I don't think we need another compilation thread for these. It suffices to have just one that's updated. There's been ~5 now IIRC. Roll Eyes
Was there a theme like this before?

After billionaire George Soros is believed to have invested in Bitcoin. Venrock, a $ 3 billion venture capital fund of the Rockefeller family, is also entering the crypto market.

Need to keep your eyes wide open for him.  You can bet there will be some massive whale fuckery going on when he steps into the water.
I think so, let's wait for what happens when he joins this market
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / George Soros , who is about to join the cryptocurrencies ? on: April 08, 2018, 11:45:40 AM
“Normally when you have a parabolic curve, eventually it has a very sharp break,” Soros said. “But in this case, as long as you have dictatorships on the rise you will have a different ending, because the rulers in those countries will turn to Bitcoin to build a nest egg abroad.”
George Soros thinks cryptocurrencies are a bubble. He’s about to start trading them anyway.

George Soros vs. the British Pound
The British pound shadowed the German mark leading up to the 1990s, even though the two countries were very different economically. Germany was the stronger country, despite lingering difficulties from reunification, but Britain wanted to keep the value of the pound above 2.7 marks. Attempts to adhere to this standard left Britain with high interest rates and equally high inflation, but it demanded a fixed rate of 2.7 marks to a pound as a condition of entering the European Exchange Rate Mechanism (ERM).

Many speculators, George Soros chief among them, wondered how long fixed exchange rates could fight market forces, and they began to take up short positions against the pound. Soros borrowed heavily to bet more on a drop in the pound. Britain raised its interest rates to double digits to try to attract investors. The government was hoping to alleviate the selling pressure by creating more buying pressure.

Paying out interest costs money, however, and the British government realized that it would lose billions trying to artificially prop up the pound. It withdrew from the ERM and the value of the pound plummeted against the mark. Soros made at least $1 billion off this one trade. For the British government's part, the devaluation of the pound actually helped, as it forced the excess interest and inflation out of the economy, making it an ideal environment for businesses.

71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: April 03, 2018, 12:06:40 PM
^  Yup pretty much.  LFC vs City tho...  I think that's gonna be 2 - 2 or something over 3 goals.  But as I said before if I were not a City fan I would def put some money on the +0 at 2.18 (just recently) for a Liverpool win.  They got the edge being at home.

Jealous of LFC_Bitcoin.  He'll be there getting drunk and singing songs of Klopp, Mane, Salah...

I like Liverpool and their style since J. Klopp led, but I also enjoyed Pep's play-offs for Manchester City. Pep is a talented coach, he will help City champion Premiership league this season. This battle is difficult to say in advance

Juventus - Read Madrid HT 0-0 well I am not completely sure how this match will go but I am gonna try that particular bet because Juventus are playing at home so one would expect minimal goals if any. GL everyone  Cool
Yeah! I think Bayern will win easily sevilla. The match between Real Madrid and Juventus will result in a draw

79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase support the ERC20 token ! on: March 28, 2018, 04:23:02 PM
Is there even any shred of evidence that this is true? Do you even know what an ERC20 token is?

There are far too many shitty ETH tokens out there for this to ever be officially supported by coinbase.

If true, this is a big play by coinbase!  Coinbase is kind of a crypto "gateway for newbs, so it is good if they support erc-20 tokens in their wallets!

Cool! Cool Cool Cool Cool

How is an ERC20 noob friendly? You have to understand how Ethereum works to even grasp the concept of a token. I agree with you that this is a big play by coinbase tho. Too bad it came too late now that the market is in the red. Greed will be the end of us all.
Do not be too disappointed. Be greedy when others are scared!
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase support the ERC20 token ! on: March 28, 2018, 01:46:31 AM
Coinbase probably wants to take profit from decentralized exchanges like tokendelta.

If only this bit of good news came when the market cap was at $700 billion. This would have probably sky-rocketted Ethereum to $2000. Everything seems to be down and people seem to have less interest in crypto. Looking on the bright side, a steady stream of good news like this should surely bring us back up.
I read the official news from Twitter Coinbase. If this is correct, I think ETH will rise sharply
