Okay...what about: Creators register alias with name of the project for their address?
I thought about that. It looks not natural. I think the main use case of this tables is to see what good is going on. With respect to authors, people are interested in projects. I don't expect that visitor will copy all addresses at the spreadsheet and donate to everybody. So we need only |project category|project name|short project description|project link|. All author-related information should be in the project and organized like author wants. And I think that table is bad idea and we need to create a wiki page for each category and then create a table with |project name|short project description|project link| P.S. I'm talking about information organizing, not about your *starter idea. It is cool but my approach is not related to it P.S.S. nice scratch

I think we should forbid posting addresses of program creators in public editable spreadsheet. I'll change all of them with mine addresses tomorrow. If you revert changes - I'll wait for a couple of days and change one of them. Or two. Or after a week. I wish you got the idea.
This is where something like NXTstarter could help, as every project would have its own page and only the registered author could make changes. Centralized site is bad idea. It must be an application which database is nxt chain.

Seriously, we need table |project name|description|author nickname|author link|author's proof with his/her address| We need GPG for everything or need to invent some innovative proofing stuff.
Making spreadsheet that is editable only by 1 author means centralization. Why we should trust the author? I can clone one of existing tables, post here link with that table and after a week change all of addresses with mine. I will register new account and simulate activity before posting there. You'll think you can trust me. You'll forget what BCNext said ..

As some guy may know, some special characters including "(" can't be handled with curl to call the API in the linux console.
Maybe just use the character codes instead of the actual chars http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/html3/latin1.htmlIt is not encoding that needed.

Example 1 NXT = $ 100 I pay for the goods in the store for $ 69.56 Question How can I pay 0.69 NXT For payment at stores NXT is not convenient than Bitcoin
Goods are sold for NXT, no price in $ Ok, now seriously. Now it is not needed but already implemented but turned off.

I'm requesting from each client-dev banner at login page like: " To protect yourself from bruteforce, combine or generate 30+ char passphrase, u can use full Unicode table for that". Optional link: http://unicode-table.com/en/Do you really think that unicode is better than my password? w4L%'.94W}cO`!8tSWa^E}XAeHM-unOk7PBPKh2gQi_5t[nQ@^6y`Z{<.%%5 Unicode is not needed. What I really want is key files with pass-phrase like in SSH

I am thinking about upgrading RaspNXT to a full-fledged install script for all -nux systems. If this came to pass, installing on such systems should become really easy.
Deploying is already described in DSL here. Just transcript it if you want

Seems like no built-in encryption.

run 5.3.0 displayed: java.lang.NullPointerException restart several times, but not solved. boz 5.4.e realeased,so 5.3.0 is not compatible? or other problem? As usual, remove *.nxt files and restart. Or replace them with the older version to speed up.

If I hardcode 136941 first blocks and run it at single node will my chain win? Why not?
- Anyway, the release client has a restriction that it will never switch onto a fork >720 blocks old (not sure about this one?) They we'll have to manually destroy forks. Who chooses which one is true?

We need some post with list of NXT projects in development / short description / link and addresses to support. I have some NXT reserved to help but just don't know where to send them to make good use of it. I give 5k NXT bounty to create such post. Text needs to be accepted by some trustworthy user here and placed on board by him.
I think this is a great idea! I'm working a lot on mynxt.info and I got Nxt donations from pouncer and bybitcoin (many thanks) for the 20 public nodes I setup as part of their bounties program but nothing so far for the blockchain explorer and alerts system I developed, and their bounties thread is now closed. The nxt I got won't last much, I have a lot in the pipeline and a little support would go a long way. At the beginning it existed.

How about peer cleaning? Now I have 800 active peers. It is too much for my little node

With blockchain.info, you're still trusting your money to a third party, and they could run off with your coins / get your coins hacked / etc. But blockchain is run by a company with an extended validation certificate, a large customer base, a valuable brand, etc. Whereas nxtwallet.com is a website on a privacy-backed domain with a self signed cert that could disappear tomorrow taking a few gullible people's keys with it. I don't think OP had that intention, and it's good that he has now included a big disclaimer in the first post. Question: how easy is it for people who run public nodes on 7875 and who dont want to give people the opportunity to enter their passphrase to remove the "unlock account" button? Blockchain.info doesn't work in that way. They don't have access to your private keys, so they can't steal your coins, that is why is the safest online wallet. (but for 100% safety of course always keep your bitcoins in offline wallet) Of course hackers can take them if the hack you, or if blockchain change his way of working in the future. Anywhere explained how they could do that? Any links?
