Sounds good, but if you think that "5 sMerits is not enough for a really high-quality post"? How much will you propose? I think the forum should limit the maximum sMerits each post can receive from other users. That might be the idea behind the Merit Measurement Scale. Merit System should have minimum (of course 1 sMerit) and maximum sMerits for each post!. It should be discussed and implemented in the near future. There are lots of users who have already tried taking advantage of those drawbacks of current merit system. |

All of those have made our forum like a shitty forum. It's not good. The forum was created as a place for discussion about crypto ecosystem. Since now, it should be and turn back to its original one. Let's grow up, matured over time, making and contributing higher-quality posts over time, then the forum will be almost perfect place for discussion. Let's go along with the merit system, everyone. |

In addition, I think the system should be adjusted to give users, paricularly lower-rank users, such as Junior Members like me, a period-gifted merits. The number of automatically allocated merits should be discussed more. For example, 1 merit per month. It's not much, but it will give new users motivation to join the forum. For newbies, new users, I guess it is a little bit hard for them to write such as meaningful, constructive, high-qualitied posts, right?

Great idea! However I dont think that Theymos will take it into consideration. I need merits too, but I don't think your solution is realistic.
This one might cause massive abusement in the forum from newbies. There will have tons of newbie accounts which created only for getting free merit scores and selling them to higher-rank members.

Yes but for some people it simply makes more economic sense to join a pool like suprnova. I doubt they will refrain from doing so if that's the best way to earn them some coins. We have 12 pools on the first page with donations and 21 without donations. If the pool does not sacrifice this does not mean that it is bad for BTCZ. No one prevents you from donating to the community manually. The pool suprnova, no longer 51% hash. As I explained above, they are not to blame for the fact that they are popular, it just means that they work well and have already earned their trust. We all need to thank them for their good work and not be angry with them. Thanks to them, many learned about us and came to the community. But do not forget that a good and strong coin is a decentralized coin. So I call on the miners to help BTCZ in decentralization. In the decentralization of our strength! Really good idea, however it's pools owners decisions. We can not do anything about that. |
