601  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: bitcoin prices not rising! should we trade or hold? on: January 22, 2018, 11:24:31 PM
bitcoin prices will not always rise, sometimes the value will drop or remain stagnant for some time all because people are bringing in and taking out money from their crypto havens and sometimes prices will crash a little because of unfavourable legislation
Dropping down of bitcoin price is not means that we need to shift into other coins. Holding is the best strategy we can do, trusting with this coin is not hard to do. If you remembered on past 5years bitcoin have no a lot of movement with their price. But time comes and this coin get their break and raised up too fast up to the moon. We need to be patience waiting for the right time before sell it. Actually their current price now was still high value, compared with their original value.

5 years ago bitcoin wasn't anywhere near its peak. However, now it has reached its peak, because even grandmas are trying to get in on some bitcoin action Smiley

Taking a long position with bitcoin is not such a good idea anymore. All indicators show that the chances of it doubling in price are very slim. You can make much more by arbitraging coins..

Bought 1BTC on Bitfinex for $10,454

Even if I bring my own security personnel, what am I going to do with so much cash on hand? Do you realize that I will never pass the border with a suitcase of benjamins. Not a single bank in dubai would let me make such large cash deposit.

Make an easy 1.5% on LTC/BTC pair, then rinse and repeat.

Cryptocurrency arbitrage refers to buying cryptocoins on an exchange where the price is lower and simultaneously selling the altcoin at an exchange where the price is relatively higher, ultimately profiting from a temporary difference in prices.

Who is in for some arbitrage?

1.5 months later paypal finally gave birth.

Here is the face of the scammer:

Apparently, the eBay buyer whom i confirmed called the credit card company and submitted a dispute on paypal. Since sale of a bitcoin via ebay isn't covered by the paypal seller protection policy, they took my money to cover their looses.

WORD OF ADVISE: STAY AWAY FROM PAYPAL!

It might have something to do with: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1330261.0

I know that. In 2016, I had a break with Bitstamp, after stealing the coins from them. Then sent to the e-mail that users from Russia can work with the exchange. In the spring of 2017, before I resumed my work with Bitstamp, I approached the question of what I got the answer for - we are working, there are no problems. I do not think that the problem is this.

if they're having issues with the russian government, I honestly don't think that they're going to openly disclose it. Frankly, I would never rely on what customer support has to say, after all its the bottom of the food chain.  they would be the last to know about anything  / any pending deals with the government. Support reps are live robots, they good for reading between the lines and thats it! I personally never rely on anything that support reps has to say. At the end of the day its your word against his... what you gonna do when things turn around not in your favor?... go out and look for him:)

615  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I want to buy Bitcoin for $ Cash in Moscow on: January 12, 2018, 02:52:40 PM
Meeting up in Russia for a bitcoin transaction can be a bit challenging. Safety and security are foremost concerns. There were situations in the past when sellers met up and were forced to transfer coins under threat of harm or even worse. Refusing to transfer coins might even lead to being assaulted. Scammers have been known to meet the buyer in locations where they have the upper hand, often with several heavy handed individuals involved.

Bitcoin is officially outlawed in Russia which implies any situation where BTC is involved might not get any support from the Russian authorities. Instead, there is a chance or risk of actually being seen as the criminal.

Completing the transaction online with escrow protection might be the safest way to do this deal.

The wikipedia man again with his 2 useless cents Smiley

The scammer guy angry for being exposed again and again.

On the one hand, he posts garbage admonishing other members for buying from random people here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=913485.msg27004598#msg27004598

Because of course he wants them to buy from his scam exchange WITHOUT ESCROW:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2584911.msg26996122#msg26996122

One false move and it’s a red trust. I can be quite stubborn in stalking and pursuing scammers, mind you. Then you can be sure victims will be forewarned as early as possible before making any disastrous transaction on your shady website.

What am I being exposed for exactly?  Lol, mate you're fucking paranoid and delusional!

Hey man... they're watching you!

619  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: FROM THE HUGE FEES I ALMOST LOST 200€ ΙΝ SIMPLE TRANSACTIONS - HELP on: January 09, 2018, 01:53:50 AM
The fees has gone up tremendously! This is primarily due to increasing demand which resulted in growing btc price. While the number of transactions is growing, the size of the block remains the same (1 mb), with that in mind it now takes longer to get a transaction confirmed, because miners aren't idiots... they prioritize those who paid a higher fee.

Unless the community decides to increase the size of the block, the fees will continue to grow and confirmations will continue to be delayed. The odds of that are slim, because 60% of the community consists of greedy miners  Grin, Using bitcoin for conducting small transactions has become obsolete! I would suggest using ltc or ripple  for amounts under 1k.
