Has anybody tried the latest driver 17.11.4?
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: November 29, 2017, 07:36:23 PM
I haven't be able to get up to speed with the thread lately.

I am running two XMR rigs, 4 Vega 64 each. Windows Fall Creator's, August 23 blockchain drivers.
Total hashrate is 16060H/s (~2007 per card)
Using hellae's 1100MHz regedit (1407/900, 1100/905 probably)
xmr-stak-amd with 1932/1932 threads on each card
~1525watts from the wall (220v) with Corsair RM1000is

Is there any benefit switching to xmr-stak or cast-xmr?
Can I get any more efficiency out of them?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there, are you actually saying that you have 4 GPU that make 4000hashes each? I am hashing 16300 with 8 GPU on my rig. How is this possible, how did you do it?

Your power consumption is not accurate. Its software that tells you with a large inaccurate margin of error what you use from the power supply but not what you draw from the wall. Usually you have to add about 15-20% more. So your score is not good.
I mine rock solid 24/7 with Nicehash for over a week now with 2015-2025kh/s per card. My power draw from the wall is 1800 for the total mining rig with an OC core i7 7700k and a buch of staff plug in into it, its also my daily driver. Yeah I know 8 GPU daily driver WTF, but thats what I have now. So I use approximately 200W for the CPU and the rest of the stuff and 1600W for the GPUs. So about 200W power draw from the wall per gpu. Your would be much higher than mine about 225-230 I think. Bare in mind I dont use reg.edit just the wattman settings. Power draw -20% GPU stage 5 Min/Max 1530Mhz and Memoru Stage 3 Min/Max 1100 1500RPM Fan. No registry no undervolting. Just wattman

Can you show just the SGMiner window?  Nicehash window is blocking.

Immposible settings come truth Smiley after 10 days tweaking i find this option Wink
congrats! time to squeeze out some more hash from it! )) go with hbm and socc oc ))

Any ideas?

1.8.2.0 Pre-release 2
@DillonN DillonN released this 4 hours ago

This is a pre-release intended to test the new version before it is released. Please restrict feedback and discussion to issue #487. This version may be buggy and most users probably want to download 1.8.1.5 below.

Changes in this pre-release

Drop Xmr-Stak-CPU in favour of new Xmr-Stak miner
Cryptonight mining for CPU, AMD, and NVIDIA
As many are aware, gives boosts for Vega cards
Due to config system, works a bit differently than most miners for tweaking (Wiki page)
BETA Threaded benchmarking
Benchmark devices simultaneously
ClaymoreCryptonight_old and Prospector have some issues currently, recommended to benchmark them manually for now
Fixes from 1.8.1.5, and some from upcoming 1.8.1.6
Overall 1.8.2.0 Changes

BETA Auto-tuning of ClaymoreDual intensity values (-dcri)
Allows benchmarking of many values for -dcri and saves all of them, using the most profitable during mining
Window to show/edit speeds for different dcri values as well as which will be benchmarked, opened by right clicking on the algorithm in the benchmark window
Enabled for each algorithm by right click menu in benchmark window (disabled by default)
NOTE: can take a very long time to benchmark many dcri values. Fortunately the miner will mine to your wallet if a valid one is entered, so you will be paid for the benchmarks
Currently ignores existing -dcri extra launch parameters and will overwrite existing speeds once enabled (suggested to keep a backup of 1.8.1.4 configs for pre-release in case you want to roll back)
Selected dcri values to benchmark are completely customizable
Ability to copy tuning settings to identical GPUs (works like existing copy all settings feature, but just for tuning settings/speeds)
Detailed guide coming soon
Drop Xmr-Stak-CPU in favour of new Xmr-Stak miner
Cryptonight mining for CPU, AMD, and NVIDIA
As many are aware, gives boosts for Vega cards
Due to config system, works a bit differently than most miners for tweaking (wiki page soon)
BETA Threaded benchmarking
Benchmark devices simultaneously
ClaymoreCryptonight_old and Prospector have some issues currently, recommended to benchmark them manually for now
Benchmark window now resizable

I am a mining God. I have 8x Vega 64 Liquid Editon 5x Sapphire 1x MSI 1x XFX 1x Powercolor, Core I7 7700k Asus B250 19gpu Mining Expert, Version 7C Red Risers, 16GB DDR4 Gskill 3200 CL 14-14-14, 250 Samsung EVO SSD, 3x EVGA Platinum 850W 1x EVGA GOLD 850W. Power consumption is 210W per card 1800 for the whole Rig using Wattman settings at GPU clock at stage 5 MIN/MAX at 2000 hashes and 160W per card 1400 for the RIG using Wattman settings at stage 3 MIN/MAX but at 1800 hashes. Running 24/7 for a week now.  Ask me anything!!!!!!

The point was to be funny I did not mean it seriously. I all I wanted is to engage in a productive conversation how I can help someone and how can someone help me improve!!!!

which brand of vega 64 provides maximum performance? i dont care about power consumption.
Its worth getting only the liquid edition. The brands dont matter, there are all the same cards under the hood and all the same hashrates. However on the MSI card box states that the card can last 10-12 years of heavy use due to superb capacitors, but I think that its the sam card and board from all the manufactures anyway.

Hi there. I have 8X Vega 64 Liquid Edition 6xSapphire 1xMSI 1xXFX. I use the Fall Creators Update Win 10/64bit PRO. I use latest drivers 17.11.1, I run on Core I7 7700k @ 4.5Ghz, ASUS B250 Mining Expert 19GPU Motherboard, 250GB SSD 130GB Page file Samsung, 4GB of Ram(Upgrading to 16gb Gskill 3200MHZ CL 14-14-14-32 next week) And finally I am using Risers revision 7C (RED). 3X EVGA 850W EPlatinum 1X EVGA 850W Gold. I am running Nicehash Cryptonight stable 24/7 7 days a week. 1370W from the wall total system power consumption using settings in Wattman GPU clock P2 Min/Max 1299Mhz MEM Clock 1100 1500RPM -15% power limit 40C Temp in London UK in a room with open Window. I am Using internal GPU Intel 630 running on HDMI cable. I am getting a total fixed 1380 HASH from each card stable and fixed solid. 11050 in total and it does not fluctuates. Feel free to ask me any questions. MY questions are. will I see any effect once I upgrade my memory to 16GB? And should I put 20GB page file per card totaling 160GB instead of the 130GB Now that I have. Turning HBCC off/on or turning GPUs from the device manager or downgrading to Blockchain drivers does nothing for me. Thank you.
