0.98 isn't working out for me.
Back to 0.97.
Do you have any idea why KNC removed 0.97 from their website?
I wasn't aware of that Shocked
It's a good thing I keep a copy on my computer. Here's a link for those how want to download firmware 0.97 : http://1t4pro.1fichier.com/en/index.html

0.98 isn't working out for me.
Back to 0.97.

All the firmware's were run at least 24 hours without any reboot.
For that reason firmware 0.90 to 0.93 aren't listed.

Tried out 0.98 a few hours. I had a decrease of performance 281GH/s to 260GH/s.
Back to 0.97.

It seems that miners that are working well with previous firmware don't work well with 0.98.
And miners that are not working with previous firmware work well with 0.98.

All,

We have noticed an increase in failures with our boxes when the firmware has been updated to 0.97.

There has been a bug identified in this firmware which can cause drop in performance in certain circumstances . There is a fix right now undergoing development but it’s not quite ready to release yet as it must undergo more testing overnight.

We are very aware that our customers are waiting for this hotfix to rescue some boxes who’s performance has dropped after applying 0.97.

The 0.98 release which is scheduled for release tomorrow will contain

1, A solution to address the bug which can cause dramatically reduced performance.

2, A bug fix which will stop the slowly reducing performance over time,

3, A new version of the CGMiner binary provided to us by the CGMiner developer’s

The update will be available tomorrow form our website,

SWEET!!!
Will it be a install/apply with no possibility to go back to the actual version of CGMiner ?

How do we set up the KNCs to mine alt-coins? Care to elaborate?
Download PPcoin Client
Install PPcoin client to a windows PC
Run once ppcoin client and quit
If your PC is Windows 7 goto Users/your user name/AppData/Roaming/PPcoin and create ppcoin.conf as follows

rpcuser=anyname
rpcpassword=anypassword
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcallowip=your pc ip
rpcport=9902
daemon=1
server=1
listen=1
gen=0

Then restart your ppcoin client and let download the whole block chain.
After that goto your miner and point to
your pc ip:9902
anyname (as above in ppcoin.conf)
anypassword
Restart cgminer, ensure via ssh that is working and hashing and wait
Average block finding time is 4-8 hours for a Saturn (each block equals to 0,41 BTC)

That is how to solo mine PPCoins.
For the rest, nobody posted about it.

No, I won't.
If someone wants to, go ahead Wink

Why would you want to mine Unobtanium (UNO) coins ?
It's not profitable versus BTC. Nothing is : http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency/?sha256

Seems the Jupiter that I am in a Group Buy with (Aug 2nd order) just arrived last week and is hashing at 315Ghash/s. Looks like a chip is bad or the like.

Any good stories out there of KNC shipping out a replacement board or the like and not asking for the unit back with an RMA and such?

Thanks,
IAS

Sorry I have to withdraw from this group buy. I hope this is not a problem.
I will take his place in this group buy (1 coin).
I've contacted steelboy by private message.

Can I somehow override my difficulty at the pool?
I am running a KNC Jupiter with avg hashrate of 480 GHash/s but it seems there are faulty cores and eligius shows only 400Ghahs/s.
So I am trying to tweak it now.

Will lowering difficulty from 127 to 63 help mitigate HW errors?

You have insane hardware error rate.

As for diff setting - in fact I would set it to 256
diff setting is not working yet.
