Cut a wound in your arm down to the bone and make notches on the bone instead of copper wire.
When the wound heals, these notches might be visible on an x-ray machine.
This might be a good option for an apocalypse. You would be able to fashion your own x-ray machine using parts from old microwaves.

Thank You terrahash!

I just wanted to publicly Thank You for making a substantial license payment to me for the boards you have under way. I thought it would be good for your customers to know that you have been taking the steps to make this "officially endorsed". If you ever need my assistance I'm always here.

Also, what was the date of the group buy?

Thank you Smiley

Hugpuggle, that's adorable

Do you have a website of any kind?

Our pool is called HugPuddle, but HugPuggle has a funky ring to it too Smiley
Our site is merely the mining page at the moment.
http://108.161.129.247:9332
You can both view your miner here and direct your miner here.
We have a web page in the works Smiley We are just alpha-test-tuning right meow.
When we go beta we plan to start a formal thread and release the web page  Cool

Hey Atomsea...will copy this info...may give it a shot, i havent had a lot of luck $ in the past with p2p pools (LTC and FTC)....but always willing to take another look! I may be ordering some usb asics now that price is dropping on them,,,will see if it connects,,,keep us posted in here thx Smiley

Right on Smiley And indeed, p2p pool has had its hiccups, but we have been running smooth since the 13.2 upgrade, along with our virtual server syncing/tuning. We are excited about the work forrestv and the thread [https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=18313.0] have been doing.  We decided that the open-source p2p nature of this work best fit our vision at HugPuddle Smiley

Those usb miners don't do much, but they are fun to play with.

lol, yep im ordering one asic eruptor just to play with,,,

And I hate to admit it - but we got soooo excited when ASICminer came out with the USB asic that we bought one for 2BTC (about 200usd) to yes, "play with."  Reason went out the door! Had to have one Tongue
Boys and their toys!  Hahahaha  Cheesy
But glad we have it - It is the only asic we have to Alpha test HugPuddle at the moment Smiley

Thus we are VERY excited to receive our Terrahash equipment!
We hope Avalon ships soon Smiley

I'm excited!

What mining pools are you guys going to be using?

My friend and I are creating an Asic friendly virtual server P2P pool mining site - HugPuddle.
We are currently conducting Alpha testing.
Here is the link 108.161.129.247:9332
To mine, you use your BTC wallet public key as your -u and anything for your -p. There isn't a login.
We are striving for low latency and low orphans. So far so good. Our curve gets better everyday.
We will be using our 50 gigs on this site Smiley No fees for us, and low fees for you - 98% is yours.
1% to HugPuddle - 1% to the P2P Pool open-source developers.
Our unique angle is our virtual server with additional load-bearing features so there will be no downtime and maximum hashing at all times.
Like I said - we are finishing up Alpha testing and you are free to Beta test it with whatever BTC hashing power you have, be it GPU's or Asics.  We want to make sure it can handle all types.
We currently have GPU and USB ASICminers on it Smiley
A more formal website is in the works Smiley

In response to the Thailand Bitcoin fiasco discussion...
It was only the bank making a recommendation that Bitcoin be illegal - they have NO legal authority to make laws.
Here is a good article that explains it:

It appears the Avalon 3 units are shipping Smiley
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=203745.720

From the speculation that I have garnered - it may be the case that they are waiting to ship out the bulk of their batch 3 units until they will be sending chips out. There were some very upset people when that first Zefir chip order went out - litigation threats even - I suspect Avalon is choosing to appease their unit buyers first (as they ordered first), and will ship out the rest of the chips soon after that.  We can only hope they do so in mass, or we will be waiting some still.

Do I need to get a HUGE BTC on the doors or what?
112  Bitcoin / Pools / My friend and I are creating an Avalon/Asic friendly Bitcoin mining Pool on: August 01, 2013, 10:28:08 AM
My friend and I are creating an Avalon/Asic friendly Bitcoin mining Pool Smiley

We are finishing up Alpha testing and are inviting some early Beta testers.

We are called HugPuddle and give out 98%.
1% goes to HP - 1% goes to the developer of the p2p pool.

We are using a virtual server that is designed to balance load and give optimal performance for Asics and their unique power capabilities.

Point your miners here if you are interested:
108.161.129.247:9332

Use your BTC address as your User Name.
Your password can be anything - there is no login.

Make sure your BTC addy is your User Name or the entire hashrate will go to the pool.

That same URL can be used in the URL box to check on the status of your account - just look for your BTC address Smiley

We have Avalon chips on the way and are soon to be thrashing Asics style too.
In the meantime, if anyone wants to try our low cost site please feel free Smiley

Thanks for trying us out! PM me for any specific questions - we hope to have our own thread up really soon.

Peace.

114  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2500GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: July 30, 2013, 05:52:37 AM
My friend and I started a p2pool BTC node and every 65 minutes or so we get about 4 minutes of downtime.
See the graph here:
http://108.161.129.247:9332/static/

What could be causing these downspikes?

Thanks for the great idea/community everyone!

Looking at making K16 and K1 kits - one problem I have is with duty/tax on importing into Thailand only to be re-exported again. Between tax and shipping it adds a hefty cost penalty.

It occurred to me that there may be a US-based potential partner out there who wants to make a fee for part splitting ("kitting") and shipping. That is, you would receive bulk reels of parts, count them (actually measure them against printed guides), cut tape, and place them into bins, and then dump the bins into ziploc bags. Then ship them to customers within USA. Such an arrangement would result in quicker delivery and lower final cost for DIY customers. I don't know what the profit on that would be - not huge, but something to make it worth some time cutting, packing and going to the post office. It avoids a whole lotta duty/intl shipping issues.

Serious interested persons should PM me. It's probably not going to be a huge qty.

Most people in the world don't live in the US. Thailand is probably closer to the heart of the action than the US would be.
That's true but almost all my orders are from USA. So I doubt that the action is closer to here, and the main problem for me is that my best ordering source is from USA. I've tried dealing locally and even via Singapore and it's just not viable, for various reasons. I usually have to order from USA to get decent service.

Only 4 orders from Australia and Japan, are actually closer to me. A few more are from UK and Europe. The rest are from USA.

This Minnesota nerd is in.

See more details and pics here:

http://fargo.craigslist.org/cto/3953357953.html

Note the minor gas leak - that will be fixed prior to sale - it will also have a tune-up.
The engine and transmission are in terrific shape - it was maintained by an airplane mechanic for years.
The interior and exterior are also in good shape - the exterior only needs some minor body work.
It was previously light green - it has been painted red.

This sale is for 28BTC obo for the car, and then the estimated delivery cost within the continental United States. (depends on how far from here you are, it will be at-cost, gas/taxi/bus/amtrak - whatever it takes - estimated 1-4BTC)
Yes, I will drive the Bug to you!!!
You need only be reasonably near a bus location or Amtrak. I will take that back home  Smiley

Keep in mind, if you are down south - you can resell this vehicle (with some simple body work first) for a lot more than 5k. They are known to go for 9-10k
Up in the midwest these vehicles just don't get the dollar amount they are worth - we are looking to just convert to some BTC and move on Smiley

Thanks for looking  Cool
