561  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think that bitcoin can reduce corruption? on: January 13, 2018, 10:31:11 PM
Now that governments have a competitor in terms of currencies, do you think that they will make an effort to make the economic system more transparent or will they just try to ban everything?
Seriously speaking, government does not care about cryptocurrency specially, the uses of cryptocurrency to the necessities of human being. A side of that, they wanted cryptocurrency to be vanished because it seems like cryptocurrency will be their great enemy and problem.  If cryptocurrency will dominate the world then they will not control the system.
Banning of cryptocurrency all over the world will help the govern to atleast hold their citizen.
562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happen if South Korea ban bitcoin trading? on: January 12, 2018, 10:06:07 PM
There are lot of rumors in social media about bitcoin trading going to ban in south korea.what happen to bitcoin price if it is true.
I think they banned some cryptocurrency because they prefer only to use bitcoin. I've seen an article that bitcoin in South Korea has high value. Well I think that other cryptocurrency will affects the price of the bitcoin in their country. The great demand for other cryptocurrency will reflect to the price of bitcoin.
563  Economy / Economics / Re: What is Debt? on: January 12, 2018, 02:21:18 PM
I found this an interesting interview about the history of money and debt.
 Check it out.

What is Debt? – An Interview with Economic Anthropologist David Graeber

Quote
David Graeber currently holds the position of Reader in Social Anthropology at Goldsmiths University London. Prior to this he was an associate professor of anthropology at Yale University. He is the author of ‘Debt: The First 5,000 Years’ which is available from Amazon.

Interview conducted by Philip Pilkington, a journalist and writer based in Dublin, Ireland.

Philip Pilkington: Let’s begin. Most economists claim that money was invented to replace the barter system. But you’ve found something quite different, am I correct?

David Graeber: Yes there’s a standard story we’re all taught, a ‘once upon a time’ — it’s a fairy tale.
That is a great fact. Well for me, people from poverty lines know much more about debt. Lack of supplies, money and necessity will lead to a debt.
Every people cannot avoid to engage in debt and we cannot control it specially if we have no support or financial source.
564  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen to the banks if people uses cryptocurrencies more than fiat? on: January 11, 2018, 03:55:04 AM
The banks will not operate and some of the investors may pull their money. Therefore it will lead to bankruptcy. I think that is happening as of now but I hope the issue of that will not make a war between banks and crypto enthusiast.
565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in BTC on: January 10, 2018, 03:10:10 PM
I heard that investing in bitcoin is dangerous. How true is this?  Huh
Bitcoin is the top 1 in the list of cryptocurrency and it is impossible that it is a shitcoin. I think it is dangerous in a way that you may not earn profits if its price instantly goes down. I think those people who are saying that did not know the essence of bitcoin or they are scared that bitcoin will fall.
566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRUST OR LOYALTY? on: January 10, 2018, 02:59:38 AM
Which one do you prefer in joining a bounty campaign? I want to hear out opinions so that everybody will encouraged and choose a productive bounty.
I prefer both of them. If you want to become successful with your bounty campaign, you need to trust it first. Trust that in the end of ICO your share will equally given to you. Trust in a way that even the project is not popular and there is an issue behind the project, you will always support. Trust is the most important because eventhough there is an issue or rumors that your campaign you've joined is  scam and the manager is not updating the spreadsheet, you will continue to support.
Trust is equivalent in loyalty for me. If you have trust, you have also loyalty to it. Loyalty makes yourself stronger to hold on even in a relationship, cryptocurrency and other.
567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin function like Ether? on: January 09, 2018, 01:53:32 PM
We hear bitcoin function is like a gold but only better and with higher profitability. But can bitcoin function like Ether? As a token that can  be used in different applications, contracts, a representation for a thing or an object?

I'm still familiarizing myself between the difference of theae two cryptocurrencies
They are both different in terms of using blockchain technology, the day that created and using of other features. Bitcoin was first made than ethereum, the creation of this two cryptocurrency gives them an advantage.
The advantage for the bitcoin is that it is more popular than ethereum. The advantage of ethereum is that, it is designed to fill in the insufficiency of bitcoin. It used smart contracts that is needed in the new projects.
They are both good cryptocurrency and I think if bitcoin is like as a gold, ethereum is silve. They have potentials and reloable to all people.
568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why US government selling bitcoins? How about donating to poor and homeless? on: January 09, 2018, 05:40:35 AM
I don't understand, US government does not support bitcoin, but they are gaining profits from selling bitcoins.
Who keeps the money from selling so many bitcoins?
Why they can't they just donate to some poor people, like who are homeless?

What the US government did was good for all. The seizing  of bitcoins from the person that operated illegally is somehow natural. It could help to maintain the good name of bitcoin from any anomalies.
I think that you are misleading to the topic that you've discussed. What is the relevant of the poor people in the approval of US government to sell the bitcoins?
At the end of the day, the citizen of the America will receive  the seized btc. Don't worry, everyone will receive it.
570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The effect of supply on the performance of a coin on: January 07, 2018, 02:03:43 PM
Hi people,

I'm now into cryptocurrencies for a while (trading and the technical background), but I'm having this question. Maybe you could help me out.

What are the technical implications of a coin having a high or low supply? From a trading perspective, I know that this has an effect on the volatility. However, from a more technical perspective: how does this effect the performance of the coin? Does this even affect the performance? And does this relate to the purpose of the coin?

Thanks!
In my opinion there is no problem when supply a lot or a little. What distinguishes may be only the value of the coin. For me the most important is how the coin can be developed, because when the coin is well developed then the results will be good so as to give confidence to the market share coin. Without good development a coin will only slowly decline and then disappear forever.
There is effect of value in the supply of the coin. I think it is important for the traders and they always first look for the cap.
The development of the coin or the ICO Is important also to notice specially if there are developers who have well experienced in marketing and they are dedicated in the project or coin.
571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: whats the scariest almost mistake youve make transacting in btc on: January 07, 2018, 01:14:45 AM
So far, I did not have a big mistake in transacting btc. Last time, I've successfully received 0.005 btc but it was too long before I've recieved and cash out.
I think the biggest mistake that a newbie like me can do in transacting btc is when he gives private keys or other address. As a newbie, we should first study how transactions work and processed before we transact others or better to ask a veteran person in cryptocurrency in order to give ideas and tips in transaction.
572  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and not Paying Taxes on: January 06, 2018, 11:37:12 PM
I ran across this video a while ago on what can happen to you if you don't pay your taxes.  At some point during your Bitcoin career, the cryptocoin will be converted to fiat and that's how they will catch you.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hf2fNEUPjQw
I think it is good for the crypto enthusiast like us to pay taxes or even fees in using bitcoin or any cryptocurrency. It is natural to pay our tax because we are part of the community and it is required for a citizen to pay taxes.
In my country, taxes are highly increasing in goods but the salary tax decreased. It is good to see that we are paying tax even in a low amount of our earning.
573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin has scaling issues? on: January 05, 2018, 02:06:45 PM
Yes it does. It can only really handle around 7 transactions on average per second. If you're wondering why fees are as high as they are right now, we're currently averaging 101.41 transactions per second.

Visa, in comparison, can handle about 10,000 transactions per second. It's pretty easy to notice the huge gap, and how Bitcoin can't really cater to the mainstream even if it wanted to.

I watched what you have said in youtube already. Thanks to youtube.
Definitely, that is the problem encountering by bitcoin. A slow transaction process. Many people were disappointed in the transaction in bitcoin. The blockchain cannot handle thousands of bitcoin transaction and for us to send bitcoin fast, we need to pay a high transaction fees. Because probably the miners will get some payment in order to prioritize our transaction.
That's why lightning networks made, in order for the payment easily be done between to users with multi-signature key.
The scaling issue in bitcoin has solution.
574  Economy / Economics / Re: Anyone here expecting the US dollar to increase it`s value this year? on: January 05, 2018, 06:22:21 AM
Yes! Many of us are expecting that the price of dollar will increase though we are using bitcoin now. We cannot deny that we are using fiat currency even there is digital currency now.
As of now, the price of usd is stable and I think that bitcoin price doesn't affect the value of usd.
575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin rises after report says early Facebook investor Peter Thiel buy bitcoins on: January 04, 2018, 11:45:28 AM
-Peter Thiel's Founders Fund has bought millions of dollars in bitcoin, The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday, citing sources familiar with the situation.
-Those holdings are worth hundreds of millions of dollars, the newspaper says. It wasn't clear whether Founders had sold any of its holdings, the report says.
-Bitcoin rises more than 11 percent to trade near $14,711, according to Coinbase.

With a famous investor like Thiel patronizing Bitcoin, could this be really a good thing for Bitcoin; would other famous investors do the same?

Source: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/01/02/bitcoin-rises-after-report-says-early-facebook-investor-peter-thiel-is-buying-massive-amounts.html

Another whales bought up bitcoin. Nice to see how the rich people trusted bitcoin so much. I think we can now experience the grow up of cryptocurrency and hopefully all of crypto enthusiast will be succesful.
I think in the upcoming month, bitcoin price will increase because of continuous investing of rich people. Lightning Network will help bitcoin to become more attractive, the real fast, not expensive and reliable transaction. Bitcoin will stays on the top.
576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trading for beginners ! on: January 03, 2018, 08:31:30 AM
Buying and holding coins.......is that the only strategy that the new traders can follow to make profit ??
Buy in a low price, sell at high price. Easily to say but I think its hard to make trading. I want also to know various tips and strategies in trading or investment. Someday if I will earn in signature campaign, I will try to make tradings and hold coins.
I want also to know and learn how to look at market prices and the scale of any cryptocurrency.
I think looking at the site you've entered is a strategy also, in order for us to avoid scam sites.
577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [Bounty] ZEUS-TOKEN - Earn Zeus token for your marketing help on: January 03, 2018, 01:44:36 AM

578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin affecting the Environment on: January 02, 2018, 11:50:33 PM
Of course yes! In simply use of current comes from geothermal enery in mining of bitcoin, it can help to reduce the energy in our mother earth. There are also some projects who helping to take care our mother earth like agricultural projects who are supported by bitcoin and ethereum. I believe that bitcoin affects our nature and it is up to us we will take care or destroy our environment.
579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any recommended Bitcoin and Altcoin Telegram groups? on: January 02, 2018, 02:34:24 PM
Hi everybody, just discovered telegram about a week ago, and searching the web found a couple of bitcoin and exchange channels. But I thought probably there are more or more interesting ones.

Could you recommend any?
I made telegram account in order for me to update in ICO of the campaign I joined. But as long as I use telegram, I found out that there are other altcoins who uses telegram. I think you can look at the old posts in bounty section then look for the exchanges coin and go to their websites.
580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transactions in cellphones on: December 29, 2017, 03:09:40 AM
It could never be, perhaps there are countries that does not like the rule of their government and systems of their banks, that is why they want E-cash to exist. But it is difficult for other countries to adopt cryptocurrency. I believe that a few time to change the currency will become a crisis in the world.
I like the way the currency will change but it is too risky to implement it all over the world.
