It's so hars to earn merits now. I already have 140+ activities but still I haven't earn merit. Not a single one. Old accounts are so lucky to have been promoted for only by the number of their activities. What do you guys think I should do to have merit?

You are not doing enough to earn merit IMO.
List of members achieved 0 to 100 and plus merits <=== there are no luck. You need to be a member for the community.

update:
Just had a glance on your post history.
Have you read the topic Merit & new rank requirements yet?
Do you realize what this (below) means?
I'm hoping that this system will increase post quality by:
 - Forcing people to post high-quality stuff in order to rank up. If you just post garbage, you will never get even 1 merit point, and you will therefore never be able to put links in your signature, etc.
 - Highlighting good posts with the "Merited by" line.

While we will not be directly moderating this, I encourage people to give merit to posts that are objectively high-quality, not just posts that you agree with.

I'm having a hard time to find a good post from your post history to award you a merit (although I have 0 sMerits now). If you can point me one then I owe you a merit. How about that?

Anyway, here is my friendly suggestion... Change your posting habits.

Be happy be at peace. Looking forward to BTC at $1M

If you did, good. If not, why ask? There's a lot of infos regarding merits there.

I think you should stop asking us how, and start asking yourself. Man we can't help you earn merits, merits are like respect "earned and not given".

First, nearly every single thread you've posted in is shit. Avoid these threads because few people with smerit care about threads like "Sell or hold bounty tokens?/Time to buy or sell ETH?/Can Ethereum survive?" other than the fact that they junk up the forum. Instead, focus your efforts on threads that generate real conversation which also requires you to put in much more effort into your posts than you have been..

Seriously, what makes you think any of the posts you've made have any value to the community? They're 1-2 sentences that either agree or disagree with very little engagement or effort made. Your 140 posts would take less than an hour to post consecutively, and there lies your biggest problem. You see 140 activity and think it's a lot, but it takes you just as much time to post all 140 of those as it does for one person to make a well constructed analytical post, try harder.

Did you come here to cry out loud to get a merit? I would be so pissed if anyone gives it to you. You receiving merit for the post like that is like a punch in the face to me. Unfortunately, some ppl here support that kind of behavior and we see posts like yours more and more often.

Merit begging= ignored list of many.
This is the formula you should never forget.
Now, in order to follow my therapist's advice, I will answer politely to you. Look man, the merit system was implemented with the only goal of stopping shitposters to rank-up. Given your post history, no offense, but you are a shitposter, so the only way of earning some merits to you is to change your mindset. Be prepared, for it is going to take a while.
- First of all you will need to read a lot, to follow some threads with information and discussion in here, to understand the mindset of the people in here, their worries, etc.
- Second, you will need to read a lot, topics related to this thing you are more interested in, I mean, If you, for instance, are interested in mining, that's nice, learn all that you can about mining.
- Third of all, you will need to read a lot, the forum rules are your new sacred book.
- Fourth, you can write, but only if you feel you have something substantial to add and you are contributing.  Do not forget to read the whole thread before answering, to read the quotes, if you want to participate in any conversation, then you will need to listen to others first.
- Fifth, build your own identity. Discuss and think with education.

As in any society, if you want others to recognize you (and since you're asking about merits, to give you something), first you need to give something: knowledge, contribution, patience, good argument opinions... You will need first to become a part of this society, so be smart and observe it first.

You want merit?

Give up on the airdrops - you posted that they weren't any good for you. Read about Bitcoin and how it works, and participte in some of the newbie discussion threads tht I'm starting on the beginner's bord.

Mine merit making is also not so active, but I do not actually hurry for it so much. But to see someone who still didn't get a single merit during all those months really surprise me. You obviously do not try too hard. You should take people who earned a lot of merits already as nullius to learn from them about quality posting. Good luck!

Try to post outside altcoin discussion. Even if you post is good it will most likely be hidden among the thousands of daily posts in that section.

Contribute and help the forum in anyway you can. In that way merit will come because of your hardwork, this forum will be your source of information to start and better not to focus earning merit or it will make it more hard to earn rather than focusing on contributing. Positive mindset will be your first task and believe you can do lots of things especially when you have lots of skills (if not then better to start learning from simple things to complicated or hard to learn that takes time to fully achieved.

Have you just copy-pasted some parts of my own quote? This is plagiarism, and it is against the rules.
