1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we live without btc? on: May 30, 2021, 05:03:00 AM
15 years ago people were convinced they can live without smartphones and laptops. Does this mean we don't need them now?
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing only for the rich? Think again on: May 30, 2021, 04:53:06 AM
Well, if I have only $10 left, what should I invest in to multiple my investment?
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin last till infinity on: May 30, 2021, 04:45:08 AM
I believe Bitcoin can't be banned or destroyed by the government because of its decentralized nature.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL ₿itcoin for Life, not for Lifetime. on: March 15, 2021, 06:36:19 AM
I prefer the concept "hodl for better life". Having Bitcoin you can't/aren't going ever spend = Having no Bitcoin.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin/Crypto Carbon Tax? on: March 15, 2021, 06:18:11 AM
I assume Bitcoin mining will be less attractive for newcomers and the price will go down.
6  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OWNR wallet. Buy, exchange and store crypto. Order Visa prepaid card. on: March 08, 2021, 07:07:33 AM
What about bank card fees? Are you going to make it cheaper? 40 eur for card issuance is really too much as for me. And is it possible to increase monthly limits if i need a bit more?
Thanks for your feedback! We are working hard to reduce the fees. And in the near future we will implement this and significantly reduce the cost of card issuing. Unfortunately, we cannot increase the limits.
I'm glad to hear that. This card is cool and easy in use, finally I can manage most of my finances inside one app. Anyway, I tried to recommend Ownr card my friends, they said the fee was too high.
7  Economy / Economics / Re: Tweets as Non-fungible tokens (NFT) - Dorsey's million dollar tweet on: March 08, 2021, 06:55:27 AM
Am I the only person who can't understand what are NFT tweets needed for? I also can't understand this NFT craze.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin after the pandemic on: March 08, 2021, 06:08:45 AM
Theoretically Bitcoin is the perfect solution for the inflation problem, in fact, the pandemic showed Bitcoin is still far from being the world currency.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin mixers are only for criminals on: March 08, 2021, 05:47:36 AM
If Bitcoin mixers are designed for criminals, privacy coins are designed for criminals only too. Why do ordinary people need privacy if they have nothing to hide?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: One Altcoin to invest on: December 26, 2020, 05:02:38 AM
Sometimes investing in altcoins means loosing your Bitcoin, don't invest more than you can't afford to loose. Maybe you should choose LTC or Tron. I keep both of them on my Ownr wallet for a long time, these alts are getting more and more volume day by day.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin anonymous? on: December 26, 2020, 04:42:54 AM
Yeah, Bitcoin transactions are traceable, but there are tools to make Bitcoin anonymous like Bitcoin mixers. So achieving reasonable anonymity with Bitcoin can be quite complicated.
12  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Mr. Mnuchin plans to regulate non-custodial wallets. on: December 05, 2020, 02:24:00 AM
I'm not positive about these restrictions, but I understand that the mass adoption isn't possible without the strict regulations.

Should I buy some more now only or wait if the price dips a bit?
No one knows. Bitcoin is very volatile. The price may go up or down unexpectedly.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why New Crypto Projects are Dump ? on: October 31, 2020, 08:16:11 AM
Most crypto entrepreneurs launch their projects not to solve existing problems, but to make profits.
15  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: walletscrutiny: the majority of "wallets" are either custodial or closed source on: October 04, 2020, 04:01:50 AM
The most important for mobile crypto wallet is to be non-custodial. I use both open source wallets like Samourai and BRD and closed source like Ownr. And I notice any differences.
16  Economy / Exchanges / Re: KuCoin Has Found The Hackers Who Stole $281 Million on: October 04, 2020, 03:40:00 AM
Kucoin made the great work and it took them a couple of weeks. In comparison Bitfinex couldn't recover 120,000 Bitcoin stolen in 2016. I'm interested if Kucoin will be able to get all $281M back?
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Scams and Government on: October 01, 2020, 07:31:51 AM
This exchange has got almost seven executives who are the team. It is a new kind of trap, because with the people who doesn't have much knowledge about cryptocurrency they've mentioned about creating their own cryptocurrency and assured of 30% - 40% return monthly.
There is nothing new here. Greedy people believe in possibility to make profit doing nothing, and scammers cheat them.
18  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What are the risks of mobile wallets? on: August 23, 2020, 04:36:44 AM
The most common risks except the risk of loosing your smartphone are phishing scams and ransomware. How can you enhance your security?
1. Regularly update the software and antivirus solution.
2. Use a reliable password manager
3. Download a VPN to ensure your anonymity online.
4. Use two wallets for cold and hot storage. I like Ledger and Ownr.

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: key safety strategies? on: August 23, 2020, 04:14:38 AM
Make a multisig wallat, 2/2
Print out each keys, two copies each.
Key A X 2
Key B X 2

Give the copy of Key A to a group of people, family A
Give the copy of Key B to a group of people, family B

Make sure these two group, family do not know each others, but they are common known to you and close to you of course.

You can have more than 2 copies of each key but it's safer when you have lesser copies. The reason for two copies each is just in case anything happen to one copy then you always have another copy as backup.
Wow, it sounds so interesting and sophisticated. IMO the easiest way: try to learn your key by heart and keep the printed  out copy in a wall safe.
20  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Reccomended wallets on: August 17, 2020, 10:46:24 AM
