81  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: eCash.io - unbreakable cold wallet storage service on: November 23, 2013, 03:03:05 PM
Don't mind but Tradefortress said the same thing. I doubt people are going to trust these random cold wallet sites.

It's 100 times better to store funds in a paper wallet than on a web wallet, atleast you don't have to wait for 12 hours to access your funds and you also don't have to worry about site getting hacked or something else.

A wise man said, If you aren't the sole holder of your private key, you don't own any bitcoins.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $5.00 bounty to the first person who can convince me not to buy ppc (reopened) on: November 23, 2013, 08:46:11 AM
Don't Buy, because every altcoin's price is linked to BTC somehow.
If BTC wil go UP they will go up, If BTC will go down they will go down, then why not Just invest in bitcoins.

If you are buying them with USD it's ok but still it's not better.
83  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitBet Stole ~$7,000 from me (10 BTC) on: November 22, 2013, 06:01:55 PM
OP has done mistake by trusting and making a big amount bet with bitbet.us.

But whatever it's morally wrong to keep someone's hard earned money just because he forgot something.
We are humans and humans do mistakes.

@MPOE, Did you have ever seen someone keeping other peoples car because they forgot to read "no parking" warning?

No.

It's also sad that a staff member is taking side of accused party.

All the people who think that MOPE should keep this users BTC are pathetic assholes, I will hope someone will do the same thing with them someday.

I have read whole thread and seriously people are acting like 12 year old kids.
84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lenovo fingerprint reader for cold storage? on: November 22, 2013, 02:46:50 PM
I'm sure a fingerprint scanner would be pretty safe to stop somebody booting up your laptop, but couldn't somebody just take the harddrive out and then put it in a external caddy and then have access to your wallet?

I'd just go with storing it on a usb or paper wallet.

Even if someone is able to boot or not, if he have that laptop, OP's will loose his coins unless he makes backup somewhere which defeats the purpose of making a seperate cold wallet.

I mean for example, if hdd got crashed, laptop got stolen or if anything happend with his laptop. He will loose his bitcoins.
For safety he needs to make a backup.. something like paperwallet.
Then why not just make some paper wallets and use them as cold storage instead of buying a expensive paperweight.
85  Other / Meta / Re: This forum should be called cryptotalk.org on: November 22, 2013, 02:38:29 PM
Srs
I agree

Either move it to cryptotalk.org or delete the Altcoin subforum

I like option #2!

But option 3 is much much better than the other two.
Which is BAN OP
86  Other / Off-topic / Re: Excessive exercise is more unhealthy than lack of exercise on: November 22, 2013, 02:32:08 PM
I prefer repetition at smaller weights than trying to lift excessive weights

Everything in the right dosages...

You are doing it wrong son.

Low weights, high reps = cutting
High weight, low reps = bulking.
Remember it always and see effects in some weeks.

87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lenovo fingerprint reader for cold storage? on: November 22, 2013, 11:03:24 AM
A wise man once said that a fingerprint is more of a username than a password.

This.  To op understand that biometrics aren't deterministic.  The laptop records your fingerprint and then when a finger is swiped it compares the two and if they are close enough it decrypts the password and logs the user in.

Key thing is the software decrypts the password, as in the decryption key is in the software, as in someone could potentially extract said decryption key.

Or in worst case he can simply cut op's finger and use it to decrypt password.
Or he can put gun in op's secret places and ask him to finger his laptop.

Fingerprint security is safe but what about you and your finger op?
88  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Best client for importing multiple private keys? on: November 22, 2013, 10:57:56 AM
Electrum is much easy. Import private key, send funds, freeze that key, import new one, and repeat the process. Or simply import all keys at once.

But that's not automated.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lenovo fingerprint reader for cold storage? on: November 22, 2013, 10:53:00 AM
Laptop with fingerprint security... nah that would be too much for a cold storage.
Its much better to print a paperwallet and store it in a safe place.
90  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 3 TH/s Bitcoin Mining Hardware KL-YUG by KotakLabs on: November 22, 2013, 10:07:21 AM
The KL-PARISHRAM processors we are developing, run at 1.4Ghz Clock Frequency, yeilding up about 500GH/s. One unit will comprise of 6 such processors, hence giving up blazing 3TH/s.

Further details regarding the product are given at our website : http://kotaklabs.com/products/kl-yug/

Who's manufacturing processors? You lol
Theres a big difference in developing and producing working product.

From what i see you are just trying to get funds and probably will go away with them.

Oh btw who are the lead developers, what kind of education, experiance they have.
Dont tell me you guys used to overclock cpu to 100x and sell them for 1000 bucks in 1998

95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safe to give wallet backup to a friend? on: November 20, 2013, 09:29:56 PM
It's safe as long as password is strong, bitcoins quantity is low and your friend is "Trusted".

Otherwise Money can change people. If someone knows he can get a big amount easily and just a password is stopping him to get money, He can drug you, blackmail you etc. to get password.
96  Economy / Services / Re: Looking to buy software installs on: November 20, 2013, 09:08:43 PM
I'm confused on what you mean by "software installs."

*Installation of a "spyware" kind of software on different machines.

What will the multisig treasurer set up look like?

I think that the treasurers will be split into several multisig setups with 4 or 6 treasurers each, and each such multisig will require 50% agreement in order to make spends. (I'm more worried about treasurers disappearing than trying to steal the money.)

Well then just choose most active and reliable users who can provide multiple communication methods and have some other business running for their living.
