1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next BTC Crash? When? on: November 26, 2017, 05:19:26 PM
The question you should be asking is bitcoin going to be higher a year from now? if your question is yes start investing now and investing a set amount every 2 weeks or monthly etc and you will be happy for a year if it goes up or down as long as its higher a year from now you will be happy.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next BTC Crash? When? on: November 26, 2017, 05:12:48 PM
Don't just sit back and watch as it goes higher,,, dollar cost average put in 25%-50% of what you have available to invest and reinvest weekly, monthly etc with a set dollar amount so if it does fall lower you will be getting in at a lower price.

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth to pay $8200 for 1 BTC if you are a newbie? on: November 23, 2017, 04:52:54 PM
If you think it will go over 8,200 in the future and also that it may fall in the near future devise a system where on a certain day say every friday invest say

$ 200 if the price is less  9,000
$ 300 if the price is less  8,000
$ 400 if the price is less  7,000
$ 500 if the price is less  6,000
$ 600 if the pirce is less  5,000

adjust the price investing to your total amount you can invest,, this way when the price drops you will be buying more and when it hits say 10,000 you will be looking good.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit2x returning as per coinbase email on: November 17, 2017, 04:16:05 AM
Yeh I got this also!

Dear Coinbase customer,
There have been a number of developments with Bitcoin Segwit2x since our last update. No action is required and all funds stored on Coinbase remain safe.
Last week, the Segwit2x development team announced they would no longer continue with the project. In addition, a significant portion of miners and other community leaders withdrew their support for the fork. However, despite these developments, a small number of miners may attempt to go forward with a fork.
We wanted to provide clarity about the potential outcomes of the fork and what Coinbase will do in each scenario.
To protect customer funds, Coinbase will disable Bitcoin sends and receives at 2 am Pacific Time on November 17th, and disable buys and sells an hour before the fork, which is currently predicted to occur between 6am to 8am Pacific Time on November 17th. All functionality will be re-enabled shortly afterwards.
Scenario 1: Network is unusable
If support for the fork remains at current levels or decreases, the Bitcoin2x network will be unusable. Coinbase will not support withdrawals or trading as it will not be possible to move these assets. Currently we believe this is the most likely scenario.
If the network gains support at a later date, we will enable Bitcoin2x withdrawals from the platform.
Scenario 2: Network is usable
If transactions are being confirmed at a reasonable speed and miner support is strong, we will allow Coinbase customers to withdraw Bitcoin2x. We will not immediately enable buys and sells as previously stated, but we may enable them at a later date.
We will keep customers updated through our blog.
Thank you,
Coinbase Team

9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This is how I am investing to become a cryptomaniac! on: November 15, 2017, 07:00:43 PM
I invest a descent amount in the stock market and my play at the casino. I am a very disciplined investor and yes I will invest what I showed you each week so if the price is down I am getting more percentages of bitcoin. Now dont get me wrong if I have some real good days at the casino I will be investing more but Im not just going to dump 25,000 into bitcoin at once just a bit at a time so I will be ready for any correction that may happen.

Dummy, its not ridicolous,,, you buy more as the price decreases its not predicting the price! Do you understand dollar cost averaging? And yes I am an advantage player against the casino and other wagers and I also have 4 other sources of income all legit.

Yeh its just dollar cost averaging and I am just hoping that btc will remain where it is now or higher a year from now. So if it does end around the same in a years time i will love it dropping on occasions. As far as me making the money its coming from the casino (advantage player here) so its just extra income from gambling so if i lose it its alright. Good Luck to all
