Just a thought,
BTC was made with a small budget by one or a few peeps as an experiment...
experiment was to test lots of things..it passed almost all tests..but had some major flaws discovered after a few years of BTC launch
satoshi has to choose, keep patching up early code, but this will make things worse long term, and he has a bigger vision , he realises BTC cant do it and he needs a bigger fund.
so he decides to create a new coin...but cant use the satoshi name as it will have a very bad effect on BTC price. How many devs have made more than 1coin and been succesful with them both? dev making new coin pisses off old coin community. (if cobbles made a new coin , ltc would die , if evan made a new coin dash would die)

what if satoshi is directly involved with eth....
pump btc price to ath at same time do a first ever crypto ico...no need to touch btc premine  Wink

then theres the main man... Nick, The last known public communication from Nick Szabo was in November 2013 ( same time as btc ath ), leaving many to wonder whether he would ever post again. The seven months silence seems to have followed increasing attention on Nick Szabo after numerous suggestions that he might be Satoshi. In April 2014, researches from Aston University’s Centre for Forensic Linguistics claimed that forensic analysis of Bitcoin’s White Paper suggests that Nick Szabo was the author of the paper....https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/nick-szabo-bitcoin-founder-satoshi-nakamoto-breaks-silence-tweet/

ETH launches and Nick comes back  Wink...https://twitter.com/nickszabo4?lang=en-gb/           Nick Szabo ‏@NickSzabo4 Mar 2  Nick Szabo Retweeted George Hallam Why has Ethereum been headed towards the moon? It's computer science, not rocket science:
He makes an extremly rare appearance only for ETH...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Y3fWXA6d5k  - DEVCON1: History of the Blockchain - Nick Szabo

coincidentally at around same time btc weaknesses become increasing exploited.

Im begining to think we got satoshi with us  Smiley

That's more than "just a thought".

That's a Hollywood blockbuster starring Leo DiCaprio (Wolf of BlockChain)!

I think Ethereum is the Answer in the Cryptoworld, there was many trash Coin, now we got the Result and the Result is Ethereum. Just think about the bandwidth about, slockit is just a small part based on Ethereum. They bring physical and digital together. I look into a nice future with Ethereum, we all see a revolution in the digital World, im happy to be a Part of it Smiley

Enjoy the rise of Revolution Cool

........?!?!? And it say exactly when the moment ETH collapsed?!? I hope you're right in general ......

After the events in poloniex already all day already and I have no trust! Obviously, the whole thing with DDOS attacks was to keep the price of Ethereum and the whole thing is insiders!  Angry
It also reflected immediately on the price of ETH! For me it was a false start at Homestead!
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: March 08, 2016, 12:43:38 AM
Since when is the Homestead website up and running? Yesterday it still said "Frontier"  Shocked

Today:
https://www.ethereum.org

Yesterday:
https://web.archive.org/web/20160306020456/https://ethereum.org/

The site change was today. I know because I have been constantly checking the page throughout the day and first it was the Frontier page and then it changed to the Homestead page after the number of blocks required for Homestead have been reached. This is very exciting. I have never thought ETH could get this far. Next step would be ETH at $20 each, you'll see.  Roll Eyes

Currently ETH is 0.0227 in Poloniex! How do you explain the low cost and almost no interest in ethereum literally hours before the release of Homestead! For me personally it is a bit inexplicable. The price now had to be at least 0.03 +
The price continues to fall............... Huh
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage - Working Beta - Currency has been released on: November 23, 2015, 09:40:56 AM
When trying to access the http://explore.sia.tech/ gives me this: Get http://localhost:9000/explorer/status: dial tcp 127.0.0.1:9000: connection refused
Does anyone know what happened?
@Taek has long not been seen here! Is there reason to believe that the coin dies!
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage - Working Beta - Currency has been released on: November 19, 2015, 10:27:01 AM
One week nobody wrote! What's wrong with this innovative coin?
Hash rate (last 25 blocks) grow, Size of active file contracts grows and ... the price and interest fall!
Taek, will there be some upgrade, improvement or something ..... soon?\

Regards!
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency - 0.8.8.6 on: October 09, 2015, 10:19:05 AM
Pretty much done with the custom miner, iDunk on IRC is running a stability test.

EDIT: I should say milestone 2; the performance kinda sucks - needs more work.

Any details on performance? (And cpu load?)

Miner works now; the code for the stratum and general stuff is fully custom, as well. Clears 400H/s on 290X, meeting the first performance milestone, as the OpenCL has been improved.

Here it is: https://github.com/wolf9466/wolf-xmr-miner

Needs a little bit of WinSock code added before it's ready for a Windows build, but that's about it.

Is it possible to upload compiled miner somewhere or give instructions on how can I compile it?
Thanks for the great work!

Sure, compiling instructions right here: make
No, that's it. Clone the git and make.

I'm sorry, but I did not understand!
What is this "make"? No such executable file in you compilation!!!
If you a little more detail!

Make a build utility that uses Makefile as input. You get make as part of your OS (if your OS includes development tools) or along with however you do get your development tools (compilers, etc.) if it doesn't.

I have no compiler on my PC! That is why I asked if it is possible compiled file to get somewhere! Not all programmers are here!
Thanks!

I am thinking most of the hashing power is on 0.3.3.3 still. I'm pushing out a fix for the miner ASAP.

Taek, when can we expect that?
Thanks!

Start miner sia-gpu-miner.exe but after initialization give me a message "Mining 0.000MH/s  0 blocks mined HTTP error 500" and do not wants to start mining.

Nobody can help!
?!?!..We will obviously wait for new version GUI wallet 0.4.4  Grin
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage - Working Beta - Currency has been released on: October 07, 2015, 07:12:17 AM
At least several dozen times I said in previous posts, but no one believed! Nobody was able to help! These funds are not returned in my wallet, and in no way able to find them.

For some reason I thought your issue had been resolved. Can you provide the chain of events that led to the misplacement of coins?

Remember that coins will display as 0 until you unlock the wallet.

What ever! I did not write back one hour. I'm oblivious these 1000000 SC.
Currently I have a problem with the new GUI wallet 0.4.3.
Start new wallet and wait to be completely synchronized / block 18737 /, then unlock. Start miner sia-gpu-miner.exe but after initialization dont me a message "Mining 0.000MH/s  0 blocks mined HTTP error 500" and wants to start digging.
My *.bat file content:

@echo off
setx GPU_DEVICE_ORDINAL ""
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

start sia-gpu-miner -p 0 -d 0 -I 23 -C 25
start sia-gpu-miner -p 0 -d 1 -I 23 -C 25

What is this error and what to do to get things rolling?
Thanks!

That's what talk:

when ~ you will planing to release new wallet?
Thanks!

looks like version on github is already 0.4.3 (https://github.com/NebulousLabs/Sia), should new releases should be soon

New versions are being released like hot bread at a bakery yet peoples lost funds are not being addressed.

Has anyone actually lost funds on 0.4.x?
I've not seen it yet.

It was a known issue in 0.3.x but that should all be gone now.
