What a persuasive case you present.

Do you want me to list all the WP themes out there that do all the presentation work for you in HTML5 /CSS3 so you don't have to code a single line of HTML / CSS3 / PHP? Be quite happy to. Just let me know.

FFS, I thought this would be one of the more technical minded sections of the internet, but alas...
202  Economy / Services / Re: Web Design or Redesign on: January 26, 2014, 10:58:25 AM
Either you are using Wordpress, or you are writing your own code in HTML5 / CSS3. You can't have your cake and eat it in web dev I'm afraid.

I once rewrote a Wordpress site (that had 50,000 files in it because WP is so bloated, together with its bloated plug-ins) into HTML 5 / CSS3 / modernizr.js" and it became 8 files.

I do not know what you are talking about. Wordpress is a CMS which makes updating the content of a site easier for non-technical people. HTML, CSS and jQuery is frontend which is delivered to the browser. No doubt you don't strictly need a CMS but it makes editing a site content a lot easier.

You are either playing dumb or making it up as you go along. Wordpress delivers the front-end for every website, not just the content. That part of it is called the "themes". If you use WP, you generally never write a line of code, certainly not presentation code. That's all done by the PHP theme code.

I create the theme...
You create a design in HTML, CSS, jQuery etc then you cut it into a WP theme. It seems like you don't know how WP works.

This is not a technical discussion of how to create a website, I would be completely fine with having a discussion but not here.

Very funny. I've created a couple of dozen WP sites. There are literally thousands of themes out there for every conceivable job, and the latest are very flexible in the page out they produce. Nobody needs a new theme. You just pay $20 to buy one already made, that has had hundreds of hours put into building it.

Go search for "WordPress Themes" - you'll be there all year. And the most they cost is $40, most are much cheaper.

Please stop. You didn't create anything if you just used a premade theme. There is plenty need for a build for purpose theme, lots of people don't want the same theme as x amount of people are using. They would also like some input into the design process.

I have no interest in your advice. I previously stated if you want a decision I would be happy for one but not here.

I can't seem to get "the United Corporation of Bitcoin" out of my head. It doesn't even make sense a non-profit name.
206  Economy / Services / [Closed for now]Web Design or Redesign on: January 23, 2014, 09:49:39 PM
Hello Bitcoiners,

I currently in the middle of starting up as a freelance Web Designer and I am looking for a small project to hone my skills. I am willing to do a design from scratch or a redesign of your current website. I will be using Wordpress as the CMS(Content Management System) but I am willing to use Drupal instead on request. I will also be using HTML5 and CSS3 properties and will be supporting all major browser except IE7 and below(The site will work in all browser but it won't look as beautiful in older browsers).

I don't mind if you don't use my design, as I said this is mainly to hone my skills. To sum up if someone has a small Web Re/Design project but don't have a budget then leave a reply or pm me.

Thanks

EDIT: Ps. I have a BsC in Computer Science.
207  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: List of ongoing scams on: August 06, 2013, 06:26:59 PM
Please add "Mastercoin" to the list.

-This project violates all applicable US laws
-The creator claims to be based in the US but has not provided proof of his identity yet
-He's asking for money now even though all he's got is a hastily thrown together whitepaper
-The money is sent directly into his BTC account in exchange for nothing but a promise of "mastercoins" when he gets around to making them

See: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=265666.0

-This project violates all applicable US laws
Very stupid statement. If you are not breaking a law then it is obviously not applicable.

Or try localbitcoin.com I have traded in GDP there before.

Yup, back again, just logged in my account.

Kerplunk17, is a tournament participation history on the TODO? Like, what tournaments we entered, what place we end up, chips earned...

That's already there goto hand history and you'll see all the tournaments you entered.

Not that, what I meant was user personal history, that's global history.

I thought that was personal history. I must have just been in a lot of the tournaments
212  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to get rid of one-post every 6 mins limitation? on: July 18, 2013, 12:06:43 PM
Yes, we need to wait 6 min after log in, in order to make a first post...
And then, 6 min for the next one. Boring!

Spam is much more boring. You don't need to wait long till this restriction is removed

Was the user database wiped?

I'm not able to login, should I register again?

On their twitter it says it is down for maintenance. I wouldn't register again until they give the word on if they are starting the database afresh.
215  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BitZino question: Six line did not appear after 70 spins on: July 16, 2013, 02:37:20 PM
Bitzino ITS SCAM. The second dozen did not apears after 57 spins!! I lose more than 2.2 btc! Fucking scamers...

You seem to have the definition of gambling mixed up with the definition of a scam.

You know what is the probability of 57 spins without the second dozen?

(63,16/100)^57= 0.0000000000042189 or 0.00000000042189%

Yes and...

I am not saying it isn't a scam but this just sounds like standard roulette to me. Just because something is improbable doesn't mean it's impossible.

Roulette system don't work and have never worked. I used to play roulette a lot.

Your best bet is to not bet at all.

@James Sorry about the delay, just doing some maintenance and got caught up with that. Just sent all withdrawals out!

Don't worry about it, I can confirm I just received it. Thanks

I'll assume the race to 1k is still on.
220  Economy / Gambling / Re: Race to 1k- The Edge Poker on: July 14, 2013, 07:46:27 PM
Has the race to 1k concluded?
The withdrawal system seems to be down. I tried to withdraw over 48hours ago and still nothing.

Any information would be good.
