I want to congratulate the developers with a successful start, it was one of the best starts in recent times. Smooth transition to the mainnet and accessibility for all platforms.
LOL, in recent times? Hardly. This started out with devs saying it could only be mined using a built-in cpu miner with a confusing script that would launch multiple daemons. I'm sure their plan all along was to mine with their GPUs while the idiots wasted cpu cycles. They waxed poetic as to how different this coin was and how it was too advanced for pools or miners to implement. Only when pools did actually implement it because its nothing more than a standard algo did they change their tune. Lets not forget that rewards started 2 days after the stated time. If you ask me, this ranks as the 2nd worst start in recent times, ranking right after Bitcoin Gold. This was a simple statement of facts, but it appears you have a certain narrative that you are content on aligning your re-wording towards. There are 1250 coins on the market today, if for some reason STRAKS is not a currency that you would like to be a part of, I am certain that there are other currencies out there that will resonate with you. Nobody is forced to trade nor direct mining power towards STRAKS if they do not want to. At no point did we "change our tune" as you state, it is simply just a fact that the protocol is newer than what there currently is on the market. The protocol is too new for mining pools to be able to easily implement it without any updates implemented to pools. Our hopes were that CPU mining would have lasted longer, so that even the hobby miner would have had a chance to get on board (the farms today can make it difficult for the small hobby miner to get on board) but while monitoring hashrates it became evident that someone had managed to crack it a day before launch. All credit goes to Decker from Deckerpool ( https://t.me/deckerpool) who managed to update yiimp to the new protocol. After we managed to locate him, we approached him and agreed to pay him a bounty in exchange for making the code open source to the public ( https://github.com/DeckerSU/yiimp/tree/straks), so that pools could be set up, miners would have a leveled playing-field and lastly so that the hashing power could be decentralised across multiple pools. If we were, as you state, holding onto a GPU miner ourselves, I am not exactly sure why we would go to the effort to pay someone for their source code for GPU mining? I addressed this very concern several pages ago too ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2433318.msg24952030#msg24952030). A core value to STRAKS is transparency. Under no circumstance will we ever compromise on that value. We know the cryptocurrency market is crowded with nefarious individuals, we seek to shake that up by doing our part to create an ethical corner in this crowded space of nefarious individuals.

There is no Premine u dumb ass .
And the DIFF is so went to mars and beyond
1.2 TH now !!!!
Devs allocated to themselves 6,874,997 STRAKS correct? Even if they didn't physically have to mine that coin, that would still be a premine, would it not? https://straks.info/richlistThe team equity is paid out in smaller portions on a monthly basis in a fully transparent manner - you will have full view of all addresses STRAKS will be attributed to, from the allocated team equity (developer fund). The team equity is currently unavailable to the team. This incentive was added to ensure the team has a long term financial incentive for their contributions towards making STRAKS successful.

That is correct. This is dedicated towards the swap.

Block rewards are now officially active. Congratulations to the first owners of STRAKS. We hope you are as excited about mining as we are.

This looks great....hope this is not another ER2 Token?
Nope! From what I can gather, it's an extension (fork?) of sorts from the old signatum, but with the 'original' lot of developers. In fact, they'll be offering a signatum swap a bit later on to pull some of the holders from that chain over to them. From memory, think that was later this month but I guess they'll be updates on what's happening soon. This is a new digital currency and it shares no technical association to Signatum. This is simply a free coin-swap to a new and much better currency, where you are invited to swap your Signatum coins towards. The developers of STRAKS were never part of the core Signatum team. Some contributed on a community level, but that was all. The founders and core developers from that project are not involved in STRAKS. We will provide full details on the swap process in the very near future. Please stay tuned.

has anyone been getting block and get a coin?
There is still a bit of time until the block rewards kicks in. Please follow the orange box here: Miners are on board and rapidly increasing. Everyone getting ready for the rewards to start.

If the devs have a working GPU miner before the community when the reward hits tomorrow, then they will be able to quickly mine tons on top of the 5% premine & surely will be dumped at massive profits.
Very skeptical of this coin, seems like another get rich quick scheme. On top of that by offering signatum exchange, it will drive interest as many have been left holding a bunch, which would probably cause a fast pump and dump, as many try to exchange to more stable coins from sigt to starks to something else.
Furthermore the dev team seems rather anonymous & starks doesn't really offer anything new to the scene.
Hope I am wrong, but that's my initial impression.

Just curious - what is the reason behind the swap? Is it just a rescue of the SIGT community?
It's simple. The coins are reserved for swap. Noone will be able to count how much were really swapped. So it's additional hidden premine. Yes yes - some coins will be burnt or airdropped or smth else - of course everything must look "fair". All shitcoins are "fair" ..... until dump. There will be a public burn address available on the Signatum block explorer, in plain view for everyone to see and follow. If you know how many coins are swapped/burned, a quick division by 4 will give you the total number of STRAKS of the dedicated swap supply (which you can follow transparently on the rich-list, it carries the tag "swap") that is distributed to SIGT coin-holders during the swap period. The Signatum burn address and the STRAKS addressed dedicated exclusively for the swap, have to match up at a ratio of 4:1, if not then you know there is an issue. No STRAKS from that address can be given out during that 30-day period without the required swap amount from Signatum matching it. Any coins that remain unswapped at the end of the 30 day swap-period, we have communicated clearly and transparently will be split 40/60 between the treasury fund (to pay for ongoing operational expenses - which will also be made public - like the listing fee coverage from the donation fund was today) and air-drops. When there is full transparency, there is zero chance of any of those scenarios happening, that you are concerned about.

So available ccminers dont support STRAKS and we need a new miner for GPU mining . Correct ?
That is correct, all the old miners run using old BTC protocol, no miner yet exists that runs the new protocol required alongside the Algorithm implemented for Straks. Any proof of new protocol? Or it is just like skunk was "new"? They took diff change from bch- that is "new protocol? For the moment devs are "gaining" trust by deleting uncomfortable posts. It is common practise across all communities that a proper tonality is adhered to. As your comment clearly did not, it was removed. Not to mention you were already advised to keep to the topic and refrain from discussing other coins that have no relation to STRAKS - again I highly advise you to move such discussions across to their respective channels. Let me also repeat what we have communicated for several weeks now; there is full transparency on everything - it is a core value for STRAKS. That is pretty clear if you read the Github repository and you engaged in the community. If for some reason you are still not happy with STRAKS, I am confident that there will be other projects among the 1200 live coins on the market, that you can find solace in.

whose party? I'm pretty sure that devs had intentionally changed wallet code to make mining with GPU for the rest impossible in the start. Instead of instamine they have an illusion of fair start and will mine with own ready to use miner. Just other sort of instamine.
It's sad but it isn't obvious for others. There is no other reason to make GPU mining impossible with old lyra2v2 algo. Even CPU mining with normal cpu-miner is impossible. Only some shitty"miner" - and you don't even know what it is doing. Of course it is hidden premine made another way. We have just another shitnatum - shitraks.
This coin uses many modern technologies which require updated mining protocol. Most of other coins use 5 years old bitcoin getwork protocol, which is only one implemented in ccminer and cpuminer. Algo is the same, wallet/pool/miner communication protocol is updated. What else except ordinary blablashow like "we are honest trust us"? Whom I should trust - those people that made shitnatum? Ha ha. I certainly hope nobody trusts the creators of Signatum, based on the findings that we have presented to the public of their activities. Those two who shall not be named in here, have absolutely zero ties to STRAKS. Please refrain from discussing other coins but STRAKS here. Thank you.

Let me be abundantly clear and take the time to dispel any rumours that are being created that we in the team hold any mining software ourselves, that are not available to the public. We have made it very clear from the very start of the project that STRAKS is founded on trust and transparency - values we under no circumstances will ever compromise on.
What you see on the richlist and what we communicated is what we get. We will not get a single coin more, unless we invest our own mining power, using the same software as what is publicly available, or we invest personal funds, like any other investor would.
In brief; we have the EXACT same software as that which is currently available to the public, we are ONLY able to mine with CPUs, exactly like everyone else in the community.
ANY and ALL developments will ALWAYS be shared with the community, openly and publicly. We will NEVER compromise on transparency.

nstead of premine, primarily due to the new REV1 payment rebalancing algorithm requiring tracking of supply information, an instamine was added to Block 1 for the total of 41,250,000 STAK.
Full details regarding that supply is available on Github. This is a swap supply and developer funds. Unswapped coins will be used for airdrops and the treasury fund.

Which Exchanges are planning and when to buy STRAKS?
YoBit will be the first exchange we apply to. We will be doing that tomorrow.

|
Please note that there is only wallet mining for the time being:
Here's how to mine using your wallet.
(1) Start QT-wallet (2) Switch to debug console. (3) getaccountaddress 0 (4) generatetoaddress 1 <address from step3> (5) Automate via batch script using straksd.exe, using straks-cli.exe as the client.

there is no executable in windows archive? We were made aware that the extension was not working. This has now been fixed, please try again.
