I've been away. Never stopped mining, but haven't been in "here".

I'm assuming everyone still here thinks Craig Wright is full of shit? I have some buddies pretty heavily invested buying into the hype and panicking.

So let me ask you guys this......

What has you convinced BTC has nothing to worry about?

(edit) "nothing" regarding Craig's claims.

Okay. Bitmain has added some s9i's in the mix now.
I ordered a 13 th/s model and as you can see once you apply the coupon.....well, it was hard to pass up. The 13.5 model was slightly more, but I don't feel it's a big enough difference.

I have a $400 coupon left over and I don't know that I want to spend BTC on anymore miners and wont' have enough BCH for another purchase.....so, I'm willing to trade this coupon for $100 in BTC.

@ccgllc we don't need comments about crap coins in this thread please!  mine on

Well... EXCUSE ME!  We had a member posting about how BCH had risen.  I responded on why, and how its likely just being pumped now, and why other pools deceive people - ending it on a pro Kano note.

If you don't mind, how about leaving the moderation comments to Kano.

Maybe this was interpreted wrong. At first read, it appeared as if you were promoting BCH over BTC and suggesting it was more profitable than Kano. I'm certain that was the only reason for any sort of "hostility"

EDIT: Yep, just went back and read it slower and I understand what you're saying. My mistake on the way I deciphered it the first time. I can't speak for Megaquake, however.

Yeah, I was merely pointing out that if I waited a few more days, I could have doubled my purchase. I only bought the shit because at the time it was what Bitmain had as a payment. Speculating is not my game, save it ccgllc.

BTC MINE ON WITH KANO-SAN !! BTC

I had to buy BCH to get my S9's from Bitmain. Since I purchased and was waiting for delivery to my wallet, they then added BTC and LTC to the mix. I hurry and offloaded the BCH I purchased at $641 to Bitmain at $761 thinking I did pretty good by waiting a few extra days. Now BCH is over $1100 damnit!!! This was just a week or so ago. Shitty thinking what I could have nearly doubled my buying power in that short amount of time. Just goes to show you how unpredictable things can be.....even when it's painted on the wall.

Oh, well. The first couple of S9's are up and running and the other 2 should be here shortly. Now.....let's crack this BTClock !!!

Whats the reasoning behind a dozen people posting block every time the pool hits one? Makes any real information hard to find and devalues this entire thread a fair bit. It reminds me of people clapping when the plane lands, its just supposed to happen that way.

Excitement, joy, gratitude..... things you may be lacking?

Seriously though, is it that bothersome? I'm fine with it. In fact, it's easier to miss a block if there's only one post. Usually I log in because my damn app isnt' working and I see multiple block posts and get a little excited. The multiple posts confirms it's legit and not someone's alarm going off.

So weeding through forum posts of repetitive things makes sense? It surely slows down productive conversation here and if you're looking to see if a block was hit b/c the app is failing, why not go directly to the pool website?

I can do that yes, but I usually log into here first because my login rarely works from my phone; for some reason it always fails login. So, when I log in it's nice to see we hit a block AND it's not being reported by just one guy who's app may have mistakenly reported erroneous information.

No, weeding through forum posts of repetitive things does not make sense. I never said that, but thanks for creating a new one with your post. All I'm saying is it's not that big of a deal and is not even close to the same thing as some of the repetitive posts. That is all.

Wait a second.....are you just irritated that you didn't call firsties on a block reporting?  Grin

Either the Exodus wallet is limited or I'm not doing something right.....
Trying to consolidate but it won't let me send it to my own address it says. I only generates 2 addresses and won't let me create another or send to myself.

Is it just a coincidence that the same day you order 2x more Antminers your car gets T-boned by a Toyota AVALON?!
I think they call that a hint...

P.S. - Hope everyone's alright.

Luckily I have full coverage because the guy driving the car that hit didn't speak any English and had none. Everyone is okay, thanks for asking.

Thank you for your response and expertise.  I had already read everything in the Help>Payouts section on Kano.is, but being new, it's slightly over my head about the nuances of how it works.  What you expressed about the wind up and wind down actually help put it in perspective much easier than what I read in the help section.  That was a helpful analogy, so thank you for that.

If there is an average of 5 days to help make things more consistent, what doesn't seem to be consistent still is the payout on average.  I will search for more information in this forum to attempt to answer my own question.

dThank you, again, for your great explanation and how this group can possibly treat the naive.

It's not that big of a deal, we've all been there (myself included). We've had an attempt to simplify it a few times in return for a large sum of terahash for a reward and still could not quite get it to click for a member. Everyone has their own way of understanding so whatever works.

I originally meant the pages in the thread you can find almost any answer to, but it can be daunting to search all of the pages. Don't be afraid to ask, I was just warning you if you get some responses that come across as impatient, do understand there is a reason why.  Grin

Hi Everyone,

I am rather new here and have a couple of questions.  It seems that the giveaway is quite old, am I correct?  I would assume there are no giveaways at this time?

Also, I have been mining using Kano for a couple of weeks now.  For some reason, my last payout took 4 days and it was just the minimum payout of just over 0.001.  My payouts previously were almost every day of the same amount.  What am I not understanding?

Thank you for any help.

There's quite a bit you probably won't understand unless you do some reading in the forum pages. I guarantee you will find the answers to these concerns as they are brought up quite frequently.

In short, the 7 BTC giveaway is explained on the first page and is for very large miners.

Payouts are sent in the next block found.

The payouts below the minimum are considered dust and will be sent when the code is worked out by Kano.
If you've been here for 2 weeks then you are "ramped up" which is just an average of your shares over the last 5x Network Difficulty . These shares and your work is not forgotten, just spread out so if you unplug, lose power or leave, the payouts will keep paying and ramping back down your average until it hits zero.

For more information, you can look further into the thread or ask a more specific question and most likely get an answer. Just keep in mind these are asked repetitively and you may come across some salty responses.

Pretty sad watching my hash rate fall this low while old miners leave and awaiting the arrival of my new S9's. The anticipation is killing me.

I will be back up and stronger than ever though. Waiting on 4 and will be placing an order for another 2 very soon (I'm just trying to play the market when it's ahead).

Thanks to all for the wheelin' and dealin' on the coupons to make it possible. Just placed x2 S7's & PSU in shipping for userghost to keep them on Kano. I love it.

MINE ON !!!

Or help him ramp up faster with your hash then switch back.

Reimbursement in BTC probably makes the most sense though.

Coupons needed are $300 and up and I would need x2 in order to release the miner. Also willing to pay a small fee for coupons instead if nobody wants to keep this type of "exchange program" going.

Are s7's still profitable or mainly obsolete. I know it depends on electricity. I pay .085 kWh. Is this a fully functioning s7 or one with 2 dashboards?

As a business model, no.

Have 2 left. Currently hashing at Kano with rate in pic.

Sent u a message I'll take them if that deal works for you.
Just got up here after responding to flooding...oy...but wanted to say I've got 3 S7s at the Ice Planet, and they still make money. I'm working on replacing them with 841s, but mainly because I have to replace an existing machine with a better one to increase hash, as they're still out of amps. Not too sure if a higher hosting cost would still be viable, though.

I didn't expand on that. They are profitable for me as well, but it really depends on the cost of power and what you expect in the long run. I don't use earnings to pay my power bill either, so in the long run YES they will be profitable for me as well. Upgrading for more efficiency.

Also, I did take up userghost on that offer and they are no longer available. Thanks everyone! Mine on!
