Telegram is good means for ICOs to reach their audience but I don't necessarily agree that the number in a telegram group will guarantee the ICO success, the group might just be filled with airdrop participants who are waiting to receive their airdrop tokens.

I wouldn't sell my altcoins for BTC irrespective of what I read or hear, I am a strong believer in diversification. My portfolio is mainly altcoins, I buy and sell and buy again. In that cycle.
This might work but at the end you might end up losing more than you would have if you had cut your losses and put the fund elsewhere. What if the price never recovers or takes a long time to and by that time you've exhausted all your patience?
Diversification is good but that doesn't mean it has no negative side. Having many coins means you have a better chance of making a profit from one of them.
This is one of those cycles that keep repeating itself, these exchanges should be able to protect themselves from any outside intrusion.
I have read a lot of Whitepapers, once I see a promising ICO I try to gather all information I can get about them both from their social media pages.
The most I've waited for was 30 days, 6 months durstion is too long if you ask me. By then I would have forgotten about the project.
First of all, you need to acquaint yourself with the needed beginners knowledge, either from reading blogs or watching YouTube videos, don't hastily start only to make a mistake along the line.
Not just in cryptocurrency but it's applicable to every life venture, before venturing into any thing new you must have to first of learn, learn, learn more because there's no time you will say you have learnt all you need to learn. The learning process never ends.

Who would think of leaving his job for crypto? The fact that the entire market is so volatile makes it a bad idea to leave ones job for crypto, I'd advice a parity between the two if you want to go into crypto.
I wouldn't advice anyone to quit his job, but if you have in interest whether it's in trading, bounty hunting or what not you can always find time to those those but not at the expense of your job.
I think it might be related to the volatility of crypto in general, it might be worth $1 at the moment, in the next minute it has tripled, so some see it as a get rich quick scheme.
That's a lot of money now compared to 2011, if it were me I would be so gutted. That's why I have taken the pain to store my keys, files on different storage devices.
Another scam is they state a certain amount of tokens for the bounty but at the end of the campaign they will refuse to honour it and only send out a few.
I'm afraid I agree with you, it has been a terrible experience for me. My telegram is filled with many ICOs airdrop channel, most of them I've even forgotten about them.
I like Binance especially for its market volume and again it has a trusted mobile app that's very easy to use, secondly I like Bittrex that's where I hold most of my altcoins.
I don't think it will come to an end but we might end up having very few investors interested in new ICOs if the current ones are not harnessed properly, investors may no longer feel safe about putting their money in any ICO that pops up.
I completely agree with you, it's more like a work to me because where I'm from you can earn more than an average worker's annual salary just from participating in one bounty campaign.
Ethereum would be the choice for me, it has the better tendency for a price rise and also it can be easily traded on many exchanges against other altcoins.
I don't think this is a loss, you only took profit when you did. What if you had waited 3 days only for the price to plummet? But one that I have learnt is that good coins will always win.
