41  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius DEMO coin on: November 19, 2020, 06:03:59 PM
When checking a Demo on https://casascius.uberbills.com/ website you will get the following large X  Created:   Never seen

https://i.imgur.com/iMsYG1G.png

This will also come up for some higher denomination items that were never loaded and not considered "DEMO" items

interesting. is there a way to query that DB to see what the total potential count of DEMO is? that is beyond my technical paygrade :/
42  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius DEMO coin on: November 19, 2020, 05:03:39 AM
Thank you for talking about this. I do not think there is that much demand because demo are not loaded.
I guess people don care.
Anyway pm me how much you are looking for the demo coin. Rainbowsky
It's unfortunate that Rainbowsky is always the first one to comment on every single thread with incorrect information. Please disregard his post.

This coin would be highly valuable and sought after as it is a large part of Casascius history.
Please add pictures to show quality and help increase hype. It more than likely won't sell instantly unless you auction it but having it well documented in the thread will lead to offers further down the line when big money starts looking for these rarities.

I'll try and take some photos over the next week!

Ignore this retard, please. Roll Eyes

Demo coins are rare. He doesn't know what he's talking about or is trying to scam you.

What grading service, anacs? Go with ICG instead if so. Wink

Ha. I used ANACS back in the old days (yellow insert slab). I've never seen a graded DEMO so my main concern would be that it was classified correctly whether its ICG or someone else.
44  Economy / Collectibles / Casascius DEMO coin on: November 19, 2020, 04:14:57 AM
There have been a few threads on the elusive DEMO coin (but not quite as elusive as the VOID coin). Some looking to buy, some looking to potentially sell, but I don't think any transactions were ultimately completed. Anyone have any experience they can speak to?

I have a DEMO coin and depending on what interest/market is for it, would be open to selling it. I was considering sending it in to be graded but the grading backlog has put a pause to that for now.
45  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 2011 Casascius 25 BTC loaded on: November 17, 2020, 10:57:29 PM
Shocked Watching.

hope you get it!! last one didn’t go for that much.

also a word of caution for you, get a signed purchase agreement put together by a competent attorney where the buyer attests to source of btc being clean.
you will be pinged by some attempting to pay you with btc linked to scams, thefts etc... amount is large enough to launder ill gotten coins?

Unfortunately, I have to agree with Canary here. This is also why the premiums for larger denominations will only decrease over time, there is too much risk involved. Easier to peel and redeem and sell the coin afterwards. Also, you may want to check on any tax consequences. I believe after 10 years holding there is less (or near zero, but dont quote me on that) capital gains tax, and if you're the first owner then we are almost at 10 years.

What are your thoughts on coinjoins, Canary?

Will be interesting to see if BTCC premium increases vs. Casascius over time based on this due to BTCC funding from the coinbase transaction directly.
46  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Has anyone tried LibertyX's new buy BTC service (CVS & 7-Eleven)? on: October 25, 2020, 08:20:14 PM
Upon checking 7 eleven stores, I still don't see LibertyX option to buy Bitcoin here in some 7-eleven stores in the Philippines.
Honestly, buying Bitcoins in 7 eleven is really much comfortable, especially I already tried it before here in the Philippines, but it's the Abra + 7 Eleven, they are using Abra for buying Bitcoin.
I can't wait to become available here in 7-Eleven Philippines store. And make tutorial again, just like what I did before: [STEP BY STEP] Tutorial How to buy Bitcoin at 7-Eleven Stores in the Philippines

Hi GreatArkansas-

Great tutorial! We are focused on the US market for now.

Huh, I apparently missed this thread entirely--but now that I found it, I located an ATM that's not too far of a bicycle ride for me.  I'll have to check it out next time the weather is nice enough for a 16 mile ride into the fairly rural area in which it's located.

There aren't any CVS pharmacies near me that participate, and I don't even know where the closest 7-11 is to me, as they've shut down a lot of their stores in my state over the past few decades.  As far as the fee goes, it doesn't sound as bad as the last bitcoin ATM I used, but we'll see.

I'll report back here if and when I try it out.

I think all CVS's should work. If you have a specific location, feel free to PM me and I'll confirm for you. BTW, it's not an ATM but a barcode that the cashier scans. Some more info here: https://libertyx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360045272771-About-Chain-Retailers-e-g-CVS-and-Rite-Aid-

Any interest in the boards for em? I just found my old collection, mix of japanese and english cards, a lot of holo´s. Mostly between from between 2000 and 2004.
Will make an auction if enough interest.

Greets Hank

if the old you happened to like Charizard you might end up having a nice pot of money Smiley

+1 for sharing some pics. if you don't like the offers here you can list them on ebay (but you may need to sell individually to maximize return).

2 @ 0.14 btc

Good! I'll turn off my alarm clock at 04:30 to have a sound sleep.
Cheers, buddy.

Not 10? I overlooked again.

If the auction ended now, you would get 8 and CITM would get 2.
57  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTB] Kialaras on: September 27, 2020, 10:33:03 PM
Looking to buy one or more Kialaras, funded/unfunded. Must not be redeemed.

Offers welcome by PM or as replies.

Escrow required in most scenarios.

Self moderated to prevent piggybacking.

I have a brand new 2014 Original and 2015 Labyrinth, both unfunded. I can take photos if interested.
