My suggestion - if you want a successful coin, do a fair launch with no pre-mine.

I dont worry about power percent on new coins as the new coins themselves give more coins per hash due to being new coins so theres lots of them.
I have 1600W PSU on my 7 GPU rig so if I raise the power above 70% it goes to 1310-1340W and that's above 80% of 1600W. If I run like this for some time my rig crashes, I have to keep if below 80%. |

Happy to see everyone is still having a good time. I have updated the ANN with the GPU miner the creator team was working on to give as a present to you all. Seems we were a little late to the party, but better late than never right? https://github.com/polytimos/release/blob/master/sgminer-polytimos.zipTo those who believe this miner was used before release, check the net hash and think again. Everything we release is realeased to everyone at the same time. Someone else just happened to get a GPU miner done at about the same time. This is great though, it goes to show how many smart people we have in the community, we would like to see this type of thing continue! For me shows as error in the zip file. Anyone else getting this? |

There is nothing to be specific as profitable altcoins.
But Lisk and waves looks nice!
A lot of master node coins are profitable as they paying you for running a master node. Just need to be careful not to jump on a scam. |

I switched my rigs to BTG within about 1 minute of the block being reached and suprnova going live. Kept having to restart miner until suprnova allowed the connection. My rigs have went unhindered since. No crashes. Almost 14 hours so far and I have almost .4 BTG mined......problem now is I have no wallet and cant seem to find one thats operational and trustworthy, so for now I guess I'll leave my BTG in the pool wallet. I'd insert a screenshot if I knew how. Exact balances shown right now 0.2635 confirmed, 0.1370 unconfirmed, and round earnings estimate showing 0.0044
What kind of rig are you using? 12 1070's and 6 1080ti's But I think I'm going to stop mining BTG soon. Seems the difficulty is increasing fast. I think the Dev's mined with easy difficulty and now they set it too high to starve the market, hoping that would drive up the price so they can sell off. I don't think every new coin is a scam coin, but this one certainly is presenting itself that way. If its a bitcoin fork, and equal BTG is gained, then why the premine other than to get rich at the expense of investors. I mined only 0.085 in 8 hours. |
