1  Economy / Exchanges / Is x-grape.io a legitimate exchange? on: July 31, 2021, 02:42:27 AM
Is x-grape.io a legitimate exchange?  I met someone who keeps encouraging me to sign up there. Never heard of it before and can't seem to find any reviews. I was able to register with an invitation code but haven't provided any personal information yet.
2  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need some help. 2FA security keys are not working on coinbase or other exchanges on: December 05, 2020, 08:11:44 AM
I believe there are two possible problems from your side
- Timer: the timer on your phone is not match with timer on exchanges.
- Your backup codes were written down inaccurately.

There is nothing to know your backup codes were backed up correct or inaccurately. You can test your timer by creating a new account, set up 2FA and see does the code on your phone (with a fresh 2FA code) can be acccepted or not?

If the fresh one is accepted, it means your backups have something wrong.

Also try to input those codes into other 2FA apps
Most of these are not open source and do not allow proper encrypted back ups. Google Authenticator in particular is awful from the regard. FreeOTP is no longer in development. Here are the apps you should be using:
Android - Aegis or AndOTP
iOS - Tofu or Authenticator

Authenticator timer says it was sync'd.

I cut and paste all of the codes into an excel file which was printed out and stored. I am 100% positive the security keys are correct.

Just tried the Aegis app and having the same problem....
3  Economy / Service Discussion / Need some help. 2FA security keys are not working on coinbase or other exchanges on: December 05, 2020, 07:47:44 AM
So I had Google Authenticator set up on my old phone. Had 2FA enabled on all exchanges, Coinbase, biance, bittrex, etc etc. When I got a new phone I didn't realize the 2FA had to be reprogrammed and I factory reset the old phone.  Well luckily I have saved ALL of my security keys from when the 2FA was set up back in 2017.  No problem right?

Well the exchanges are saying my 2FA code is invalid. I entered the long security key into Google Authenticator and it was accepted and generates the six digit codes. However Coinbase and all the other exchanges that I reentered the security keys for also say the authentication codes are invalid.

I have tried to update the Authenticator time sync, but it says it was already updated.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / stocks.exchange withdrawal canceled by admin??? on: May 30, 2018, 02:39:09 AM
Today I tried to move some ITNS coins to my new wallet. Yesterday I tested it with 2 coins and the transfer was successful. Today I tried to move the remaining balance (400k+) and the withdrawal was canceled by an admin.

I've opened a ticket but of course no response yet. Any idea why they would cancel?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Two 1080TI's and 7 AMD RX580s only making ~$15 a day on nice hash??? on: March 01, 2018, 08:11:47 AM
Well, now there are several coins which could be have nice 5$ from gtx1080ti
which together means 10$, your 7x RX 580 even o cryptonight will be about 15-16$ per day
So you should indeed make 25$

What coins and miner would you recommend I switch the 1080ti's to? Should I keep the RX580 rig running nicehash? Been pretty disappointed... all together made $15.98 yesterday
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Two 1080TI's and 7 AMD RX580s only making ~$15 a day on nice hash??? on: March 01, 2018, 05:28:39 AM
I have a gaming computer with dual EVGA 1080TI's that are slightly over clocked and a mining rig running 7 AMD RX 580 8 gig with factory clock settings plus the gaming rig is CPU mining with an I8700k. Both machines are running nicehash and combined I am only making $15 to $16.00 a day. Does this seem low? I was really hoping for $20 to $25 a day. I have the RX580 rig mining Equihash only since a lot of the other algorithms it would switch to made even less money.

Still trying to figure out what specs I should set the RX580s to so I can over clock them. I am running Adrenaline drivers on them.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What happens when I blockchain gets too big? on: February 22, 2018, 05:31:39 AM
Take Bytecoin right now. Their blockchain is over 9 gigs to download. How big will it be in 20 or 30 years? (assuming its still around).  What solutions are going to be in place for people to download and store such a massive file?

Now pretend you have 20-30 different coins all with massive blockchains.

After much trouble shooting and wasting time I finally figured out the problem with my machine. It was a faulty SATA cable that was powering my SSD.

First clue: the miner crashing and the computer restarting to bios. I didn't put two and two together at the time though.

I tried to uninstall the blockchain drivers and reinstall the latest AMD drivers but that turned into a massive clusterfuck of corruption.

Went to format windows and kept getting a bunch of errors. Windows wouldn't reinstall claiming my harddrive was MSR format instead of GPT.  Went into diskpart and had a ton of issues getting diskpart to even recognize the drive. Sometimes it would, sometimes it wouldn't. After about 10 tries I finally got it converted to GPT and began installing windows. 1/2 way through there was an error saying the resources weren't available to install, blah blah.

Tried it again and Windows didn't recognize the SSD at all. Back into diskpart, wouldn't find it. Restarted and it popped up, tried to format back to GPT but got an error. By this time I was heavily suspecting a problem with the SSD, thinking it had gone bad. Tried install one more time and got an error. Gave up and was going to order a new SSD. One of my buddies asked if I had tried a different cable and I told him no, it was a new cable and I figured a bad cable would be very unlikely.

Then I remembered it only booting into BIOS after crashing until it was power cycled again. Hmmm... points to hard drive. Then I remembered when I changed to EVGA power supplies I put the SSD on it's own SATA cable, one I hadn't used before. Hmm, well WTF, might as well give it a shot.

Changed cable. Flawless Windows 10 installation. Loaded latest AMD driver, shut down and plugged in all 7 GPU's. Restarted expecting a bunch of problems as I've always faced before. Nope!! Everything came up perfectly... almost too good to be true.

Machine is now mining ITNS coin and has been stable going on 2 hours. Woohoo!
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AHHHHH Nicehash Legacy is making me pull my hair out!! on: February 19, 2018, 10:17:46 AM
And with GPU 6 turned off nicehash crashed again 45 minutes after I left... UGH!! $4500 bucks in this machine and I've spent more on fuel going to restart it than the damn thing has made me.

It was running fine with 4 GPU's that were split between two 750w Corsair PSU's. They would only accommodate 2x 8 pin VGA plugs each so I replaced them with two EVGA 1000w and added 3 more GPU's.

So it looks as if the problem lies somewhere going from 4 GPU's to adding additional. 4G is turned on in the motherboard bios. I've swapped risers, I don't think they are the problem.

Sitting here watching the rig mine for a few minutes and nicehash is restarting itself every 4-5 minutes at the current rate

GetSummary exception: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:5000

I am running Windows 10 Pro.
I am pretty sure it is the #6. When I saw the machine this morning it was the only one with the fan still spinning (all the others were stopped) and the machine was completely locked up....
Try to check your Win 10 version, Open Run type Winver and hit enter. I suggest using Win 10 latest update 1709.

If you sure that the GPU 6 is causing your problem, try to disable it when mining, you can disable it using device manager or hit number of your GPU on Claymore if you are using Claymore.

Yes, you need to increase your Virtual Memory, at least 16 Gb.

2000 Watt PSU is enough for your 8 Cards, but maybe something wrong with powering scheme.

System info says my Windows 10 build is 16922 version 1709. I only have 7 GPU's and have 56 gigs of virtual memory available.  Just drove the 20 minutes to reboot the miner again since it crashed. I came into the room to find myself staring at the motherboard BIOS screen. There was a big WTF. Exited out of it and it rebooted back into the bios. Cut the power and it restarted into Windows 10.

What does [ComputeDeviceManager.Query] CudaDevicesDetection found no devices. CudaDevicesDetection returned: CUDA error in func 'CudaDetection::QueryDevices' at line 17 : CUDA driver version is insufficient for CUDA runtime version mean??

I am running Windows 10 Pro.

I am pretty sure it is the #6. When I saw the machine this morning it was the only one with the fan still spinning (all the others were stopped) and the machine was completely locked up. On the monitor windows had a a prompt that said some time of error. It may have been opencl or something along those lines but i have plenty of virtual memory enabled. When I googled the error it got results indicating from others who've seen it that their power supplies weren't large enough. But I have dual 1000w power supplies so there should be plenty.

What are the chances I got a faulty GPU?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AHHHHH Nicehash Legacy is making me pull my hair out!! on: February 19, 2018, 05:49:12 AM
Have you tried running the rig only with the 6 stable GPUs?
Could be the slower one, most of the time, problems are caused by factory defects.

I haven't, but all the GPU's are stable when I run Claymore Miner for ITNS coin... so I wouldn't think there is a problem with the GPU itself ?

Well I take that back. The Claymore miner crashed too. UGH. Guess I will try removing GPU 6 and see what happens

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / AHHHHH Nicehash Legacy is making me pull my hair out!! - RESOLVED on: February 19, 2018, 03:34:10 AM
SCROLL DOWN FOR RESOLUTION POST

Nicehash legacy miner keeps crashing. Locks the entire system up forcing me to drive 20 minutes (one way) to manually restart it.

Specs:

XFX AMD Radeon RX 580 8 Gig cards x 7
Asus Z270-A motherboard
Dual EVGA 1000w power supplies
AMD Blockchain drivers
The GPU's are all running on stock settings, no over clocking or any modding. Figured I wanted to get the rig 100% stable before I tried any overclocking.

I had been running only four RX 580's on Nicehash and had it working pretty well (stable at least). Yesterday afternoon I put in new power supplies and added three additional RX 580's.  Now Nicehash is locking up/crashing every couple of hours. Thinking it might be a problem when changing algorithms I tried disabling them all except for equihash and it just locked up again!

The only thing I can find in the log file that might be an issue is:

[ComputeDeviceManager.Query] CudaDevicesDetection found no devices. CudaDevicesDetection returned: CUDA error in func 'CudaDetection::QueryDevices' at line 17 : CUDA driver version is insufficient for CUDA runtime version.

To complicate things further, most of the cards get about a 300 h/s rate but about 50% of the time GPU 6 will only have a 150 or 200 h/s. I've tried replacing the PCI-E riser with no difference.  When I run Claymore miner for intense coin, all 7 GPU's get about 620-650 h/s.

I'm not really sure what else I can do or try at the moment to fix the problem with Nicehash. Can anyone recommend a more stable but equally profitable mining program & pool I can point these GPU's to?  Tried of driving across down tonight so I just ran the ITNS Claymore miner but that will only make me about $7 bucks per 24 hours and seems like a waste of resources for  7 RX 580s. Luckily I get free power (why it's across town) but still.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Nicehash AMD miner crashes every night around 3 AM, requiring PC reboot on: February 14, 2018, 11:53:06 AM
Running a Nicehash AMD legacy miner on a rig with four RX 580s.

Every night between 2 and 4 AM something happens to the rig where it loses it's connection and stops mining. When this happens it can no longer be remotely accessed and requires a physical power cycle to get running again. Makes it a real bitch when you're 400 miles away from the machine.

Any idea what the problem may be? The log file says:

"No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:4000"

OK fine it can't connect whatever, but why would that knock the whole computer system offline requiring a restart?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / NVIDIA EVGA 1080 TI's running at different temps? Is one going to bake itself? on: February 14, 2018, 12:20:16 AM
I've got an ibuypower computer with two Nvidia EVGA 1080TI's in it running nicehash when the computer isn't in use. One of the GPU's is at 84*C and the other stays at 75*C. Any idea why there is such a difference between them, and how can I set the temperature limits for the cards?  What is the max safe temp for these cards? Unfortunately the computer is 400 miles away and I can't remotely access it to make any changes until Friday. So hopefully I'm not nuking one of my brand new cards.

thank you for your help

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Nicehash AMD miner... extremely low hash rate?? on: February 12, 2018, 07:24:56 PM
I have a rig with 8 gig AMD RX 580 and decided to try out Nicehash on it. After a couple hours of benchmarking it started mining and the cards are only getting 295 to 300 h/s each. Why is this so low? Less than 1/2 the h/s when mining other coins...

Also looks like the card temps are getting really hot... 82*C but my fan speeds are only running at 40%??   And if I try to change any settings in the miner program that effect the GPU's the whole system freezes up.  Running AMD blockchain drivers
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ONE PCIE cable for two GPU's? on: February 12, 2018, 10:19:22 AM
You can use CPU power connector from one of your PSUs to get 2 more PCIe power connectors with special splitter cable (price is about $5 on ebay).

can you post a link to this?

will the 2nd power supply still be able to be connected with the dual power supply splitter cable?
