I don't think it matters what they say is legal or not. What makes you think they can do anything about it? Look how great a job they are doing preventing piracy, ddos attacks, fraud, child porn, and identity theft which are all more serious matters that should be taken care of.

Bottom line is just because something is made illegal don't mean they are able to stop it.
8  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: USB mining: Pool vs Solo on: August 10, 2013, 09:45:09 PM
Pool. Even if you have 30 if you mine solo you may NEVER get a single btc.
9  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling Block Erupter .8 BTC per unit. on: August 10, 2013, 09:43:12 PM
What does one have to do to get the "trade with extreme caution" tag. Just curious.

10  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Android Mini PC and Block Erupters on: August 10, 2013, 09:38:33 PM
As far as i know its a matter of being able to run the software for the miners. The software that gets installed on an OS being linux, windows, mac. etc.
11  Other / Politics & Society / Re: government opening my packages? on: August 10, 2013, 09:30:40 PM
Did the package have to cross any borders? If it had to make it by customs they do open random packages but they will leave note saying it had been opened and inspected and if they took anything. They also have special tape to reseal...anyway its quite obvious
12  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Android Mini PC and Block Erupters on: August 10, 2013, 09:11:22 PM
Not to deter you from a new hobby but the reason those things are falling in price is because one BE is mining less btc each and every day. The more people that mine for btc the harder it is and in turn your BE will generate less and less each day and one BE don't do much to start with. If you are truly going to do it as a hobby then fine, but i think your 60 dollars would be better spent on something else.

Edit. I too am new to the mining and am treating it as a hobby...for what its worth. Back to your question its like tom said, if it can run linux and u can plug your usb miner into it then I would assume you can make it work.

"Iyengar knows his stuff. He left his job as lead CPU architect at Samsung to found Cointerra. One of his favourite tricks is holding up his Android phone and pointing out that he designed the processor inside it."

Awesome

Bullshit cellphones have unlimited internet. It may have to do with your provider but listen to this. I have had multiple prepaid no contract phones as well as a few contract services who say it is unlimited internet but it really is not. After you hit their magic number usually about 2 weeks into the month you will experience SLOW connections, so slow and so consistent that it is obvious they are throttling your speeds and in some cases just shut you off until the next billing cycle.

As far as internet providers I have seen a couple where it is written in the contract that there is a limit but that they are not currently holding anyone to it. Comcast is by far the worst when it comes to this on top of their shitty customer service and intermittent connection. Its no wonder they have to have a monopoly in any given area because I don't think anyone would chose them if they had another option with similar speeds.

http://customer.comcast.com/help-and-support/internet/common-questions-excessive-use/

I hate everything about Comcast they are an evil monopoly. I refuse to give them any business. I sure do miss having fast speeds but with the connectivity issues they always have and then they cut your speeds down to a crawl its not worth the 50 dollars a month. LoL 50 who am I kidding, there is always another 20-30 in hidden fees on top of it all.

I currently have DSL. Sure its slow but it NEVER goes out. Thankfully the phone company in my area is totally rebuilding their network and will be offering HDTV, DSL internet with up to 25meg "about half of cable but its a start" and of course phone.

I also own 2 of these and they work just as good as the EVGA. Just so you know the power supply is the most important piece as far as not being cheap in my opinion. Other things like ram and the processor you can go ahead and get the cheapest one you can find. Do not try to save money on the power supply. If you buy some piece of crap it will either die instantly when you power up all the video cards or worse yet ruin your other equipment.

It comes with a nice case to carry the extra cables too.

I can try to find another board or two. The board I have is out of order last time I checked.

I have not used that exact one but I have used MSI products and they are just as good as any. There are many options at first I thought you wanted to plug the GPUS right into the board so i found that one with 16x slots. I could probably find others that have more 1x slots for maybe a bit cheaper. It don't matter as long as you are mining.

Edit: Take a closer look, only one will be 66 dollars because you are only able to send in one rebate per address per product. I had to find that out the hard way but even at 80 dollars they are still a great buy. Let me find the link to the other brand that also has a rebate
Rebates take about 2 months to get back to you just so you know.

I have done alot of shopping myself. Amazon is a pain in the butt to figure out what you are looking for because they dont have many options to enter in. To be honest, I load up pages and pages of motherboards and by looking at the picture I can quickly count how many pcie slots it has. The more the better. Smiley

I would not use intel for anything unless it was given to me for free. Even then I would have to worry about is dying on me. I use and abuse my AMD chips and they just keep on going...

I would not worry about what it looks like, but I agree with you it is a well laid out board. EVGA makes tons of other things. I use EVGA Supernova power supplies and absolutely love them.

2 of those per system: Plenty of power. Those I linked happen to be bronze they have gold certified ones if you prefer for a bit more money.

I agree, I love my AMD's and will never return to intel. You get more bang for your buck and not that you need to for mining coins but say it was a gaming system you can very easy over clock the hell out of AMD chips giving you an even better deal for your $$.

I did post an intel mother board and a celeron processor.
