What's Proof of Keys?

I'm not ready for it whatever it is.

Taking your coin off of exchanges so fuckery with the books can be exposed/mitigated.  Happening January 3rd.

I was hoping it means we get free extra bitcoins for holding bitcoin, like with bitcoin cash. So I can't dump something for extra bitcoins?

I felt the need to start doing some end of the year compilations. Here is a look at the first year distributions of WOsMerit's. If you feel there are errors in the chain analysis feel free to post your correction or PM me. Let it be noted these are only WOsM's that I personally issued, if you have issued any the same rules apply as above. Submit for verification and they will be added to the chain asap.

I would appreciate advice on what sort of proofs/documents did they request you to "explain where it came from". It might get handy to get them all ready in advance.

From my experience it was just screenshots of my exchange accounts. It may be different for each person though.

Most big exchanges have a series of questions they sometimes ask. Although they don't always ask them there is always the possibility they will.

These are the questions bitstamp sometimes asks.

That is Bitstamp AML application form
Banks doesn't ask question like that.
I think  it's big abuse.   Huh

Have anyone here ever received something like this?

That is pretty wild. Explain why you have this money, because after all everyone knows it's not yours but really is someone else's loaned to you because of a specific reason.

Odd that my personal wallets never ask me questions like that. Go figure.

I'd recommend storing all wealth in something you control. Remember if you don't own your keys, you don't own bitcoins. Sounds like you own someone's fiat.

Bitfinex is now asking the same intrusive questions that bitstamp sometimes asks. They've both been hacked so I wouldn't trust them with that much personal information.

Why is btrash doing so well ?

 Embarrassed  Cry

Probably because of the upcoming fork.

Talking about death... one of my Ledger wallets have died. It has a burn mark near the LCD (deforming the plastic case) as if it had internally shortcircuited or something....

Anyone knows if there is some warranty replacement or something?

Has it happened to anyone else?

There is no guarantee of money back, but if you fill out the linked form they might talk to you about the problem.

Doesn't anyone else think Elon Musk's twitter was hacked during that spat of them saying "Change your passwords!" due to their own breach of the database of all their 450 million user accounts?
https://cryptopotato.com/elon-musk-will-bring-humans-to-mars-and-cryptocurrencies-to-the-moon/

Why would a ceo of a billion dollar company use "u" in his tweets?

I dunno. It's plausible. He's been verifiably been otherwise acting erratically over the last week.
He is arguing with Warren Buffet on a moat filled with candy. Embarrassed
http://fortune.com/2018/05/05/warren-buffett-elon-musk-trolling-sees-candies-moats/

It does sound like he wants to build a Willy Wonka type theme park.
Billionaire has too much money to know what to do with it. Micheal Jackson syndrome? Undecided

Take that money and put it into crypto.
Built a Crypto virtual theme park! Grin

Like benders?

Next bull run, people talk about what helicopter on their yacht’s flight deck.

Now this is the sort of talk I like to hear !

This is the best I can afford until the next bull run.

.... LOOK AT THE FUCKING BOAT BEFORE YOU BUY IT. You decide if it is worth the price or not.

The multibit dev lived on a boat. After reading this post I decided to view any boat at the coldest point of the winter if I ever decide to buy one. What seems great in the summer might be shit in the winter.

MultiBit HQ is a narrowboat moored on a canal in the UK. Costs are minimized ruthlessly. It is really peaceful living on a narrowboat - plenty of time to get work done.

But this time of year it is a bit ridiculous. There is a cold snap in the UK at the moment. Overnight temp last night was -6 Celcius. The boat does have central heating but you don't run it all the time and not overnight (because of electricity and diesel use). So last night I am in my full body sleeping outfit, in a down sleeping bag, under a duvet, with a throw. Warm and toasty but it is a bit chilly cleaning your teeth in the morning when the temp in the bathroom is exactly 0 Celcius.

Like your pet cat, I always find the warmest spot on the boat so am currently typing on my laptop by the big radiator in the lounge. I am just a ball of insulation.

I will be glad when it is spring. I think that is the best time on a boat.

Next bull run, people talk about what helicopter on their yacht’s flight deck.

And the one after that people will talk about booking their first space rocket ship tourist flight.

stop thinking small.

owning planets are where its at. i want Saturn. lots of moons to build on. plus, you know, the rings are sooo cool.

You're not thinking big enough. Pay to have a new planet custom built to your specifications. Why buy an existing old one when you can have a new one built exactly the way you want it? You would get even cooler rings than Saturn's with more moons.

I thought wood paneling went out of vogue with bell bottoms and Brylcreem...

Bell bottoms and Brylcreem are out of vogue?

I thought Brylcreem was so trendy that bitcoin cash based its logo on it.

checked with my bank to make sure they were ok with the amount of crypto i was depositing (it was like 10 times what i had cashed out in total previously), they were fine with it. ive used then mainly for coinbase cashouts for 5 years now, so maybe that helped.

Did you just ask the bank if depositing x amount from an exchange would be OK, or did you give more information than that?

Wangbus, is the guy in charge of developing the software. He sometimes posts updates in this thread.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385449.0

It's probably better asking there than starting a new thread about it.

You can read all the latest posts by wangbus here.

I'm no chart specialist but isn't this almost a double-bottom?
Technically, I think we are witnessing a rare quadruple-bottom.
Pics or it didn't happen

Happy now ?

+1 WO Merit
But I had something more like this in mind:

Not like this then?

Have you been to Asia?
Yes? Came back from another visit to thailand just yesterday. Been to the flips too. What about it?
There just is no continuous aging process when it comes to Asian women (at least the good looking ones). They eventually flip to "old" mode once they turn I don't know, 80 or something.
You are wrong. No other way to put it, you are just flat out wrong here.
The hordes of 30-40 year olds that look like teens to twenties would have me disagree with you on this one. They hold up better than their western counterparts when it comes to aging. At least in the more affluent countries as somebody else pointed out.

As long as they don 't start eating fastjunkshitfood... . I saw highschool children getting obese very very fast. To the point that I did not recognize them after six months... . And unfortunately, just as with all bad western habbits, the Asian people adopt these  as a form of status symbols... .
Not obesity. Fat shaming is an integral part of their culture. I have seen less fat people in two years while in Japan than I see in a single day in the west (when I actually bother leaving my house).

So they fat shame their sumo wrestlers?
