Benzema has just recovered from his injury so it's only natural that he hasn't returned to his best form, for the quality that Benzema has of course no one doubts him, he has been a mainstay of Real Madrid for the past few seasons. and with the penalty failure last weekend was not something that made him have to be left out in the Real Madrid team, even though he is not young anymore but Benzema's quality is still very good, last season he was the mainstay of Real Madrid who managed to bring Real Madrid to the La Liga title, League and UCL. Group E with Germany and Spain will be amazing to watch. My guess is that Germany will eventually play the final.
But there are so many great countries playing that it's never easy to predict who will pass. That's part of the fun. Only 190 or so days to start!
Germany don't have many quality players at the moment, I think it's difficult for them to be in the final. German player regeneration is currently starting to break. but group E will be very interesting to watch Germany and Spain have a strong attraction, both are the best in Europe. but this is a world cup participated by many countries, it has always been very difficult to predict even though teams from europe have many classy players but it is not easy for them to conquer the world cup. Well, we have to wait to see the result of Atalanta and Fiorentina first before saying that Roma is not even getting a place in Europa League. Now they remain in the last spot for the EL but a win from Atalanta or Fiorentina will get them out from the EL zone. Fiorentina has better chance to take the 6th position than Atalanta because Atalanta will have to beat Milan while Fiorentina have to beat Sampdoria. If both Atalanta and Fiorentina lose, the last place for EL will be determined in the last match of the season. The performance of Fiorentina and Atalanta is quite good compared to the performance of Roma. Atalanta team performance is now stable. They have not lost in the last 4 matches. Roma, on the other hand, have not won in their last five matches. And Fiorentina won the last match but lost the previous 3 matches. My guess is we will see the Atalanta team in sixth place in the table. The draw that Roma got against the team at the bottom of the standings was quite embarrassing for those who even though they really needed points to compete for tickets to the Europa League. I don't understand why Roma can be this bad, they were against a lower team playing with 10 men but they failed to win. they have been really inconsistent this season. with this result I think they have to give up the 6th position in the standings. while Atalanta and Fiorentina have the same chance in my opinion to be able to occupy the 6th position in the standings even though Atalanta will play against AC Milan, but anything is still possible to happen. |

Finally Messi raised his goal stats by scoring two today. Paris Saint-Germain beat Montpellier with four goals and first two were from Messi. It's kinda funny that he scored only four goals in previous twenty four games but scored two in this game. He didn't play in France like he played in Barcelona, I don't know if he is happy about this team and gameplay. Maybe we see a move in this Summer transfer window.
He is at his peak age and what i can see that he is not having an explosive spirit as great as what cristiano did , messi might enjoying his paycheck very well and planning for the retirement , i don't see any excitement in his eyes nor in his gesture especially after the champions league total failure , messi has no goal in his peak career in my opinion. good to see he is in scoresheet but still he is not in the top 5 list , messi at psg more like to an assistant to neymar and mbappe , as he multiple times failed to convert a greta chance into a goal, this is his problem. although so many PSG fans were very disappointed with messi's performance in his first season with PSG, he seemed to play not with all his heart, there was not much he could give for PSG this season especially when PSG were eliminated in the CHampion League. in the match against Montpellier the victory they achieved was very reasonable, when their quality was far superior in all respects. |

Yeah, if City wins today they are champions for sure. If they do not lose, they are 99% champions. Manchester City will not lose 4 points or more in last two matches. 4 points loss from Manchester City are what Liverpool need to become a Champions and with a condition that they get 6 points from their matches too. Only one of two conditions might occur so Liverpool understand that their opportunity is mostly zero. At least they won FA Cup yesterday after a penalty shoot-out with Chelsea. In that match, Chelsea played better than Liverpool smd created more opportunities closely to goals
Liverpool seems to focus for the match in Paris. Winning in Premier League is not their priority now. it seems so, with only 2 games remaining to end the season Liverpool now realize that their chances of overtaking Man City are very small so they have to focus on the UCL final they will play. after they got the FA cup now they have to return to recovery and focus on the UCL final because it is the most prestigious trophy and of course the trophy is their priority. while Man City are unstoppable, they are focused solely on Premier league matches after they were eliminated from the UCL. |

Bayern Munich played really poor football their last 10-12 match.Even last match they lost the point against Wolfsburg. Bayern Munich scored first 2 goal but wolfsburg came back Their game after 44" they also scored 2 goals and mach ended in draw 2-2.But Bayern Munich fans are expected that bayern Munich would win.Bayen Fans are very disappointed with Their performance. I hope Bayern Munich will be better played in next season.
Bayern Munich has since secure the title long ago. So in the last 3 matches they did not play to win. Players have fewer attacks. And perhaps the players didn't even do enough training before the match. They have lost points in the last 3 matches. Bayern Munich's prerogative was to send some players to rest after the title was confirmed. But they did not. However, next season I want to see the Bayern Munich team in a stronger position. Bayern Munich bundes league is very strong even in terms of quality there are many opponents that can be faced even though Bayern did not field some of their main players, but after they confirmed the title there was no more motivation for them to win the game, they would only field a few young players to add experience. Still on Gabriel Jesus transfer to Arsenal,reports says that Gabriel Jesus have agreed personal terms with Arsenal,with a proposal of a five year deal from Arsenal on the table.It is aso reported that Mancity are demanding atleast 50 million to 60 million pounds for the Brazilian,but Arsenal have initially submitted 40 million.It is yet to be seen whether Mancity will accept it or not,but I guess it will be dependant on Arsenal qualifying for champions league or not.
I have to say, that the price range of 40 to 50 Million pounds seems surprisingly appropriate and reasonable to me. Especially for transfers between two clubs of the English premier League. I mean i am used to clubs paying 50 or 60 Million for absolutely average players that are actually not worth more than 20 Million because the Premier League clubs just have the money to pay that because of their extremely high income from the TV stations. For example Grealish is never worth 100 Million pounds but ManCity paid it anyway. Gabriel Jesus showed some very good performances in the last few game and also in the Champions League and i think that around 50 Million pounds would be a fair price for him for the standards of today. That's a reasonable price for a player like Gabriel Jesus who has played very well all season, but I think Arsenal are a little bit holding back from buying a player at such a high price. but if it is true then Gabriel Jesus' quality will be very advantageous for Arsenal for his front line. |

The performance of Stuttgart have been quite bad recently and even though the players of Stuttgart are still trying their best to fight for survival in the relegation battle but I think they will struggle against FC Koln today, I guess FC Koln might be able to claim a victory against Stuttgart today.
Hard to say who will win this game since stuttgart team need the 3 point to avoid relegation in the otherhand they need hertha berlin to lose which i think will happen since they will be facing dortmund so i think we should avoid betting on the stuttgart koln game. There are always very strong teams in the league. Real Madrid has always been very strong and has always been the biggest rival. Several times I get information from the facebook homepage which sometimes appears, the information I get is about the new format changes that will be implemented in the 2024/2025 season, and it looks like this is official from UEFA which previously I thought was just a hoax or something like that. The first change is about increasing the number of contestants, from 32 to 36 and for the second change is not using the group stage. But they're going to have a competition format or something like what might be called a mini league or something like that, I haven't looked further either. Regarding this, I personally just hope that whatever format is used, at least the competition to enter the Champions League does not make it easy, because if it is made easy, the competition for Champions League tickets will no longer be competitive and exciting.

Inter Milan played more dominantly and although Inter Milan had trailed 2-1 but a goal from Calhanoglu forced Juventus to play until the extra time round until finally Inter Milan was able to score 2 more goals and make the score 4-2. I feel this is a very well deserved win for Inter Milan who have played well and consistently this season compared to Juventus. |
