I only have 2 peers and the daemon won't sync. Suggestions?
Edit, is this the wallet backup directory, if I switch to a more recent Sia version?

Yes, that is the location of the wallet files themselves, not just the backup. You should be backing up that folder elsewhere for peace of mind. Also, I recommend using at least version 0.4.8 now, if not any of the 0.5 versions or the 0.6 release candidates. For those interested, I upgraded to a higher version by reloading the blockchain in the new version, while the contents of the whole wallet folder were copied into 5.2. Works like a charm now. Lively icons in the UI for free. |

42 days. There's a mining calculator on SiaPulse however the difficulty and block rewards aren't loading however it can be found at the explorer. http://siapul.se/page/toolshttp://explore.sia.tech/136 mh/s - 250,000 block reward - 501 TH difficulty = 42 days per block |

Can anyone tell me why it got so silent around Siacoin ?
I think the concept is great and everyone knows its a billion dollar market i just have some questions,
What the advantage that people will use Sia instead of for example dropbox ? I see its getting used more and more cause i looked at the
blockchain explorer.
One more question the
Total File Contract Cost 5,152,691 siacoins
Is that based on a month ? a week ? maybe a day ?

Lots of activity in the Slack channel, devs are there mostly on a daily basis. Your questions would be answered there. A better comparison for Sia may be Amazon S3, without which Dropbox is nothing since it does not actually provide storage so much as acts as a gatekeeper to the Amazon owned data centers. The ultimate goal is to provide enterprise level storage so companies similar to Dropbox would use Sia to store clients' data. Cheaper, more secure. |

How to send money from an old purse, he can not sync after the 21000 block  Not sure how old of a wallet you have but you should use the latest stable release and import the old wallet from there. |

Do note however that the developer of gominer has not released any prebuilt binaries and if you download that version you are trusting Riseman to provide a clean version.
Not saying he's necessarily untrustworthy but something to consider since this is crypto after all.

The Sia wallet is telling me my balance is too low when sending an amount smaller then the balance it shows. What to do?
