1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: buying bitcoin with a creditcard on: April 18, 2024, 07:20:41 PM
Hello, this topic probably belongs in Services. When I recently checked Crypto.com they were servicing many countries, they should be able to help you.

Is It Time to Buy More BTC?

I suggest a strong 60% Yes. It is always a good idea to save some funds and place orders well below the current market. If you put ~60% of available new funds in now, and also target lower prices, you will be in a great position.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Selling NFTs...Where to start? on: March 18, 2024, 08:41:21 PM
No one has mentioned SAND / The Sandbox, they have NFT's and many other things. Your NFT could be tied to a popular game and have added value, isn't that right? I know they are way down from the ATH, but it's not finished over there.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want to present the previous history of Bitcoin to the general public through. on: February 04, 2024, 08:57:43 PM
Reading stories is my old habit. One day while reading stories online, I saw an advertisement, that advertisement was of Bitcoin, based on that source, my journey to Bitcoin or crypto currency.

I want to present the past history of bitcoin or crypto currency in front of people through social media and so that people can know more about bitcoin because I think I should have known about bitcoin earlier. nowadays, people are very pioneers, so there are many who learn a lot at a young age. I would like to know your opinion on how to increase the interest of Bitcoin among teenagers on social media.

By using what topics a common man will like to read about Bitcoin and will be able to gain clear knowledge about Bitcoin and show interest in investing in Bitcoin ?

Go for it! Find unique ways to connect with people, and point out some of the great old threads at this forum. Bitcoin history is really, really exciting and people should know. Also, please remember to remind people the future is also bright for BTC.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there fewer women Than men involved in Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2023, 07:55:58 PM
The truth about this is that most women do not  have the strength to withstand the pressure of Bitcoin volatility. A woman is not as strong as a man when it comes to handling some issues. Women that are into Crypto today paid the price. Not all women like to go to that length to subject themselves to stress and things that can make them develop High blood pressure.
Another thing is that women are busy with keeping the house and other easy business. But with the way the world is going and the level of education in the world, there will be more and more ladies in the crypto space.

The post I quoted would, honestly, be offensive to some women. I will agree (re: "keeping the house") women are often more "financially protective" and less likely to take risks than men. Sometimes, keeping the house doesn't mean cleaning and Women's work, it literally means do not lose the house by messing up financially. From the start the Bitcoin Community has seen many more men present than women, it has improved in recent years.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto market will pump soon? on: August 24, 2023, 11:53:05 PM
Crypto market was going well, Bitcoin was pumping gradually and altcoins also following the path after bitcoin. But market get dumped recently. But today it shows good signs for something good to be happened. So what do you think? We are going to notice recovery soon? Or many dumps are waiting ahead?

Bitcoin:
It is difficult to rally so soon after a hard fall, once the initial bounce up is over. $25,000 was the low last time, so $25,700 will be the bottom this time.  Grin

Altcoins: Yes, the ones that survived being down ~90% from their ATH will be way overdue to rally soon.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are there truly crypto whales and what are your takes on them? on: January 11, 2023, 06:42:31 AM
Are there truly crypto whales and what are your takes on them?
It is interesting to note Bitcoin whales, on average, are much different than in traditional investment markets. Many of our wealthy BTC siblings were quite young - and nervous - when they suddenly became rich. Greed and Fear rule the markets: Next time you see the Crypto markets going completely nuts, in either direction, you might be watching some of our insecure whales freaking out again.
8  Economy / Service Discussion / I am concerned about the dangers of KYC, but how do you do business... on: July 19, 2020, 05:02:45 AM
Topic inspired by this excellent post: Why KYC is extremely dangerous – and useless
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5221497.0

I am concerned about the dangers of KYC, but how do you do business in the USA (and many other places) without it? To be clear, individuals cannot use vital services without obeying the requests, and businesses cannot exist without obeying the SEC rules. We need new ways to help BTC go mainstream without all the BS. Any ideas?

9  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-01-28] Your Bitcoin Should Be Seized to Pay for Climate Reparations on: January 28, 2020, 12:50:47 AM
People like her need to find something better to do.  She will easily convince some people that Bitcoin is the enemy of our climate.

MasterCard is forming its own crypto team, The payment solutions company has called for applications to work in the dynamic intersection of cryptocurrencies and payments in its recruitment listing. Mastercard added that the hired people will monitor ecosystem trends in cryptocurrency as well as develop upcoming products and solutions. hope you remembered facebook's Libra too. it's no news that crypto is nothing but the future . we are getting there

Yes, we are getting there fast these days. Will the MasterCard Crypto Team (MCT) understand that chargebacks are not an option for the buyer in this future?

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam coins everywhere. on: April 23, 2018, 08:20:20 PM
It really is hard to believe that there are some ICOs who are intended to scam people. There are all hypocrits and rely on the weakness of people especially those who are new to bitcoin. So sad.

I am interested in studying data related to the latest ICO trends, anyone know if this is already being worked on?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vettting ICO idea on: February 03, 2018, 09:51:18 PM
Hi John,

We are happy to discuss the idea but didn't know if this was the best forum to do so.

We would like to create a virtual and physical ecosystem for startups to work, build, and trade centered around blockchain tech.

The Physical

We have partial interests in various buildings that we'd like to use as our flagship location to start.  The flagship will build out ~40 apartments that will allow the location to sustain itself year to year.  The benefit to startups and the ecosystem is the additional ~20,000 ft that we can offer as very inexpensive space designed specifically as a blockchain developer mecca.

Depending on success of the raise, we'd expand into other locations per the majority of the crowd.  Startups in the ecosystem would be able to work at these locations and use the token as a means of exchange not only within our physical centers but with other consumers.

The Virtual
The virtual framework is a startup transaction and document/contract management design.  It is based on the processes and documents that our partner attorney has been crafting for the last 20 years and our software workflow.  The platform would allow entrepreneurs to launch the creation of and track their foundation documents, create smart contracts with subcontractors, employees, investors, etc. Additionally, we would extend the framework and dashboard so startups could choose to embed and transact with customers within their technology via an API.

Our vision for the framework is two fold:
1) provide any stage startup the ability to track, monitor, and create all of the contracts and forms needed during the lifecycle of a startup, and
2) allow early stage companies to embed our token framework as a way to implement crypto transactions with customers.

Of course, startups could opt to use the platform without being located at any of the physical locations.  However, we think it creates an interesting concept to place physical locations around the globe to provide an IRL aspect to blockchain.

Again, if this is the wrong forum for this, we apologize and are happy to discuss elsewhere.  Feedback appreciated.

Business incubators with some original features added?
My feedback to you is almost 100% positive. Make a good presentation and you can get plenty of funding, especially if you are associated with trusted real estate industry people.

ps. You are "stealing" some ideas I have been working on for way too long!  Tongue
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vettting ICO idea on: February 03, 2018, 09:45:15 PM
What are your objections to discuss your plans right in here? Afraid someone will take your idea and run with it? Ideas are worthless. What matters is the execution.

Respectfully disagree.
Afraid someone will take your idea and run with it?
Many ideas are good enough, and original, that they cannot be released in full without some protection or momentum. This can be very difficult for original thinkers with a low start-up budget.
Ideas are worthless.
Information is "worthless", in the right hands original ideas are the private keys to wealth.
What matters is the execution.
Finally we can agree, but the need for a competent road map, does not help if a well funded and prepared operation steals your most valuable ideas.
17  Other / Serious discussion / Re: How to end the "BTC Civil War" before it gets worse? on: February 03, 2018, 09:19:38 PM
You cannot end it. The fork has happened and the two coins have gone their seperate ways.

That is a useful distinction, and the "two major coins" are one type of division. For the ongoing, media-hyped "Bitcoin Civil War" we still have:

Quote
(from the OP)
"The Bitcoin community is deeply divided
Transactions take too long
fees are way too high"...

I understand some solutions are in progress. Part of this "Serious discussion" is over my head, so there is a chance to expand and learn.
Peace.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Suggestions for good open-source (free) gambling software? on: January 20, 2018, 10:58:33 PM
I am looking into/studying 100% legal "social gambling".
FYI:
Companies find profit in no-cash gambling games

Suggestions for good open-source (free) gambling software?
Not standard boring "dice", but real casino games including Blackjack.
Any good ones? Thank you.

The Bitcoin community is deeply divided
Transactions take too long
fees are way too high
no real end in sight.

Note: This topic is about Peace not War.
Seriously, how to end the "BTC Civil War" before it gets worse?
20  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Rise of Crypto Bookkeepers and Accountant on: January 10, 2018, 02:45:37 AM
I just happen to have an accountant that sits two offices over from me that is fully versed in crypto and how the new tax laws effect us. If anyone would like contact info DM me.

Thanks for the offer, will send PM soon.

Apparently there are already people offering tax advise on Fiverr, regardless of crypto. I don't see Fiverr becoming much of a platform for tax advisors on an international scale though, since unlike programming or graphic design location matters when it comes to tax advise -- ie. with skilled programmers / designers it doesn't matter much where they come from but even a skilled tax advisor won't help if they are not familiar with your local tax laws.
.....

People offering tax advise on Fiverr is almost really funny. The expected competence of both the sellers and buyers would seem to be very low. Almost anyone with the skills to earn enough money to need tax advice should know $5 is not the price you expect to pay for good service..
