The project sounds interesting. I do however have a concern. What's to stop so called 'experts' from just holding on the phone line and stretching out their conversation just to earn more? Thinking about it probably their reputation. I hope your strategy to get people to change their true and love methods for this will work though!
We'll have reputation system built in. After call you can rate and comment about expert (and he can as well comment about you) |

How is the price determined to get in contact with an expert? Does the expert sets a certain price or will it also be based on something like reviews from previous users tha had contact with him?
Expert can set any price he wants to charge. In future versions he'll also be able to set variable prices for example different one during working days and different one over the weekends. |

I don't see any information about a bounty campaign, aside from translations. Is the intention to use the airdrop-inspired bitcointalk comments and questions (which are required for the airdrop) as the only crowdsourced promotion mechanism and forego the typical Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and Bitcointalk profile bounty campaigns?

How are you going to encourage the adoption of cryptocurrency on a global scale?
Have you planned a specific marketing campaign to reach a much larger audience than the one usually targeted in the cryptocurrency world?

Yes - large part of funds from the ICO is planned on marketing to get larger audience. First year will focus on crypto space however - that'll allow us to prepare the software and make the app more convenient for people not familiar with crypto at all. When we'll succeed we believe it will help crypto a lot since every experty user will have ETH wallet built in by default |

Some month ago i was wondering when the blockchain would finally be used to connect people over the phone, you had this wonderful idea first in the market, i hope it will have success. What is the purpose of the coin if the payments are made in ETH?
Payments were made in ETH only in the prototype showed on demo. It was just to simplify the development a bit. On alpha version which will be released soon there'll be only only payments with EXY (on Kovan network currently for tests) Also the use of token goes beyond just payments - we're planning incentivising people to hold it by making able to access premium features for holders with certain amount of EXY in their wallets. Hi there,
A very interesting project that caters the need for efficient knowledge sharing between experts and people who require expert services.
This is the first time I came across a business model where the blockchain is used to provide an incentive for professionals for taking phone calls. For example, I am a professional from the the education sector and for the numerous phone calls I receive from would be clients I do not get any sort of incentive. Experty provides an incentive to professionals and this has definite plus points for the company and will open up the company to become a market leader in this niche field.
I would like to know is there a data base where professionals can register with the company ? How does that happen, please explain.

When you'll create an account you'll have a public profile which you can share with your students on your website for example (or any other place in the internet). The link will point to information about you, your rate etc, and information on where to get an app to contact you. (appstore link and some instructions) Hope that helps with your question :-) |

We're in contact with several exchanges already. We have Craig who's ex cto of bitfinex in our advisory board and several contacts with the exchanges made already. We're doing KYC/AML on the token sale and have lawyers opinion that the token is not considered as security so listing should be easier than some other tokens which have problems with that part. We'll be announcing on twitter, telegram, website and here which exchange lists the token |

they are charged only with virtual currencies or also with physical money ?
1st year will be crypto only. This will give us some time for polishing the app and making it straightforward to use by people not familiar with that. (transaction fees, gas prices etc.) After one year we're planning to integrate FIAT gateway into the app and allow for seamless conversion from FIAT to our token |

I have a couple of question for the team. First of all, Experty.io (the name itself says it already) is there for people in need of experts and experts that are willing to help people by phone with their expertise. When is someone an expert? Has the team some sort of criteria list for the experts to apply and the become an expert. Further than that, how will these experts guarantee the customers to provide qualitative help? For example, I ask a lawyer for some legal advice. Eventually I implement that advice but the outcome is not in my favor. Will the customer get a refund? Will the team examine the given advice theirselves? And what about the liability.
Finally my last question; Is it also possible to make a 'upcoming expert' category to give students also a chance and involve them? There are lots of students that are not an expert yet, but they are capable enough to provide decent advice according to their knowledge about the specific thing they're studying. If the team is open to this idea, send me a personal message. I know some very interested parties to reach out to.
1. We're not creating a marketplace so we're not validating if someone is an expert or he's not. You'll be able to can go to one's website and find a link for calling him via experty there. Or you can visit youtuber's profile and you'll be able to simply call him directly. 2. We're considering refunds. Current idea is to make able to refund for example during some initial time of the call. Most likely we'll leave this up to users and 3rd party marketplaces - so they'll be able to enable that feature to improve their credibility, while some famous people will be able not to use it. 3. this is related to first question - it's a marketplace problem not the platform itself - we're not deciding if you're an expert or not. If you don't have a credibility you'll charge less to build it |

it's a great app, but i have a question , why should i pay for calls while there are a lot of programs i can use for free ? what is you edge here ?
well, just try to call someone really popular over the Skype and you'll see where's the edge we're touching :-) We're simply making an incentive for answering these calls by experts and to publish their direct call links. |

How do you prevent knowledge providers to deliberately linger to get more money?
there'll be reputation system built in. Experts usually don't like using their time and reputation on lingering and prefer to focus on something more productive. |

Well this is a good project and will be accepted guickly but looking at your demonstration video and reading some of your write ups got me thinking, what are your plans to bring this project in countries in Africa since we are not that advanced in terms of technology yet? Were we put into consideration or your targets were the already developed countries. If indeed you want to make it a globally accepted innovation then u need to add us to your plans because we are part of the globe too. I really would love to know your plans.. About Africa as a continent.
All you need to use our app and monetize your knowledge is to have a smartphone connected to internet, and most of people even in Africa already have one. Doing project on cryptocurrencies is avoiding banking and there're problems with it in some countries. Since the application is global everyone can use it and people from Africa usually will be more competitive when it comes to prices comparing to US or EU professionals. |

What do you mean for partners tokens?
These are tokens planned for establishing partnerships with marketplaces and influencers to popularize the product. These are locked for 18months so they cannot dump the price, and we believe that after that period the app will have enough premium features incentives so it's more worth holding than selling |

your project look like a amazing stuff but there is a lot of ERC 20 token at the moment.
how can you make the difference and became better than the other? yourexclusive airdrop was a great idea and your team look serious is a good point.
Thats true that there're plenty of tokens, however there're plenty of scam projects as well. Many are just a clones of popular coins not really bringing anything new. We're going to build a real company with real product and differ that way. |

Interesting project. There are a few points which come to mind. Seen this type of business on the web & think that there is one major point in that the 'expert' appointed must be a true 'expert' in the field . For example, a Lawyer asked a technical issue of law in the Country you reside in must be able to fully understand your question & the 'background ' of the question. It is very difficult to satisfy someone via a short 'conversation' or text if the subset of the question is not in the area of expertize.
A second point is how can you be satisfied with your 'experts' unless there is a considerable amount of vetting & monitoring. All this takes time & who pays for that time. A busy 'expert' in their own profession would not be interested, yet the is the type of person you want. Someone with time on their hands may not be a worthwhile expert.
This is the reason we're not building marketplace but want to integrate with other marketplaces. We believe one team cannot focus on evaluating every business out there and create good software the same time. Some company will have 'doctors' other will have lawyers etc. Ofc there's also an option to use without any marketplace - just share your profile on your blog/website etc. Regarding second point - there're 2 answers: 1. Simply busy expert can charge more :-) There's a saying that everyone has his price - $1000 / minute and you have incentive (ofc I don't think many people will charge this much - but we left the space open as well for celebrities - not only consultations) 2. Busy people often need to filter out their clients and this is perfect tool to do so. We've already made few partnerships and this is especially the case where companies see the potential (MME and BitcoinSuisse) |

I have to say, I like this project a lot.
Do you have any plans for a centralized directory of the experts or will it be more akin to just putting an "experty" button on your website/bog/youtube channel/etc? Also, I am assuming that the experts can choose their own rates, but is there a minimum cost per minute to use the service?
The second option - we don't plan to build marketplace, however we're planning to partnership with other marketplaces. So you will be able to open marketplace for doctors and use experty platform to handle paid call through it. Experts can choose their rates. In current version there's flat minute rate in the roadmap we'll implement variable rate for example on different days/hours and during a call - so you can lets say make first 3 minutes cheaper and then more expensive (or the other way) etc. There's no minimum cost per minute but recipient will need to pay eth gas for 2 transactions (couple cents currently) |

Sounds like a good idea, but I am concerned with exactly I can market myself on this platform. Crypto doesn't have a lot of people involved, does experty plan to market itself aggressively?
In single word - yes. We're planning aggressive marketing campaign. 40% of raised funds are allocated on that part. Our strategy is to focus first year on crypto space only. You're wrong that crypto doesn't have many people involded - there're millions of users already, and plenty of newcomers seeking knowledge about it. Experty can be used for advises on which altcoin to invest to, how to prepare mining rig etc. etc. |

I think you have a really good idea here that people will want to use. I believe your idea of not doing a centralized market is a smart approach - if you can get on quora and statckoverflow and others. I think having your own token will turn some people off; it would be easier to just do everything in Ether; you will sell the people on the idea of why your token is value added. Good luck with the project.
Thank you. About your comment in doing payment in ETH - it also opens us possibility to switch blockchains in case when scalability problems of ethereum will not be solved. Also keeps us tokens for promotion of the product and we're planning some more utilities for token keepers like having free access to premium features just for token holders  |

Experty.io seems to be a great project in the making, However I will like to know the criteria to be used in rating the influencers qualified for the paid consultation. In essence, what will be the underlying strategy for evaluating potential cryptocall influencers who are qualified to be paid for due consultation?
There are no criteria for that! The idea is that everyone can share link for his paid call wherever he'd like to - his youtube channel, blog or website. And he can get paid immediately - just like sharing your phone number anyone can call you, but with Experty he needs to pay you to do so, |
