62  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The First Signature Campaign on: February 28, 2015, 03:51:02 PM
The Inpts campaigns were by no means the first, it was one of the earliest ones (and the largest at that time).

Butterfly Labs had a signature campaign back in early 2012.

Is there any links to these? I'd be interested to compare them to the campaigns today.
You cant compare it because the different value of btc back there
63  Other / Meta / Re: Who created this forum??? on: February 28, 2015, 02:07:13 PM
The story of how I became head admin is actually pretty boring. Moderators were needed, so I was made a global moderator. Then admins were needed, so I was made an admin. Then over time the other admins slowly lost interest and resigned until I was the only one left. I guess most of the people who were around here to see this have more-or-less left the community now. That's a bit sad.

It's not entirely clear, but for simplicity I usually say that I became head admin at the beginning of 2011, a little over a year after the forum was created.

The forum was originally located at bitcoin.org/smf, then forum.bitcoin.org (hence the redirect), and finally bitcointalk.org. Fun fact: The name "bitcointalk" was invented by Jeff Garzik, and he's the one who bought the domain.

Wow! it's an honour that you replied

It's not at all boring , am sure those who left ,must be really repenting it now.

So, orginally Jeff bought the domain not Sirius
Thank you for clarifying so much here Cheesy
This is important and awesome story for me as btctalk is the largest community of btc
64  Other / Meta / Re: Whats up with the people loaning bitcoin to increase their trust? on: February 28, 2015, 01:57:08 PM
I think trust is every people choices, so we can't say anything if there are no people trust us
65  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: bitsurge.io | Premium BTC Faucet | FREE BTC | Level Up | 10% Referral Profit on: February 28, 2015, 01:52:13 PM
Why are btc-flow copies so popular?

Because for some time it was the best faucet ever.
it wasnt the faucet it payed from other people deposits so that was ponzi
It was "faucet" if you not invest anything
66  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: [1.25x Your BTC!] SMOOTHPONZI - Unbelievable & Easy Returns! on: February 28, 2015, 01:46:26 PM
Do NOT invest in this. Ponzi are evil. They are ruining BTC reputation and users.
Actually ponzi not happen in btc but other currency also
67  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: BTC-Flow.com ★ Business Ponzi Game ★ 300%+ Return ★ Invest BTC ★ Referral on: February 28, 2015, 01:45:03 PM

I don't expect anyone to send a lot, and what I'm doing is not a scam. I couldn't imagine at all, this would even get to 0.05BTC, so you saying escrow, I have no idea what you are thinking. I will confirm which post is 5000--the first to hit 5000 may not be true due to referral links or double posts, etc. Anyone may add to the bounty at the address I set forth or just pledge to give something in a separate transaction. I see no need to complicate things here, I'm not running away. If this thread gets closed or never makes it to 5000, lets say in a month, I'd return anything received(no free microwallet sites payments returned and some might need a valid bitcoin signature to verify), possibly minus fees. If somehow the address gets to 1BTC that's where it will hurt as I'm excluding myself from winning. I didn't think for one second when I started it could even get to 1/10th of that. I plan on being here a long time, on this my one and only account, I don't want to be stuck with negative trust and I really don't know how to get any that counts(not involving my own btc). I can not immediately comment on anything being added to the pot as the wallet is encrypted and not in use, so I check the blockchain like like everyone else. Good luck everyone.
There is no proof this is the only 1 of your account

76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who cares about bitcoin price? on: February 28, 2015, 12:25:17 PM
I care Smiley
I'm earning my bitcoin and after that I cash out my bitcoin balance to my bank account through paypal.
This money really helps me each month so I'm very concerned about bitcoin price.

Probably you should consider keeping a small portion (which you can afford) and leave it as it is without ever looking at the price. Who knows what the future holds some day. If by any chance it does grow big some day, bitcoin is not going to be cheap anymore and by then, at least you will have some sizeable stash along with you.
Half of people are teenagers and this money really helps them and leaving something just ain't a choice Wink
Yes, btc already help me a lot in my life since past 2 year when I know about them
77  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Scam Alert! Latest Ponzi Collapses -- BE AWARE before BLOWING your funds! on: February 28, 2015, 12:23:57 PM
This very good thing to see recent campaign against ponzis . We all should disclose every single ponzi but as long as greed exists people will continue playing there as some of them will succeed to withdraw others will remain without their money.
There are too many ponzi and I don't think OP can list ist for all

Why not?  Items on the list shouldn't be there for long, you report the sites as fraudulent and they get taken down.
Who will invest at the site and you think can trust what they say ?
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MangoCoinz Official ANN Thread - Mine cryptocurrencies on you smart phone on: February 28, 2015, 12:22:57 PM
Even though I don't have an iPhone, I can't wait for the iOS release (less than a month hopefully). Gonna bring in a bunch of new users and help grow the mango  Cheesy
But you have to remember as more people mining, more hard to get mango
