I think I mined 5000 AID for 24hrs with 65mh

I was solo mining and was getting very unlucky (and the diff was staying relatively high) so I pointed this "test" machine averaging 10 MH/s to maya.aidbit.net around midnight my time last night. It's now 9:30 AM and I've only seen one payout, that's right, only one, for 18.83912107 in that entire time (about 3 hours ago around 6:30 AM - so it's not like I'm waiting on rolling shares).

Going back to solo mining.   Angry

BTW, with the current diff of 64.8681 showing in Mining Information, the estimated network hashrate should be around 5.8 GH/s. Is that really possible? Really realistic? The total of the aidbit pools is around 1.5 GH/s. All the third party and P2Pools are down, so that would mean we've got around 4 GH/s in solo mining going on?  Huh

Remember that the reward depends on the lucky of the pool. Perhaps you have too much power working and getting more rejections. Try to lower the power of the GPU, you're not going to lose much hashrate and you work a lot more stable and fresh.
GPU-1100=11.5mhs  -3mhs in rejected= 8.5mhs working.
GPU-950 =  10mhs   -0,5mhs in rejected= 9.5mhs working.

9 hours with only one payout on a pool with more than a third of total network (known) hashrate would be such bad luck that you'd have better chances of hitting the lottery!

My configuration on this machine is optimized to the hilt, and proven on various groestl coins (with AidBit as well before the fork) and nothing's been changed - no need to, it's a performer. Wink

That having been said, my solo mining last 24 hour stretch was bad luck indeed.

It's currently mining MYR while we're updating, and pulling them down just as scheduled.

Your ideas and suggestions are good, but, in my case, with the care I've taken with setup and documentation, I don't think the issue is local.

with 4.8mhs in felix.aidbit.net

MANDATORY UPDATE to 1.0.0.2
OP UPDATED

Hi,  are all the forks merged into version 1002 or cutoff at block 85,000? The pool that I was in is still on the old version 1000 fork.  Will I lose all the coins mined after the 85,000 block?  I pray that dev would do the merge so I don't lose the few thousand coins that I mined since the fork.

Pray for Atheistcoin? The irony  Grin

More like crying.... I lost 23,041 coins ( or $134 worth of electricity cost for 3 days) mining in http://cryptohunger.com:81/.   The pool is run by someone goes by the name srcxxx.

The pool uses optimized kernel that give 5-10% more hashrate, but the fee ( I was finally able to calculate based on confirmed blocks and payout differences for each hour ) is 8%.  So basically, you get the same payout as any other pool because the higher hashrate is offset by the high pool fee.

Hi, that's a huge shame, and we feel for your loss, however we can not be held responsible for pools who didn't update .. especially if those pools are not listed by us. The problem is not AtheistCoin, the problem is some of these pools run too many coins or their owner gets too lazy to frequently check for updates and announces. After all it's the pool owners responsibility to keep the pool up to date, we gave a 60 hour notice, but this s was apparently not enough of a warning for these pools.

The result was more then 50% of the network hammering on in the old chain and forking, with other words: the pool owners are not just your problem, they are our problem, and alt coins' in general too. It's all profit driven and to make a quick buck they need to run multiple coins, they seem to forget that with every coin they host they take on a responsibility to at least daily check for updates for the coin they host, that's like 30 sec per day per coin .. but apparently even that is already too much to ask.

Currently the only pool we are absolutely certain of always being up to date is our own pool. When other pools confirm to be running 1.0.0.2 we will also list them as certain in the OP.

P.S.

$134 dollars for 3 days of electricity?  So you are saying you use $1400 per month in power? Where on earth do you live and how much Mh/s are we talking?
This pool has had only 246mh/s of a worker  $164 is for ten days +- of consumption for that hashrate

Correct?

YES

Dear developers,

Please provide a list of nodes on the correct fork for us to use (via "addnode" or perhaps even "connect" in .conf). Or upload a "correct" blockchain data files.
Today my pool encountered "invalid checkpoint error" again. After deleting data and re-downloading it became normal.
But on my windows machine I deleted, re-downloaded and am getting the "invalid checkpoint error" again!
I assume these problems happen because some nodes are on incorrect fork and it is a matter of luck to which node my wallet connects.
But can't you perhaps increase the protocol version or something similar?

These problems are quite similar to Diamondcoin issues when they were switching to POS+POW.
I remember that they issued a patch to ignore nodes on "old blockchain".

I'm quite worried that even though I'm on correct fork, perhaps in 1 hour I'll hit the "invalid checkpoint".

Thank you

Actually, we've changed the protocol version and are ignoring the older versions. Unfortunately we're experiencing new forks and we're still investigating what is going on. Master Checkpoint Node is trying hard to keep everything together for now.
You can connect directly to one of our pool nodes.

Code:
#aidbit.conf
connect=maya.aidbit.net
connect=felix.aidbit.net
connect=kei.aidbit.net

This way you'll limit connection to other nodes.

I know it's frustrating, but it's no better on this side. Smiley

Regards,

AidBit

Well, I apologize for my previous sarcasm in previous post Embarrassed .... I have to admit that the DEV is very committed, although errors he is without sleep several days to resolve. Atheistcoin you the same thing happened and dev decides to ignore who does not update.

roadmap is a lie, It's end of July, nothing new release !

We still have 4 days to End of July, isn't it? Wink We don't want to push a release a few days earlier if we still find something we aren't satisfied with. You could check about the screenshot of our works here.

Btw everyone deserves a nice relax at the weekend in this vacation time, after we have worked so hard, right? Wink

If you want fun releases, go to Aidbit, you have a fork every three minutes...It should be called forkcoin

NOT COOL
Welcome to "Club of waste time" Now people asking for nodes...

I believe it is safe to mine AID on my pool. Feel free to join. The blocks are confirmed. Payouts have not come through yet, but I am not expecting any problems. If there will be some problems with payouts, I'll pay you myself.

NOTE: AID Block matures in 500 minutes, so if you start mining right now - you'll only get reward in like 10 hours.
Thanks, but I am not going to return to risk a lot of hours lost in that currency. Continually has problems and makes you lose money
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AID] AidBit | Digital-currency redefined | POW/POS | Groestl | Charity on: July 26, 2014, 05:07:22 PM

Never mind. I have integrated your change in a way that it does not break all other coins.
https://github.com/srcxxx/node-stratum-pool/commit/172bd3483be8b79262b742c2dcaa0111c037e093

And now I'm happy to announce that Groestl Optimized Pool finally supports AidBit!
You should be getting 20.0 MH/s on R9 290.
See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=652849

Thanks

on my rig I earn only about 7870
My 280X gain nothing and I lost about 6950
unconvincing given the constraint of having to undermine this pool
Yesterday, two people we were in the pool and we got 252, we will not be payment ... After the first holder do not charge ... We Continue undermining and we got another good pile of blocks, do we charge nothing ....
This only has happened to me with this currency in your pool, I have always been very happy with Atheistcoin, dokdocoin etc. ..You should have removed that currency quickly if such serious problems

I have not managed a single currency and i have 2 updates in less than 24h ... I have mined in all the pools, none has sent nothing.
I´m out .

Thanks in advance.
In Cryptocointalk you can try to sell, but only buy from Uncloz and a single person. The other we are waiting for Vaultex ... you see that mystery!

I cannot understand what is happening to them, took several days observing the development of the currency and i encounter that are shocked by the prices down and looking for investment for solution of low prices.
The first thing, is that it does not have a month of life, keep kalm
The second thing is to have the shark attack, not whales. These sharks are lowering the price to buy cheap, my recommendation is to buy all at a price below 2000.
The third point is that something freshcoin is a lowcost, must approach that my 7970 &7950 dan faith with 10º less and power supply dont burn Grin

I am fan of talkcoin and may not serve much my words, but I say that because we have spent a very similar situation with lowering price scandalous and long, but have faith in your DEV, he has worked a new algorithm, new mining.he has a work plan that all of them liked, because otherwise they are not here. Let him work. The developer only let me tell you a couple of things: Do not lose time here wondering what to do. Let us help you if you offer..

Now 730 satos in Bittrex...No time to Cry time to BTC buy buy buy cheap freshcoin of sharky

What about switching to PoS? At this block reward approx. 1.5M coins created every month, 6.5M coins already minted, so miners keep dumping and price is bleeding. Also do you think is it possible to transfer files in blockchain as Syscoin aim to do https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=587080.0

No offence devs i love your work you are doing great, just a few opinions of myself.

It will be never POS for several reasons.

- Security
There is the nothing at stake problem and I am not convinced from what I observed in the source code.
POS is in need of an independent audit to verify its security.

- POS vs. Ideolgy in Talkcoin
Talkcoin is more than currency and not a pump&dump coin, it's a P2P Communications Currency.
In 1, 2, 5, 10, 100 years time or more people won't chat anymore because all exchanges will more closed and nobody will be able to buy TAC.
People can always mine a POW coin, so they always will be able to talk.

You think we are going to be mining with GPU's in 100 years time?

Why will exchanges close down in 100 years?

Exchange don't need 100 years to close down.

Source: Mtgox (https://www.mtgox.com/)

So by the developer's rationale, when there are no more exchanges, the only people that can obtain TAC are people with mining rigs...

Hmmmm...

You wont be able to sell TAC to anybody, therefore it wont hold any value...

And the miners will be voting for higher block rewards because hey, the community are all miners and there is little investment...

Hold on... We don't have to wait 100 years for that, we have that right now...

So what are we going to do to fix the problem?

I am with a coin that I can win 1BTC before 30 days ... and does not have exchange, the coins are bought investors of truth, not speculators of medium hair. I have no problem now that the voting system is going to be deleted, but the most healthy, reasonable and desirable, is to make a reset to the system of rewards and attracting miners, that is what we are lacking.

The tac market has not been without investors, they threw the kicked in the ass forcing prices down blatantly ...
