I went to my local Wal-mart to buy Bitcoins and no one knew what I was talking about...however bitinstant.com lists them as a location that I can deposit at to receive Bitcoins. I talked to three separate people there at the service desk and all I got back was "what?" Can anyone help me?

I do not think that China hate bitcoin. Only the Government does not like bitcoin because most of the rich people in this country tend to invest their money in cryptocurrency. Therefore, the government can not control their property and collect tax. As you can see, China was the biggest country which involve in the bitcoin society.

Proponents of Bitcoin as ‘digital cash’ place more emphasis on the accessibility aspect, arguing that its transaction fees should be low, whereas proponents of Bitcoin as ‘digital gold’ are more focused on its security, arguing that this should not be compromised by efforts to lower costs.
In my opinion Bitcoin is and will be both: digital gold and digital cash.

If Bitcoin will be banned by all government, then I think bitcoin will die and so the other altcoins. But I do not really see a reason why this would happen, if the government really wanted its people to improve financially, then why ban bitcoin when there is sure income for the people from it.

Does anyone know of a website that tracks the progression of bitcoin's richest addresses over time? Ie these addresses were the richest as of month x, these addresses were the richest as of month x+1 etc. I found such a website once but am unable to re-find. Hoping someone in the community might have a suggestion. Thanks!

No,It's not anonymous.Bitcoin is subject to traffic analysis and is not anonymous.
However, there are degrees of anonymity. The thing about bitcoin is that it takes some effort to figure out who owns what wallet, so it's more anonymous than credit card transactions where you give your identity to the vendor.

One of the biggest uses of bitcoin is it's pseudonymous.Another of the biggest uses of bitcoin is that, compared to other electronic payment systems, it has a very low transaction cost.

Yes, digital currency will replace paper money. If we are talking about the means to which we use currency, then yes, paper money will be replaced by digital currency. But I do not mean that something like Bitcoins will replace traditional currency. I am speaking of transactions that use something like a debit card or credit card.

Banks either react on, or they will disappear. Anyway, the consolidation of the banking industry accelerates as the behavior of people changes. Some banks will benefit from , some will be pushed to the back end, and some will disappear.

It is not possible with current technology, and this fact is provable from basic and well-understood assumptions about modern cryptocurrency primitives.

It's great question. No, bitcoin payments are not anonymous. Bitcoin payments are pseudonymous. All bitcoin payments go to bitcoin addresses. Anybody can create an address. But bitcoin payments are sometimes referred to as prosecution futures, because they are all public and part of bitcoin's immutable public record called the blockchain.

Bitcoin is a Digital Currency, which was made as an other option to the money we know about. Essentially, it is a cash which isn't overseen by a national bank, so no national bank/Government controls or manages the money, it is controlled and directed by the proprietors of the cash itself. As the cash depends on an open-source code which can be inspected by anybody.
