1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 [ANN][ICO] BITFENCE - REMOVE HACKERS FROM YOUR NETWORK on: May 10, 2018, 09:02:40 PM
I have checked the Bitfence Twitter and found a post and a picture of a sting miner. It looks very small and will protect you from hackers while earning crypto. I want this tiny sting miner now.
https://twitter.com/BitFence_/status/994395208967249920

This is awesome to see, I'm glad the team have published and given us a insight as to what this miner actually looks like. I can't wait for the release, I myself; will most definitely be getting one.
I'm in love with this Stingminer. I like the fact it's small and not a huge bulky miner. Slick design and easy to mount or place anywhere in the house.

That was something which attracted me, the size of it is fantastic. Similar to a Raspberry Pi; easily can disclose it in a hidden location. Also the fact you can still mine on it from such a small system and generate some tokens is fantastic. Great workj
My friend made a miner once with a Raspberry Pi it did not last very long, how are we so sure that this will last long?

You need to read up on the whitepaper.  It's software running on a Pi, it is not mining coins like an ASIC.  The honeypot earns you coins by 'mining' hackers.
Love the idea of "MINING HACKERS".  You lure them in, trap them, and then update all subscribers to beware the Hacker you just caught.  And, you get paid for it.  Seems pretty cool.

I just stumbled upon the MEW breach situation! This is why we need more ways to protect ourselves! Bitfence will assist the crypto community on that matter.  Cool Cool Cool

The MEW breach was of the Public DNS's, not their websites servers being hacked. Amazon/Google's DNS were poisoned for around two hours.

True.  BitFence may not be the perfect answer to this specific problem, but it does aim to close an existing gap in perimeter security defenses. Perhap they can find ways to identify and alert their routers to direct people away from affected dns servers?

One of the features of Bitfence is that; if a hacker attacks someone who is part of Bitfence network he will be tagged as a hacker at once and he will not be able to attack anyone else within bitfence network.
This kind of service has been missing from security vendors capabilities for a long time. Nice to see it will be addressed!

There are some great technologies like this that help us take care of our planet.  Projects like this help remind me that it will take many smart choices by as many people as possible to have the positive impact we want to have on the world ecosystem.  That's why I like the idea of being involved in this.  It's one more small thing I can do...
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Article: US State Senators Introduce Bill Exempting Tokens From Securities Laws on: February 03, 2018, 02:09:53 AM

The eight page accessible and very readable bill says: “A developer or seller of an open blockchain token shall not be deemed the issuer of a security… if the token has not been marketed by the developer or seller as an investment; the token is exchangeable for goods or services; and the developer or seller of the token has not entered into a repurchase agreement of any kind or entered into an agreement to locate a buyer for the token.”
Interesting. Except the tokens goes directly into use without any ICO, I sincerely doubt how any company doing an ICO will circumnavigate the quoted clause above. This is because ICOs are all about raising money which the contributors of such money will definitely see as some form of investment.

Hmm.  I think that last part is indicating that the seller doesn’t intend to locate a secondary buyer for the original buyer to sell to.   This may mean that utility tokens will not be able to seek out “official exchange listings”, but rather will need to leave it to the token holders to make any exchange decisions on their own.

https[Suspicious link removed]mpting-tokens-securities-laws

Is this the start of establishing a legal class of Utility Tokens that will be protected from intensive regulation?  How do you think this will impact the Ethereum Blockchain and future ICO, if the law is passed?  Will you participate in ICO/TGE where speculation and future price or value is not allowed to be discussed in official channels, or will this seem to much of a red flag for you as a token owner/buyer?
This sounds like the beginning of a beneficial regulation, and though purists would say any regulation is detrimental for crypto, I believe otherwise... regulation means legitimizing this space in the minds of large investors.
The large number of scams and Ponzi schemes have caused many to lose money at times. If crypto always remained pure to the initial intentions I suppose regulation and laws would not be necessary.   But where anything of monetary value trades hands it seems that someone may try to find ways to gain illicit advantage over another.  For mass adoption to occur, it seems some form of government intervention will also occur.  This article seems to indicate the government is ready to recognize that legitimate utility tokens are not the same thing as a currency and therefore should not be treated as currency.  I think that’s a good step in the right direction. But currencies are another matter and there is much yet to be decided as the first laws are enacted to define legislative intent.

Be smart.  Diversify. Watch for market trends.  Don’t buy near an all time high.  Don’t sell near a long term low.  Markets move in cycles.  Learn to recognize and use them to your advantage.

So, the NEXT token is trading now.  Should we expect to see it on CMC soon?

I am looking forward to ETN trading and the growth of the platform.  Very hopeful for all involved!
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in ICO, still promising? on: February 03, 2018, 12:56:49 AM
If you're expecting to gain from every ICO that is out there, that won't happen. As you said most of the ICO's out there right now are useless, they don't offer anything significant and that's why they are valued eventually to zero. But that's up to you to know before you invest your money in it. You can read the project's whitepaper and talk with the community of even founders about it, so there is no excuse of getting scammed. Of course you can't foresee everything (see what happened with Tezos, who would have thought that), but you can evaluate a project carefully enough to be at least somewhat more sure that it won't scam you of your hard earned money, I guess it's a learning curve and eventually people will understand how it works.

Many ICO are funding start up companies.  Many start up companies fail no matter where they get their funding from. Looking for a track record of success in the founders can be helpful, but still is no guarantee.  But great risk can bring great rewards....or not.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Electroneum a SCAM??? on: February 03, 2018, 12:52:24 AM
Electroneum did have some of the biggest losses out of all the mainstream coins this week. I see it recovering a little, but it is going to take a bit for it to come back from the 50%+ losses over the last 7 days. Do I think it is a scam? Of course not. This is a legit project with a legit team and a legit product. I just don't think their launch had very good timing due to the market crash, but it isn't like they could have predicted this.
I agree with you.  I also think there is a legitimate need to see the team deliver results.  It takes time to do what they are trying to do, and I don’t mind being patient. A long and steady delivery against expectations will build more confidence and long term reliability for the platform and the coin.  I am happy to HODL while the team builds something solid.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: If you achieve your target in crypto field then what you are going to do next? on: February 03, 2018, 12:49:28 AM
How about travel.  See the world. Retire from working for someone else and only work on what I want to work on.  Find ways to help alleviate human suffering.  Help people to help themselves.  Be more connected.  Maybe I’ll start doing all this now.  It all sounds like good ideas.   Smiley
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in ICO, still promising? on: February 03, 2018, 12:42:59 AM
How can you make sure you invest if it is safe? It is difficult to choose who is legitimate or scam because we know that we have news on people that many of the ICOs are scams so it's best to first share the projects so we can make sure we earn tokens in every project.

Well, for one, you need to make sure to do enough research to know if the people running the Ico are legitimate business people.  Too many ICO are simply developers with a desire to make something.  I always look for a business plan and the business background to effectively implement that plan.  This can be true for both coins and tokens.  In the end, if it sounds to good to be true then it probably is.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2018 The year of the altcoin on: February 03, 2018, 12:32:11 AM
I wonder...could 2018 be the year of the utility token?  This article might be helpful in that way, as perhaps utility tokens will escape the heavy hand of taxation and regulation which seems poised to hit all crypto hard .

in two or three days etn is worth only $ 0.01. Everyone will sell now and try to buy dollars. if there is no crypto in one month, people will have their dollars safely. and dear little dollar than no token  Grin one week -52%

That’s as much doom and gloom as I have heard in a long time.  I was surprised to see it as low as .05 USD, but it is climbing again, along with the rest of the market, so I expect it had avoided this demise, at least for the present.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Altcoins are dying !!! on: February 03, 2018, 12:27:49 AM
just woke up on this massive dump !

what do you think it's causing this ? and do you think this is the best time to buy ? or it will dump even more   Shocked

for the holder this is the right time to buy as the prices continuous to dump.but as what happens many time since the crypto has created.after the dump Is recovery and sometimes followed by pumps.so never lose hope and just wait for a week of months then you will see how this coins recovers and may get over their last price before the dump

Dump is an interesting term.  I like the term correction myself.  Much of crypto value is based on expectations, and sometimes expectations outpace real growth.  Real growth needs needs real measurable output of some kind. Something that may be hard to define in some crypto currencies or even tokens.  This will be a challenge as the crypto space matures.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Titanium - World's First Decentralised Cloud Services Provider 🚀 on: February 03, 2018, 12:20:38 AM
This project looks cool.
But I never heard the news about the Titanium in China,so I missed it totally!
Looking forward to the mainnet will be online in time!

With the market down today it’s a good idea to look around and see what can be picked up on sale.  TBIS seems to have a bright future.  Definitely worth checking out.  Just do your due diligence research, as always.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] FortKnoxster - Telegram on steroids. Sale 19 FEB. EARLY REGISTRATION on: February 03, 2018, 12:16:49 AM
I still am looking for how a USA citizen can ever participate.  Will it be available?

US citizens will be able to use the platform as normal. It was just due to the SEC rules they could not participate in the initial token sale.

Can you elaborate?  Would I need to buy tokens at exchange in order to participate in the platform?  What of all my FB friends and family, without whom I probably won’t leave FB?  How do they learn of this and take part?
