many of those that are more educated, have a broader economic understanding beyond IT tech, know that this kind of speculative cryptocurrency cant be the future.
I love leading statements like this, insinuating people lack intelligence or knowledge for believing something different that OP. This puts people in a place where they're more likely to disagree with you.
The price fluctuation has to do with a multitude of factors, none of which suggest that bitcoin is collapsing, and is more likely the opposite.
Laws are being introduced to address taxation and regulation, and exchange hacks are an issue with Mt. Gox double dipping bitcoin prices(quite literally), and the most recent Korean exchange hack caused the beginning of this current downward trend. These issues suggest mass adoption and popularity, not the opposite. Yes, the price is taking a hit, but it's because it's desirable for those involved in the crypto community and people outside of the crypto community don't understand what events cause prices to drop, they only see the price drop and it scares them. Rightfully so! You shouldn't invest if you don't have knowledge on the way the investment works. But as exchanges gain increased security and regulations and laws are solidified, the price should steadily increase to interest new investors.
Overall, I'm sure this has happened many times over the years that bitcointalk has been active, and to suggest changing the forum when it's our opportunity to shine, is absurd to me.
There is a strong correlation between bitcoin prices and new user registration/forum spam, and when I suggest now is your opportunity, I mean it. Now is the time when we'll have lower registration, lower spam, etc. because prices are so low. If there are less registrations and spam, the forum can become close to what it was meant to be, a place to discuss bitcoin, like.. actual conversations!
