3 years ago.... damn. i found out about bitcoin in 2010, thought it was a cool idea and forgot about. then saw charts from 2011 and figured it was dead. didn't get around to taking it seriously until 2013....

Rebound from 340 low more and more looks like impulse. And if so, I think price is currently in 4 of 1 wave from 340 low.
nice! i actually almost caught myself pumping my fist when i read this from lucif. any thoughts on where the last subwave of 1 might land? 700-800 area?

Well, a lot people got paid and some didn't. It is a bit vague, will add the * again to the campaign.
Yeah, they're really shady bro. They are, but I always got paid so I am sticking with them because their rates are great. I would join FXO if possible, but since they are full I can't. is updown.bt full then or not? he said he was putting a cap on the max number of participants, but who has any idea how many are participating? i suggested to someone that they join, but then realized it wasn't clear.

*in practice* -- none. i'm from california (usa), los angeles specifically. the police here are cowboys. they do what they want, they write up the report the way they want, and all the other cops look the other way. i've seen some horrible things that cops have done. once saw a county sheriff's deputy nearly beat a man to death 5-6 years ago.

often you have to accumulate many, many "micro" payments before being sent a "real" payment (that can be seen on the blockchain), when it comes to these little faucet sites. just my two cents.
|
|
|
Hello, I'm new to BitCoins and I wanted to know if faucet pages are really worth the time?
generally, they are never worth it based on the current market value. but if you were doing faucets in 2010, it would be totally worth it now. ditto 2011 and 2012. so if bitcoin's value keeps rising, you may find that it will have been worth it. but if you are looking for a quick buck now -- nope.

i always liked 777coin as far as a more full-featured casino. for dice games, my favorite site is still Primedice. but i can't say that i have tried all that many other sites.

We are still at around 50% off its all time high.
Predicting it to make new high is pre-mature at this point.
i agree. we are up against massive resistance at the 680-710 level, and we keep getting rejected. and there is a LOT of margin longs on BFX right now. when the bulls get tired enough, i think this could come down pretty hard.

i think some people are getting ahead of themselves thinking this rally will hit $1000 right away. but i certainly think we will pass $1000 sometime this year, and possibly make a new ATH even. time will tell.

totally agree with OP. this should definitely happen. the sig campaign threads are really of quite a different nature than most services, and the popularity of the campaigns drowns out basically everything else in the forum.
|
|
|
Btw, I haven't seen a single thread for the sales of a forum account. Maybe I'm not in the right areas. Link to a few examples?
They pop up almost daily in the Digital Goods section. There's quite an in demand market for them since the signature restrictions came into place. There's actually a couple of users who even act as account brokers buying and selling 'em on. Subud seems to be the most popular and longest running buyer/seller: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=292662.0i believe Subud! was recently banned (not for trading accounts AFAIK). i heard it had something to do with bumping his marketplace thread, then deleting the bump posts once someone commented on the thread. Holy crap, there are already 4 threads selling bitcointalk accounts in just the first page. It seems quite a number of accounts are being traded. it isn't clear from looking what kind of volume there actually is here, though. it may not add up to much.

i was thinking we might tap this 630 line again and drop, but we keep hanging here above 620. it's starting to feel kind of bullish. then again, i've been trapped this way in the past...

If that's where the volume and zero fee action is then I guess it's a natural fit for a trader regardless of nationality. I guess many of their big exchanges will eventually relocate to Hong Kong or elsewhere and go properly international.
yes, i don't think anyone thinks that mainland China is an ideal place to headquarter a bitcoin exchange. i am sort of excited to see huobi's english language platform. might send some coins over there when they become more internationally accessible.
|
|
|
that gives me an interesting thought. to this point, we've mainly been seeing small merchants accepting bitcoin. if we see more companies of this magnitude accepting bitcoin, will it drag down the exchange markets? with gradual adoption, and you see this with bitpay, i don't think the push on exchange prices is that significant. but some very big merchants adopting could maybe throw a monkey wrench in the equilibrium.

Everyone speculates about chinese traders on this thread. Are there any chinese traders here, in the thread? There's gotta be some kind of bitcoin online community for china, no? I am interested, as everyone talks of the chinese traders like they are a completely separate and mysterious entity.
There's a Chinese language section on this very forum. It's just that pesky google translate that stops anyone from understanding what they're on about. Some Chinese, or China-based, people do post on here occasionally but very rarely. i have a nagging suspicion, though, that there are many western traders on Chinese exchanges. i've seen a few people in the tradingview chat that have said they trade on huobi. i'm sure there's some around here who do as well.

I'm pretty much just starting to grasp TA myself, but I can really recommend following people on tradingview and trying to replicate their charts. I learn by seeing and doing, so applying the TA of others and seeing the results help a lot.
yes, this can help. however, be careful not to go blindly on the TA of others. it is very easy to miss a projection, and then it is up to you to adapt to the market. i think some people look at another person's chart, thinks "that's plausible", then when a prediction or formation gets invalidated, they don't realize it.

well, my favorites tend to change from time to time.... phases. lately i can't get enough of abita's purple haze lager (rasberry): then of course, there is the permanent favorite. no other espresso compares:

good luck with this. i am aware of ebay's policies, and while i can see the benefits as a consumer, i would never be a seller there. that's asking for headache after headache.

until we see more clear regulations come, and i'm sure we will see more in the next 3-5 years, it's the wild wild west. who is going to do anything about it? not the SEC, not the CFTC. not yet, anyway.

meh, okcoin got caught faking volume did they not? i don't take volume on any of the Chinese exchanges seriously, and okcoin i would ignore more than any other.
