So right now mining is on test net or mainnet ?

if mainnet why there are no pools yet ?
Blockchain is on mainnet, but instamine protection is activated by coin code, till block 10080

So pools will be active after block 10080 ?

Instructions of solo mining.

1. Download wallet from https://github.com/straks/straks/releases
2. Extract into directory of your choosing
3. Run straksd.exe
4. Run straks-cli.exe getnewaddress
5. Create batch file with the following;
:loop
straks-cli.exe generatetoaddress 1 <generated_address>
goto loop

What you need to register in cohf?
you mean .conf file? if it is, copy and paste next lines.

#################
# General Config
#################
rpcuser=ustraks
rpcpassword=YOUR_SUPER_SECRET_PASSWORD
rpcport=7574
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
server=1
daemon=1
listen=1
#maxconnections=100

####################
# Masternode Config
####################
#masternode=1
#masternodeprivkey=
#externalip=:7575
#promode=1

what am I doing wrong?

open your qt wallet and try it again.

can someone help?

Excellent information about the project, very clear, I was with some doubts, but I managed to answer each one of them, it will be interesting. It is very probable that I will end up investing, anyway, success.

I think your batch file is partially correct, and your CPU is mining alright. Just delete pause command and make it loop.

:loop
straks-cli.exe generatetoaddress 1 <generated_address>
goto loop

whose party? I'm pretty sure that devs had intentionally  changed wallet code to make mining with GPU for the rest impossible in the start. Instead of instamine they have an illusion of fair start and will mine with own ready to use miner. Just other sort of instamine.

Once pool is up you can also mine with GPU . What is issue ?

There are pools already but they can't find a single block.

No problem! you can run multiple batch file to mine with several threads.
around 75% of CPU usage will be most efficient.
I hope GPU miners will be available soon. Wink

It's sad but it isn't obvious for others. There is no other reason to make GPU mining impossible with old lyra2v2 algo. Even CPU mining with normal cpu-miner is impossible. Only some shitty"miner" - and you don't even know what it is doing. Of course it is hidden premine made another way.
We have just another shitnatum - shitraks.

Quote from announcement. I think you can only mine with your wallet.
 ''Due to the unique combination of SegWit, treasury reward, miner reward and Masternode payments, as of this writing, mining software and pools do not yet support STRAKS' coinbasetxn configuration. The only way to mine at the moment is via STRAKS' wallet''

Yes, but remember this announcement when after start you'll find someone mining with much bigger power.

Let me be abundantly clear and take the time to dispel any rumours that are being created that we in the team hold any mining software ourselves, that are not available to the public. We have made it very clear from the very start of the project that STRAKS is founded on trust and transparency - values we under no circumstances will ever compromise on.

What you see on the richlist and what we communicated is what we get. We will not get a single coin more, unless we invest our own mining power, using the same software as what is publicly available, or we invest personal funds, like any other investor would.

In brief; we have the EXACT same software as that which is currently available to the public, we are ONLY able to mine with CPUs, exactly like everyone else in the community.

ANY and ALL developments will ALWAYS be shared with the community, openly and publicly. We will NEVER compromise on transparency.
