1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The 10 Best Crypto Exchanges - Which one do you use the most? on: March 11, 2020, 01:49:26 PM
Finding the right cryptocurrency exchange can be a challenge. In this article, we outline the ten best exchanges and what makes them special.

https://selfkey.org/the-10-best-crypto-exchanges/

Which one do you use the most?
Is this a joke or what? The only good exchange mentioned in that article is Binance which happen to be my exchange of choice as its easier for me to convert my crypto to fiat and withdraw directly to my Bank account without hassles. But the others mentioned in the article are shit exchanges that are characterized by high withdrawal fee ( hitbtc ) fake trading volume ( hotbit, p2pb2b, Bilaxy and Latoken ), unnecessary delay of withdrawals as seen with P2PB2B. And a host of many other problems. Please only post facts here and not some paid shill.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is everyone expecting continuous growth? on: March 11, 2020, 11:52:49 AM
I don't know if it's only my perception but I constantly notice people who expect continuous growth. Whether it is bitcoin, crypto,
stock, they only see one side of things and never the opposite.

Yes, things go up but they can go down, and going down does not mean the stock/crypto is dying. It means it is alive!
So please stop all these recession & bitcoin going down topics and be wise

Thank you for raising this important point as far as investment in crypto, stocks or even forex is concerned. Some investors or day traders forget the fact that the volatility involved in these markets makes it worthwhile for investors to take profit at a particular point. The ups and downs makes it a market and also makes the market attractive to new investors. I will conclude by saying whenever there is a deep in the market, its an indication that profit has been taken by those that entered low and this opens up an opportunity for others to get a good entry point into the market.

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Now Legal In India? on: March 11, 2020, 07:37:07 AM
Blockchain advocates have hailed the recent Indian Supreme Court’s pro-crypto ruling as a landmark for adoption and development. Now, new forces are emerging that seek to put the brakes on India’s rapid embrace of cryptocurrency.  What do you think about the future of crypto in India, guys?
For the benefit of those that would like to get a direct link to the ruling of the supreme court against the ban placed by the Indian reserve bank on crypto, here is the link https://www.coindesk.com/indias-supreme-court-lifts-banking-ban-on-crypto-exchanges . As far as india is concerned crypto has come to stay in that country. Yes the forces against crypto are still fighting back the ruling as the reserve bank is preparing to file a review of the supreme court ruling (https://www.theblockcrypto.com/post/57987/indias-central-bank-plans-to-file-a-review-petition-on-supreme-courts-crypto-ruling-report). One thing is sure, Crypto always win.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a failed experiment? on: March 10, 2020, 09:38:25 PM
Today I'm thinking of selling my BTC even though it would be a big loss right now I've been with BTC a while and used to the volitility but this time I believe it's different

I was a believer in BTC and the future of crypto I believed having 1 or more BTC was a smart thing to do that many would look back in 10 to 20 years wishing they'd bought some when it was still obtainable by the regular Joe.

Now I feel that BTC will trend down hitting sub 1 dollars prices possibly even 0 over the next 12 to 18 months. the current coronavirus outbreak has been BTCs first real test and it failed hard and failed immediately. It's not a store of wealth and its failure to hold value in a economic down turn is spectacular and visible to all.  Today I think BTC is a failed experiment. What are your thoughts?
I would like to start by asking you what you understand by the term 'failed project.' And what are your criteria of concluding a project to be a failed one?. Permit me to say that your understanding of Bitcoin to a failed project is totally flawed as Bitcoin grew in price from less than a dollar to almost 20,000 dollars and its currently being traded around 8,900 US dollars. Will you term such a project failed? Again it shocking to see people connect the correction in price of Bitcoin to the coronavirus outbreak when its obvious that this is just the typicalarket correction. As for the possibility of Bitcoin hitting zero, that is clearly not going to happen not after the mass adoption of Bitcoin currently sweeping through countries of the world.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would You Rent A Car With Bitcoin? on: March 10, 2020, 05:23:36 PM
Hi guys, I'm working in the travel industry and recently found some global online travel agencies such as EasyRentCars start getting into crypto payments. I wonder how many crypto owners would be more interesting to purchase the service if the company accepts cryptocurrency? Would that be an effective feature?

I think it is not refundable when you rent a car with bitcoin. Right after I read this topic, I make a research and found this out https://www.e-zrentacar.com/blog/paying-for-your-car-rental-with-bitcoin/ .Yes I get the point of not bringing large amount of money on your pocket but I am still wondering what would I feel if bitcoin price rises. Of course I'll first regret because if I used fiat instead of crypto in that car rental, I already gain profit in my bitcoin.
If we are to consider Bitcoin as money, using it to pay for services shouldn't be hampered by possible value of the coin tomorrow. Another important thing to note is that when you pay for such rentals using Bitcoin there are no hidden charges or unnecessary debits from your bank as it is the case with paying through credit cards. In my own opinion, paying for rentals services with Bitcoin is an advantage to clients rather than the company.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Frances as of this year. on: March 10, 2020, 01:54:33 PM
The good news about the crypto community, yesterday, French court calls bitcoin as legal currency. Bitcoin is official now official money in France. We should expect now that they will be going to support the bitcoin mining machine in their country and they will going to boost up the bitcoin in their country.

So the lending, trading, investing, buying and selling of different currencies in their country are all allowed now. The thing about this is bitcoin becomes so good in different country, bitcoin became so known in different country all over the world, they already see the benefits of different currencies, Cryptocurrency is much safer and faster than fiat currency in terms of transactions, because, you don't even need to make effort, go to some establishment to progress the transactions, all things can be done through the use of internet, that is what I really want in cryptocurrency.

The good thing about other cryptocurrencies that accept it in their land, is they may earn so much money compared to what fiat currencies can give to them.

Aside from that, it is good for investing and trading because for sure you will earn from it, because of the volatility of cryptocurrencies.
This news alongside that of South Korea recognising Bitcoin as a currency comes to the crypto space at the time its much needed. If France which is one of the world super powers recognises Bitcoin it means it is only a matter of time before every other country of the world recognises Bitcoin as a true currency and a legal tender.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as Means of Donation on: March 10, 2020, 12:11:50 PM
Are you tired of explaining how we could use bitcoin as means of donation? Well, just a good news just come. The Human Rights has just announced that Bitcoin is now accepted in their platform as a good way to accept donation thru BTC pay server. They have said that bitcoin could be a tool for freedom, and donations will be used for their research and activities regarding human rights. See Link in here

Quote
For individuals in closed societies, or for anyone facing hyperinflation, capital controls, sanctions, or financial surveillance, Bitcoin can be a tool of freedom. Your donation of BTC will help HRF research and advocate for people's rights and liberties across the world.

With that all said, if we have a project, a charity as an example, it might be easier for us to seek for donations thru the means of bitcoin. That if people question why bitcoin? then a good answer is probably the latest news concerning human rights promotion of using bitcoin as donation.

Well, we have figured tons of usage on how we could utilize bitcoin. Donation through bitcoin is just one of it that we should take into consideration but just make sure that we are responsible enough and we'll take care of the funds without any bad intentions. Bitcoin has opened allot of opportunities that we could take, and we should know how to use it well. Remember, the development of bitcoin will be based on the people who are using it. We shouldn't make the reputation of bitcoin bad just because of our personal interest.
I would first of all say congratulation to the crypto community for yet another win in this space. The human rights watch is a reputable body and if it now accept Bitcoin as a means of donation for sponsoring its operation, then it is a big news for crypro lovers. That been said, factors such as low transaction fees, speed of transactions and privacy of donor and most especially transparency might be amongst the many reasons why the body has opted to accept Bitcoin as a means of donation. Bitcoin remains a solid store of value and will become more popular as days roll by.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin declined 3% as the coronavirus spread in italy on: March 10, 2020, 09:56:32 AM

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-traditional-markets-drop-3-as-coronavirus-spreads-in-italy

As the coronavirus spread in Italy recently, bitcoin market has dropped 3% and also the traditional market including all the top ranked cryptocurrencies. Can coronavirus spreading be the cause?

I still maintain my position on that this  recent slide in price of Bitcoin is not as a result of the coronavirus outbreak but a simple manipulation by those holding huge sum of Bitcoin. If this information I  bumped into is correct then I think there is no need to worry as the market should be on the reverse mood anytime soon. The real reason for the recent deep is allegedly caused by Bitfinex selling off about 21,000 BTC (https://www.trendsmap.com/twitter/tweet/1237270740149268481). This has let to panic , thus making small others sell at a loss. My advice is to stay still and hold your positions.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: March 9 2020, Start of Bearish Season on: March 10, 2020, 09:11:21 AM

Good day to all of you, I think my topic isn't that really appealing, though I hope we could still learn some lesson from it to stick with bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

According to this article, the performance of bitcoin for the next months will not be appealing because of the factors such as COVID-19, and because of the 13000 Bitcoin lost from Plus Token Ponzi.

These factors are merely fundamental analyis why market price of bitcoin and cryptocurrency changes.

According to dailyfx.com, there is allot of patterns that shows that bearish season is about to come through the use of technical/market analysis of the graph of bitcoin.

April 2 - March 9, 2020

December 1 - March 9, 2020

Bitcoin couldn't break the 50 day moving average test that signifies that bitcoin's market price will continue to decline. There is also other signals that says that the non breaking of resistance of bitcoin's market is the reason why bitcoin remains to be declining.

Quote
On the other hand, any failure in closing below the low end of the zone signals bears reluctance. This could lead some of them to exit the market causing a rally towards the high end of the zone. Further close above that level could push the price even higher towards $9.579. Nevertheless, the weekly resistance level underscored on the chart should be kept in focus.

In reality, we don't have nothing to be feared of with today's market condition. If we hold many bitcoin, this is not the end and we're not lost yet. The bear season or bear market should serve as a way for us to invest more bitcoin and don't think about losing but to take it as opportunity. I can still remember, last year, the price of bitcoin dropped low to 3000 dollars. It increases in just a short time and that's how volatile bitcoin is. As long as we know that there is a reason for us to invest, we should always continue, what more today, when bitcoin halving is about to come. This will result to scarcity for miners and will force them to sell at higher price and market price increase holistically over time. I'm pretty sure that we could still have profit, that's why what we just need is to believe in Bitcoin, and take the bear season as a challenge to our patience.
All the time I have spent trading Bitcoin and other digital assets, I have learnt not to fully depend on these technical analysis as there points are always based on if this and if that. There has never been any bit of certainty in all their analysis and graphs they dish out to the crypto community. Why will I depend on analysis that is based on if this and if that. The current deep in the market is simply a correction of the steady rise in thee value of Bitcoin in the past few weeks. This deep in my own opinion is not tied to convid19, it is Whales cashing out at high prices causing many small holders to panic sell even at a loss while the whales buy the cheaper BTC. A reversal is about to happen.
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: Convert or HODL? on: March 10, 2020, 07:22:57 AM
After recent dump is it still safe to hodl on to our existing bitcoin or convert it to USDT? I have just converted my bitcoin into USDT and I will be monitoring the market closely with multiple reminders to buy back when the value starts increasing so that I don't use my existing balance and eventually buyback more than I have right now? How many of you agree with my idea? Kindly share your suggestions.
I will look at this from two angles, firstly for those who have tethered, finding the new entry point is very important so as not to loose your position. As it stands I would suggest entering back into the market at different positions, this means it will be better to split your USDT into fractions and buy back in at different positions, as the price reversal might set in anytime. Secondly, for those who did not tether and where caught in the deep, there is no need to sell off now in my own opinion as the reverse trend might kick start any moment from now. Converting to USDT now might get you into a big loss. Just my opinion, decide wisely.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a FIAT to Crypto payment gateway for website on: March 10, 2020, 05:55:56 AM
Is there any service for merchant, where a payment gateway provider will receive payment in credit card and then send you BTC

Thanks
If I clearly understand your question, you are looking for a platform where you can directly purchase BTC using your credit cards. If this is the case, you location will determine your platform of choice for such transactions. Lately, Binance exchange has made purchase of Btc with credit cards easier and fee friendly for countries they support, Recently they added the gateway for Nigeria at a very reduced fee. You can also check on them to see if they support such services in your country.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can porn sites make bitcoin more popular or will it brings negative effects? on: March 10, 2020, 02:59:12 AM
As we all know, porn sites are at the top which are frequently visited by people in the internet world. So in my opinion if a porn site accepts
payments with bitcoin it will make bitcoin more popular and used by many people.Because transactions on porn sites we need privacy and
bitcoin can provide a solution. But on the other hand we have to admit porn sites can make the image worse in the eyes of some people.
So in your opinion, if a porn site accepts payments with bitcoin can make bitcoin more popular or will it be dangerous for the future of bitcoin
because it brings negative effects?

Just as you have pointed out in your post, Pornographic sites are one of the most visited website on the internet today. Visitors of porn sites cuts accros age, religion, race and believs. If these sites decides to accept Bitcoin as a means of payment, it will no doubt bring about better exposure of Bitcoin to more persons across the world as in my own opinion will be a preferred means of payment due to its ability to keep the privacy of its users intact. With the above being said, I only see positive vibes for Bitcoin if it becomes aeans of payment on porn sites.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever lost access to your Bitcoins? on: March 09, 2020, 08:56:37 PM
What is your story of not being able to access your Bitcoin wallet with Bitcoins in them.

What have you tried to retrieve them?
Although I have never had an issue of not being able to access my Bitcoin wallet holding any amount of Bitcoin, but I have had an issue of misplaced keys holding another assets. It wasn't a funny experience as I needed to trade the asset for fiat in order to solve a problem I had offline. I became increasingly devasted at every passing hour as I combed through all nooks and crannies of my house. It was a sorry stated for me that day. Till now I am yet to find the keys to that wallet. This is one very ugly side of cryptocurrencies. That experience taught me better ways to protect and keep my crypto assets safe and secured.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Corona is spreading in many countries!! Bitcoin is a solution for transactions on: March 09, 2020, 06:28:25 PM
we can see data in real-time from this site about Covid-19 Virus (Corona) which is currently serving almost all over the world

source: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

many effects that occur due to the spread of the virus that until now there has been no cure (report from WHO), not only deaths and economic changes have occurred due to the spread of this virus, but also many others;

1. Kab'ah empty
this is one of the extraordinary effects because we know that the Kab'ah is never empty by worshipers who want to worship (even during renovations).

2. Prices of spare parts (electronic devices & vehicles) are rising
China is famous for its counterfeit goods (KW) and cheapness, as a result of the spread of this virus many countries have shut down (export-import) to or from China.

3. the appearance of strange greetings "Leg Shaking"
many people and even state officials are afraid to touch hands (shaking hands) so they do "Leg Shaking" to still be able to maintain intimacy and avoid contracting the coronavirus.

there are many more effects that occur and I can not explain one by one here (because it must be too long)  Cheesy

if everyone is afraid to touch each other, are they not afraid of fiat money when they trade because the virus can spread through paper money (drooling or sweating)??

This is the time we really use Bitcoin and CryptoCurrency as a means of exchange because we are physically not in contact with other people so we avoid contracting the Covid-19 virus (Corona).

I hope the governments of countries around the world can think about this and even campaign it in their respective countries (doing transactions with digital money, cryptocurrency and not with paper money)

I posted on a similar thread that is the information on the below link https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2020/03/08/who-offers-advice-about-using-cash-as-coronavirus-continues-totransactions is anything to go by, then Bitcoin might be the best option in carrying out transactions. With the use of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, financial transactions can be carried out without fear of contacting the virus through exchange of currencies. Thus is clearly an added advantage to the existence of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we going to see another PANIC on: March 09, 2020, 04:48:20 PM
Bitcoin has decreased significantly within last days. In some of the local group I am active, some people are trying to sell their Bitcoin, some are looking for what's happening and it seems to be little panic here.
If the price continue to decrease, I think it will create more panic which will bring capitulation, will not it?
The term panic is synonymous to crash in the value of Bitcoin. Most holders seem to panic sell even at a loss when a sharp decrease of this nature occurs in the crypto space. Most often, those that panic sell are those with small holdings who must have spent an amount they can't afford to lose in buying BTC, out of fear, these persons sell even at a loss just to get something out of their investment without thinking of the possibility of BTC recovering in price. The term panic is presently in the space and more persons will sell low now and buy high again when the reversal begins. This is crypto for you.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do due to the huge market collapse of the Bitcoin? on: March 09, 2020, 04:02:24 PM
Corona virus had a great impact in the crypto market. Even, few days back the market price of bitcoin was more than 10000$ but recently it crashed down to 6000$. Bitcoin market had a fresh start in this year as the market price of all the crypto currencies was higher. But the recent bitcoin market collapse is the lowest market price in this year. Even when the talks of World War 3 and other country problems started, there was no problem in the crypto market.
For now,it would be better for the traders to hold their crypto and wait for the price to increase to avoid loss.I hope this problem will be recovered soon.
I will firstly correct you on the current low as far as this new crash is concerned. The Atl in the last 48 hrs is around $7632. Please get your facts right. As for the cause of the crash, I stand to disagree that its related to coronavirus. I think this is a clear case of market correction and nothing to do with the coronavirus outbreak as the price of bitcoin has been on the rise for some weeks now. For every massive rise in price there is bound to be corrections of this form. If caught in this deep, please hold as whales are only having a nice time manipulating the market. A rebound is imminent in my own opinion.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin become a safe haven for corona virus economic impact? on: March 09, 2020, 03:14:58 PM
If the information regarding bank notes https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2020/03/08/who-offers-advice-about-using-cash-as-coronavirus-continues-to-spread/amp/) is anything to go by,  Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies can be the much needed safe haven in carrying out daily transactions. Permit me to say, that coronavirus issue is only for a while and as such there is no need for panic as this will be handled in a no distant time.
