I see a lot of people posting about different projects related to ecommerce and how this is the best path to adoption. I agree, using crypto as a currency is the best way to increase adoption, and thus marketcap of the coins. Its in everyones best interest to use and adopt crypto.

I wanted to take the time and come up with a brief list of different services and ways to use/spend crypto.

the use of bitcoin and cryptocurrency will occur in the real world as a means of payment if the government itself has adjusted it, but what is seen is that some governments still have not legalized bitcoin and crypto

It is the main use of why bitcoin and crypto's were made, to be used as an alternative payment method for these payment processors that gives you days before claiming and the transfer of your money to your bank account.

And it's the major cause why these altcoins are keep on coming, they keep on boasting out on how quick they are, eligible and convenient as a means of payment.

There are several ico projects who claims to provide a new ecosystem for e-commerce and forcing their tokens to be the medium of payment in the platform. But they lack competitive advantage and important relations with users. It's quite hard for them to survive because the old e-commerce platform can simply choose to accept crypto payments. With the advance of LN, Segwit and so on, I believe Bitcoin will be the first choice for merchants, therefore those ICO projects won't go anywhere.

Bitcoin adoption is good. But government adoption is not necessary and it contradicts the goals and objectives of bitcoin as a decentralized technology.
For mass adoption as a currency, the issues of volatility and scalability; lack of it, has to be resolved.
This would propel merchants to accept bitcoin not for it's speculative value, but the ease of making transactions using the blockchain

The final verdict on the best use for Bitcoin is still being discussed and has not been decided yet. Some people seem to think that it is an excellent store of value and that it should rather follow that path. Others share your view and wants it to be an alternative currency to the current fiat system.

I do not have a problem with any of the two options and would prefer that people use Bitcoin in the way that suites their personal needs.

Anyway to introduce cryptocurrencies to ordinary people is useful. e-commerce area is the best way to reach people. As people start to use cryptocurrencies in their daily life, they will be used to cryptocurrencies and demand from their governments for the acceptance of cryptocurrencies.

I don't think the consumer use case is as important as most people think. At this point, it doesn't make sense for people to buy cryptocurrency just to spend it -- it's extremely volatile and usage is too low to justify interest from merchants.

People should continue using cryptocurrency as they see fit -- as a speculative investment, for P2P payments, for commerce, etc. Merchant adoption will come in time but it will always lag significantly behind user adoption. They don't have a strong incentive to accept Bitcoin payments until consumers demand it.

This needs consumer demands. If I were a businessman I may not want to use bitcoin as payment now. Especially on a tight budget. I don't want to be trapped with the volatility of it. Well if it goes up then that's a different story, then I will invest.

Our part can only be done when the merchants allows us to by accepting coins as payment. On the other hand, as a merchant,  it won't be easy adopting it now as we have bull or bear market, you can only do it with a very stable coin if not,  losses may set in.

If merchants could give good discounts (for example 10-25%) while user pays with cryptocurrency - I think it would attract new users to learn about crypto. But the way from fiat to crypto should be easy also.

This needs consumer demands. If I were a businessman I may not want to use bitcoin as payment now. Especially on a tight budget. I don't want to be trapped with the volatility of it. Well if it goes up then that's a different story, then I will invest.

it sound very interesting seeing lot of crypto asset coming up with project on the ecommerce industry which will  increase the rate of participant in the crypto industry which will definitely lead to mass adoption but irrespective of these great opportunity it offers there are still pending issues that need to be address technically . the major challenge is the issue of insecurity of crypto asset, retailer and institutions are little bit scare about  introducing crypto asset to their online retails shop since the insecurity issue have not fully be address . in my opinion for mass adoption security must be guarantee for participant first before mass adoption
