161  Economy / Auctions / Re: The 3rd Round Auction for the AntMiner S1 Dual Blades, 120 units, 24 hours on: December 07, 2013, 06:47:18 AM
Does anyone know how to get UPS to upgrade a shipment to saturday delivery? I called and asked and they said they couldn't change an in-transit shipment. If only they'd let me pickup from their Ontario facility in the morning, as that's just a 20 minute drive.

162  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Chili – 30+GH/s BFL based Bitcoin Miner Assembly on: December 07, 2013, 01:22:30 AM
Can someone respond to my question about the temperature readout shown in the mining software? Is it the hottest sensor on the board or a specific sensor?
Hottest of the ASICs.

hrm ok.... then I have an oddball chili somewhere =( in a really cold room, most of them run 55C or less.... but I have one that sticks out like a soar thumb at 65-66C in same temp.

Do you know if the devices are mapped correctly in bfgminer? like if I disable the hot one and look for the one w/o the "working" leds blinking...that should be the one?

Or is mapping incorrect just like how it was for GPU's...

Maybe that Chili has a chip that sits too low and isn't getting good contact with the cooler?

Hottest of the ASICs.

Can you give an ETA on a firmware update that would show per-chip temps and stats? Even better if VRM temps could also be reported separately somehow.

My tracking numbers are showing up in MyChoice. They haven't shipped yet but they have been created.

Check Table View again. I have two tracking numbers for each package. One was never actually shipped. I guess they had to correct and reprint.
165  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: December 06, 2013, 03:50:32 PM
^ sorry, but this calculation is just totally wrong. You paid an equivalent of 16,000 € if I'm right. And you mined an equivalent of how much since August? 20,000 €?

If the value of BTC had not risen, he'd be facing a major loss no matter how you look at it. Same for stuff bought now at the price Tytus is asking.
166  Economy / Auctions / Re: The 3rd Round Auction for the AntMiner S1 Dual Blades, 120 units, 24 hours on: December 06, 2013, 09:32:05 AM
Oops, my bad. I just realized that Calendar View probably doesn't show anything until a delivery date can be estimated. When I switch to Table View, I see that my two packages actually shipped yesterday, Dec 5!

That's great!!

I just checked mine and there are zero packages on my way :$ arrgggggh.. So much for bidding higher seems to be useless! (Unless UPS hasn't updated their system).

I guess you should have bid 4.5 before I did. Smiley  They have to ship 34 other units before getting to yours. I think they shipped a smaller qty Dec 5 than they will Dec 6.

It's now 4:45pm Dec 6 in China, and I still see nothing coming my way. I should get the 10th and 11th units to be shipped this round, so unless they're shipping out of order or UPS is slow to update, they've shipped fewer than 10 of 120 units so far.
169  Economy / Auctions / Re: The 3rd Round Auction for the AntMiner S1 Dual Blades, 120 units, 24 hours on: December 06, 2013, 08:44:33 AM
Any of the highest bidders that haven't received your tracking numbers yet?

I signed up for UPS My Choice, but don't see any packages headed my way yet.

Does that service cost? I noticed there's also a Premium version... I signed up for the regular one and it mentions some auto-renewal stuff but it never asked for any credit card so I'm afraid there will charge me somehow???

The regular service is free, and according to geoloudon should still let you see if a package is coming your way.

171  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: December 06, 2013, 04:17:20 AM
I think we are trying to offer hardware at a price that will support fast ROI - 2 months if prices hold up, less if prices continue to climb.  Those that complained about prices back in September/October got very quiet as BTC skyrocketed.  This is great - we cheer for our customers who had the courage to pre-order with us and now reap the benefit!

At this time, the only pre-order-able offer from me is going to be reels (deliver mid-late February) at $5/chip, or full mines (minimum 250TH, contact me if you are interested).  I will not be able to provide CC processing for chips by the reel, sorry.  Oh - after the debacle of last minute cancellations on reels, I won't be offering a refund policy on them.  They are Non Cancel - Non Return items.

I plan to turn on sales of H-cards tomorrow.  Remember, V1 H-cards will take a bit longer to get, but our manufacturer is very fast.  I will sell as many of those as you guys demand.  I do have some V1-V2 M-boards also, so I can offer some old-style full rigs.  Note that I am not planning on opening sales for full new rigs just yet - though it may happen.  The main intention is to support our V1 & V3 rig customers.  New style H-cards (marked V2.2) can ship immediately and are not pre-mined.

I'll turn on sales for USB miners maybe by this weekend, so you can buy them for stocking stuffers Smiley

There's also been a fair bit of demand for faulty fix-it-yourself cards.  I think I'll find a way to sell those, as I have a few hundred sitting in boxes.

Best,
Dave

What growth rate are you using for that prediction? It is very misleading if you're assuming difficulty will not rise during those 2 months.
172  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: December 06, 2013, 01:03:03 AM
Assuming delivery Dec 16, I wouldn't pay more than ~0.75 BTC per H-board. It might be time to move on to other manufacturers.
173  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: December 06, 2013, 12:53:29 AM
Bad news is that the price is much higher. New H-cards will sell for 850€ a piece + VAT.

Yeah that's a shame. With delivery Dec 16, I wouldn't pay more than 550€ including tax. I guess it's time to move on to BitMain's AntMiner or BitMine's CoinCraft.
174  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Chili – 30+GH/s BFL based Bitcoin Miner Assembly on: December 06, 2013, 12:44:06 AM
Earlier this week, I recieved 4x more Chilis from another forum member. The hashrates reported to me from the other member before taking delivery were 29-31ghs.  I asked for them without the heatsinks, since I already had 4x extra Antec Shelfs.  I used the above method again which I posted about before and I am now getting between 32 and 35 ghs.  Seems like it's quite an improvement, if I may say so myself!

Also, one of my original 4 Chilis is acting very different than the rest.  It always shows 58-59C and it is my highest performing one at around 36.5 ghs.  Very interesting.

My original 4x are still getting between 34 and 36 ghs (and the one which runs at 58C has been running above 36.5 ghs for some reason)

Have you tried adding airflow on the undersides as well?
175  Economy / Auctions / Re: The 3rd Round Auction for the AntMiner S1 Dual Blades, 120 units, 24 hours on: December 06, 2013, 12:27:47 AM
Hmm.  I have not received any notification from UPS.  Any cause for concern,  do you think?

I am registered with UPS. They notify me of any shipment going to my address:

http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/bussol/browse/personal/delivery_options/my_choice.html?Wt.mc_id=Sol_HP_MyCSolToolAnimated_P3&Wt.ac=%20Sol_HP_MyCSolToolAnimated_P3

Do you have the $40/yr premium service?
176  Economy / Auctions / Re: The 3rd Round Auction for the AntMiner S1 Dual Blades, 120 units, 24 hours on: December 06, 2013, 12:16:18 AM
Does anyone have information about when these will start to ship?   Did i miss an update?
Some of them should have shipped today and the rest tomorrow.
But it doesn't look as there where any units sent today.
I guess all of them will be sent tomorrow.

No, that doesn't make sense. Otherwise, what's the difference between those that paid first/bid higher and those who do otherwise (per as their own initial shipping rules)?
It's most likely lack of updates what's going on....

okay guys, I got notification from UPS about a shipment from China:

Multiple Packages:2

177  Economy / Auctions / Re: The 3rd Round Auction for the AntMiner S1 Dual Blades, 120 units, 24 hours on: December 05, 2013, 08:05:33 AM
Or a more general "Status" column, that could show things like "Insufficient payment", "Insufficient info", "Shipped Dec 5".

BITMAIN, would you be willing to add a column to the list above, "Date Shipped", and update it at the end of each day? That might save you some emails/PMs.
179  Economy / Auctions / Re: The 3rd Round Auction for the AntMiner S1 Dual Blades, 120 units, 24 hours on: December 05, 2013, 02:10:11 AM
Payment deadline has passed, and surprisingly 18 units remain unpaid.

Looks like people where biding without having the cash ready. :-(

How did you compile that number?
Did you go through all the payment addresses?

Yes, some quick scripting to check the addresses in the list.
