cryptocurrency version of amazon on: November 11, 2018, 04:43:02 AM
If you mean a version as amazon
Then I think there’s a project regarding this, Gemstra project and I guess their ico is stollbkive

It encourages easy and convenient trading on both segments of seller escrow and buyer
There’s a prompt delivery too

There is no need to have an ICO for another project when Forra has a better working product.
