Wow, so all you guys that were talking about the price being too high went and bought a 821. Guess the the price wasn't as high as we thought.

Well I did not buy one, I won't mention that I knew I had no chance... but still!

You had a chance because about 30 minutes ago I had one in the cart and went all the way to the payment screen and I just couldn't justify the price. As much as I like Avalon products I cant justify 173 days to ROI. But I will be all over the next batch!

I hope Blokforge can beat that price. on the 741's sale there were about $150-200 cheaper because of the shipping being free. So I will speculate that the Blokforge will sell the 821's for 3500-3700. But i would like to see it go for 3k.

Dumb q. does the existing controller that works on the 741 will work on the 821s?

Yes. As far as everyone has been saying, it can control both models.

My question would be can one controller be used for both when both are connected. For example if I have two 741's in one usb port can I connect two 821's in another usb port. Would be nice if this could work I woulndt have to buy another controller.

Also if the price is above 3.5K I don't think I will purchase a 821. Thats almost 4k once you factor in a power supply and possible controller.
5  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] GPU's and Asics for small mining farm on: January 05, 2018, 01:56:21 AM
Hello I am looking to buy some mining equipment to start my small farm. I will be looking for miners from Avalon, Ebang Ebit, and Bitmain.
I am willing to buy multiple types of GPU's. Would like to buy a 8 580's or 570's and or 8 1060's. Will also buy other cards as well. The goal is to have at least two asics and two GPU rigs.
Just PM or post me what you have and the condition.

I am very interested in the Avalon 741's since that is what I currently have.

I live in Charleston, South Carolina of the United States. If anyone is close by I can pay cash everyone else I will pay using PayPal or Escrow.

When I have what I need from a certain category it will be crossed out below. Thanks everyone!

GPU's

mining rigs

ASIC

Blah! I got the email they were back instock, clicked the link, said 2 left, hit add to cart, said out of stock. Damn these slow fingers! Lol!

I actually got to the checkout but had to run a get my wallet. When I came back and put my information in and clicked proceed it was too late. SMH

There was no criteria for the private link. Earlier in the thread Blokforge said it was a mistake while trying to merge the wait list. I believe they said they have a new method.

This sounds to be a good idea. Just let's us know where on the forum to look. Also I would love to do a full review of the 821. Also not to sure how the lotto would work.

I want to start out with 4 741's then progress from there. I missed the pre-order sale on cryptouniverse today but I live in the US so Blokforge should have the same pre-order sale soon. I have heard great things about the reliability of the Avalons. How has your experience been so far?

I hope they are a reseller. I thought I was doing a good thing by buying from an American website instead of Chinese. Thought it would be a little safer. Well does anybody know any real site to buy miners?

Hello all I'm new to mining and I bought one this miners just not from www.pangolinminer.com. I used whatsminer.net... I used PayPal to pay and received a receipt and everything but after reading on here I am worried I just got scammed. Does anyone know if the whatsminer.net site is a scam? Thanks. Prompt reply would be appreciated so I can cancel the order and just get my miners from pangolinminer.com.
